(Fan)Light and Dark Wars(T)

When Jonathan awoke it had been snowing for hours. The white frost engulfed the roof of his cottage, and the walls of the castle.

Jonathan tied a cotton undergarment, and some leather boots onto himself. He covered his body in steel armor. He walked outside. These were the days of war. You never knew when a bird flew by or you were under attack.

Across the distance he heard the war cry of Sir Galahad.
“We are under Attack!” He shouted. “Ready your weapons!”
Jonathan withdrew his sword from the cottage, and shield. When he returned, arrows reigned down from the sky. Ten-maybe twenty-Knights were pierced, Galahad included.
More arrows reigned down as Jonathan held up his shield. After about twenty minutes, the arrows stopped coming. Knights rushed out of the castle, while the door was opened for them. Jonathan ran after them.
When they attacked, the enemy archers fired back. Many knights were pierced in their unprotected arms, and many ran after the archers.
The castle-side archers fired at the enemy’s. Arrows were exchanged between the two. Knights fell, clad in their armor. Archers on both sides fell.
Jonathan ran at the enemy camp, deflecting arrows with his mighty shield. With a mighty slash, Jonathan knocked out two of the archers.
Soon, the castle’s catapults rolled in. Rocks flew through the air as Black Knights fell, white knights remained. Archers of the enemy’s fired from the trees. Rocks on their side flew through the air, hitting knights near Jonathan, but not him. Snow flew through the air as a cause of the catapults. It was like a snowball fight, only much more deadly.
The catapults withdrew from the battlefield. Jonathan hit more archers. Other knights near him, Sir Max, and Sir Brian, were swiping madly at the archers. Max hit two, swiping their heads off. Blood spewed from their necks. Brian, using his sword skills, had stabbed two through the heart.
“Silly archers,” Max said. “They don’t even wear proper armor!”
“I agree,” Brian said. “Only leather garments that they think protect them…”
The two continued swiping at the Archers.
“I’ll go and try to find the head officer,” Cried Brian over the roar of the fighting. He jumped from tree to tree to try and find the officer.

Hours passed. The fighting continued. Sir Brian had not returned. Max and Jonathan were beginning to get worried.
“I’m sure he’s fine,” Said Jonathan. “He is, after all, a very skilled knight.”
“I hope so,” Max said. Tears were forming in their eyes. They knew he probably would not return.

“RETREAT!” Is all Jonathan and Max heard over the roar of battle. Suddenly, enemy archers began withdrawing from the field Max and Jonathan decided not to charge after them. They stayed, and searched for Brian.
“BRIAN!” Called Jonathan. Max repeated. They were calling for what seemed like hours, and nothing was heard. They gave up hope. They wiped away tears from their eyes. A brave knight that fought until death.

This is the first story I have EVER written that is not Zelda or Star Wars based. It is a story i wrote in Microsoft Word, that may take a while to finish, and i have not entirely planned it out. IT WILL TAKE A WHILE FOR ME TO POST CHAPTERS! I have just started this today!
