(Act/ZGen) Darunia's Flame [T]

First, some notes. I have already posted this on the Nintendo NSider Forums, so you can find it there. I didn't want to post it all at opnce, so I'll just be posting parts at a time and letting everyone reply as they wish. Here is the first couple of chapters:
~~~
The Legend of Zelda: Darunia's Flame
Chapter 1:Enter Bobo
Death Mountain. Perhaps the most memorable mountain in history. Atop its peak once stood a volcano, now dormant. Tektites roam the paths, scaring off unwary travelers. In its walls is the treacherous Dodongo's Cavern, and the legendary Fire Temple. But most importantly, Death Mountain is home to the primitive race of the Gorons. Their leader, Darunia, once ruled, but he is now but a memory. He was the Sage of Fire, a hero. And his ancestor, Bobo, now lives...
This is where our story truly begins...
Bobo's forehead was sweating like a dog. This was his first fight. The blue Tektite might've been weaker than its kin the red Tektite, but it still proved a worthy fight. Its four legs were visibly shaking, ready to spring in and attack. When it did, Bobo's oak-wood walking staff impaled its stomach! As the life crawled away from the Tektite's body, Bobo flung the corpse over the side of the Mountain and smiled. he did it. Bobo ran back to tell everyone.
~Chapter 2~
Coal looked up from his pile of logs he was carrying and saw Bobo running up the path to the shade area. "Hey there, Bobo. What you runnin' around for?" Coal asked. Bobo stopped, panting. His oak staff was now slung across his back. "I--I defeated a Tektite!" Bobo stood up. Coal scratched his ancient back before replying. "That's just dandy, wait 'til you tell the whole tribe. They'll be proud o' you. I know I am." Coal patted Bobo on the back as appreciation of his first kill. It marked the day a Goron became a true-born warrior, just like they're supposed to be. Coal walked off into Goron City. Bobo stayed behind and turned around to look over the edge of the tall, ominous Death Mountain. He laughed. Though it was called Death Mountain, the Goron residents were warm-hearted and ready to help any traveler who stumbled upon the humble abode of Goron City. Bobo walked slowly through the entrance, into Goron City.
~Chapter 3~
The gargantuan spinning statue of a Goron resided in the center of the City, ever-twirling. Bobo glanced at the landmark and walked to the left, up the spiral, stone path. The path wound up the sides of the vast dome-shaped City. As Bobo trod past the Goron shop, where Tektite meat and health potions were sold, he noticed a circle of adult Gorons looking down at the ground just a few paces away. Bobo rushed to see what the commotion was about. One of his friends, Edge, was amongst the group, and when he noticed Bobo, he beckoned to him, and a few others made a pathway for him. When Bobo was inside the huge circle, he looked at the rocky ground and gasped. A purple, luminescent diamond was layed on the ground! But this was no ordinary diamond. For inside its glassy surface was a strange dust that was moving around in it every second. He nudged Edge in the hip slightly, getting the Goron's attention. "Wh-what is that?..." inquired Bobo, entranced by the beauty of the diamond. Edge's reply was calm, yet in awe: "It fell from the sky. I'll tell ya later." Bobo nodded solemnly. Every single Goron was mesmerized.
~Chapter 4~
An hour later, Bobo and Edge were out on the path of Death Mountain, staring out to al of Hyrule: its vast fields, the castle, the Zora River, Lake Hylia, and Gerudo Valley. It was truly all a magnificent sight. The two then looked up. At the moon. "That," said Edge, "is where this ruby came from." Bobo was confused. "It..fell from the moon? How?" Edge shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly. He was more of a practical person. These supernatural things didn't concern him. He turned and left. But Bobo stayed behind. He looked at the ruby, the dust inside it, then the moon. Something was going on.
And he would find out what.
~Chapter 5~
At night, Bobo lay awake, looking at the ruby that fell from the sky. In his clay room, just one of the many dwellings that dotted Goron City, he sat up in bed. And just when his eyes were about to drift down and his head to nod into sleep, a beautiful voice rang out:
"Take me to the Temple of Time!"
Bobo looked up and gasped at the ruby. It had spoken! As he leaned in to pick up the ruby, he noticed the dust was now bunching up into the shape of a person. There was an immense light, and when it subsided, there was now a fairy inside the jewel! It wore a green tunic and long, flowing green hair. There was something different about her than most fairies, however. "Bobo...Take me to the Fairy Fountain..won't you please?" She looked desperate. Bobo was a level-headed person, and he knew this was his chance for adventure. She obviously needed help, and he was ready to give it. Bobo snatched up his oak staff, the ruby, and ran out of his room. He went down the ramp until he was at the exit. He turned back to the spinning Goron statue and smiled. The beginning of an adventure awaited him. With that, Bobo took off into the night.
Re: (Act/ZGen) Darunia's Flame [T]
~Chapter 6~
Hyrule gleamed with a luminescent light as Bobo took off down the path of Death Mountain Trail. His staff hit the ground every two steps, rising dust clouds. Tektites were still lurking in the shadows, ready for the perfect moment to strike. He glanced down at the ruby and the fairy within it. She would give him all the answers, he hoped. Why was he running around in the middle of the night just to get to the Temple of Time? Who was exactly this fairy, and why did she fall from the moon inside a ruby? And why was he even taking orders from someone shorter than an apple? Bobo shrugged these questions off for now. He needed to get through the Trail and off the mountain before midnight.
~
In a couple of minutes, Bobo saw the entrance gate to Kakariko Village just up ahead. He smiled and ran faster with newfound hope, but came to a halt when three Red Tektites hopped in his way! Bobo put his staff in both his hands and got ready to do some damage. The fairy within its ruby shouted encouragement: "Destroy those foul beasts! You can do it, Bobo." One Tektite hopped into the air, but the staff impaled his belly. He slung the body off, straight into the second one. The corpse and the Tektite went rolling over the edge. The third Tektite was smarter, and began circling Bobo until his back was facing the rock wall. As he leapt up and struck the Goron across the chest, the fairy shrieked as the sling she was in shook. She decided to help. "Here's a little something!" She waved her hands, and green sparks flew around Bobo, reviving him. The warrior got up once more and threw the staff at the Tektite's head so hard it went through, blood spraying the ground. Bobo pulled his staff out of the beast's dead body and went through the gate.
~Chapter 7~
Bobo strolled into Kakariko Village quite casually, but the villagers were uptight and cautious when they saw the Goron walking through their homeland. Bobo stopped at the Inn. The innkeeper welcomed them. Bobo handed him a few rupees and picked a room on the second--and top--floor. After laying his staff and sling down on the ground, the warrior took some well-deserved rest. But the fairy's mind was not at peace, however.
~
Far away, in an icy region filled with glaciers and blizzards, a castle stood. It was made of ice and frozen blood, forged by valkyries and knights long ago. In the top chamber, a SnowZora looked out the window. He was just like a Zora, except for the fact that his skin was more icy and he had mystical powers, like that of a sorcerer. He drummed on the open windowsill, watching covetously at the land of Glacia. He wanted to rule it so badly that he would kill for it. He was just a Wizard, one of ten, that were under King Glacia's rule. Out of them, he was the most cunning and ambitious. And he had been given the chance to rule hen he found out about an extremely rare and powerful "artifact". This "artifact" was hidden from knowledge for a very long time, but it was now under his possession. All he needed now was the one person who could activate the artifact and make him ruler over all...
~Chapter 8~
The sun came up over Kakariko Village, and the Cucoos broke into a chorus of clucks and doodle-do's. Children came out to play, as did the warm sunrays of Spring. Adults opened shop and parents began to cook breakfast. Bobo got out of bed and looked out the window at the beautiful sunrise. He yawned deeply, picked up his staff and sling, which contained the "special" ruby, and left his room. Downstairs, the innkeeper saw Bobo and rushed up to him, saying: "Hello, Sir! How did you sleep." Bobo walked past the frantic man. "Just fine..." The innkeeper still pursued him through the room. "Very happy to hear it. Um, this letter was sent to us when you were sleeping. It's for you." He handed the Goron a letter, held closed with an unusual symbol. It resembled the Zora's Sapphire, with misty blue markings around it. He quickly broke the seal and read the letter:
Dear Bobo of Goron City,
We understand that a few nights ago, a strange ruby fell from the sky on Death Mountain, and it was discovered by the Gorons. We also have word of you leaving Death Mountain with this ruby on what you described to fellow Gorons as "a mission". We would like to ask a small favor of you: Would you be so kind as to let us borrow this curious ruby and study it for a few days? You will get it back.
From,
Naxos
Suddenly, the fairy inside the ruby yelled with nervousness: "Don't! Don't, Bobo!" The innkeeper was already upstairs, out of earshot. Bobo opened the sling and looked her in the face with a warm smile. "Don't worry, little one. I will take you to the Temple of Time, just as you wanted. This 'Naxos' person must be out for the ruby you're in. I will not betray you."
~Chapter 9~
As Bobo and the fairy left the inn and walked through the wakening village, Bobo buffeted the creature with questions:
"So...Naxos. Who is that? Someone you don't like? Heck, I don't even know YOUR name yet.."
The fairy sighed. "You can call me Yaroko. And Naxos..." her voice trailed off, and she looked like she just saw a ghost. Bobo stopped walking. She obviously feared Naxos.
"Well?" he asked. She stood up straight in the ruby.
"Naxos is a SnowZora. Have you heard of them?" Yaroko wouldn't avert her eyes from her hands while she spoke. Bobo shook his head "no", so she continued: "SnowZoras are creatures very similar to Zoras, except they live far in the north and have ice-cold water running through their veins. Naxos was a sorcerer, one of ten, who found me when I..I "crashed" there. It seemed like years ago. When I could actually walk and I wasn't the size of a tomato.."
Bobo smiled. The story was getting interesting. "So, what did he do to you?"
Yaroko furrowed her brow in anger when she thought of the cold man. "He knew what I was and what I had with me. He took..um...that which I had with me...and wanted me to..er..make it more...valuable, you could say. But I fled. I fled as fast as I could. But--" she choked on a sob.
"What is it, Yaroko?" Bobo asked. She was trying not to remember something painful.
"But I was no match for a sorcerer of his caliber. He cast a curse on me, imprisoning me in this confounded ruby and transporting me miles and miles away to Death Mountain." Yaroko breathed deeply, then was silent.
The Goron was amazed at the story. He just kept walking in silence. This was more interesting than anything that had happened to him. Presently, the stairway out the village came into view, and Bobo ran down them. He was now in Hyrule Fields, one step closer to the Temple of Time.
~Chapter 10~
Naxos scowled at the thought of Yaroko. That confounded fairy had escaped her icy clutches. He put a curse on her that she was encased n a ruby, but she was trying to warp at the time, so it sent her halfway around the world to Hyrule Kingdom. He slammed his fist, then smiled. But he now knew that Bobo the Goron was with her, and they were probably traveling to the Temple of Time as he thought. "Looks like they could use some inconveniences..." he chuckled as he watched the Goron walking through the fields.
~
The huge castle stood about ten miles away, only one day's length of travel. It was nearing night, and they had traveled plenty far that day, so Bobo decided to make camp. He set the ruby down and began gathering firewood. Five minutes later, Yaroko was sound asleep in her ruby prison. After five more minutes, Yaroko awoke from her nap and yawned. But then she froze with fear. For a shadow had fell over her ruby. She turned around to see who it was.
~
Not far away, Bobo was gathering firewood in a small hollow. He heard a female voice scream and immediately dropped his logs and sped through the hollow and into the fields to see what it was. When he finally reached camp, he was filled with wrath and shock at the same time.
An imp was holding the ruby!
Re: (Act/ZGen) Darunia's Flame [T]
~Chapter 11~
Bobo looked from the imp to Yaroko in the ruby, to his staff, laying by his sack. "OK, let the ruby down. Gently," warned the Goron.
Imp would not listen. He shook his head, made a demonic screeching sound, and threw a Deku Nut at the ground, blinding Bobo! When he came out of the flash, he was on the ground, with Imp standing on top of him! He giggled childishly, provoking Bobo. He quickly executed a sharp kick at the Imp, toppling him over! The warrior got up and grabbed his oak staff! Now he was ready for the fun to begin. Bobo charged at the Imp and thrust his staff into his right leg! A little blood sprayed on the grass, but Imp recovered quickly. Soon, he was on two feet and turned to face Bobo. Yaroko continued to scream for help, uncomfortable due to the Imp's vice grip on her ruby. The Imp gave a high-pitched moan of anger and then charged at the Goron. Bobo held out his staff swiftly, and Imp's face went right smack dab into it! The staff cut through his head, killing him forever. As Bobo discarded of the nuisance's corpse, he snatched a relieved Yaroko from the ground and put the ruby into his sack.
"These fields are not safe, Bubo," warned the fairy, "We must continue through the night until we reach the city Market. There, we can stay at the Inn." Bubo nodded in compliance to her plan. He then gathered his things and ran forward.
~Chapter 12~
The sun set and rain began to pour on Hyrule. This made Bobo only run faster towards his destination. Yaroko shivered inside her ruby at the suddenly cold climate. The grass was blowing and the leaves rustled on trees, overdrinking the water from the sky. The castle came closer and closer, until he was there! As soon as he stepped onto the stone ground of the Market, the drawbridge closed up.
~
Naxos pounded his fists into the stone table as he glared into his crystal ball. Bobo and Yaroko were safe once more, inside the gates of Hyrule Castle. There was nothing he could do for now. Naxoz turned to face the window once more. He looked out at the icy lands and glaciers. He could only control so many creatures that he was given power over. Naxos gritted his teeth.
That Imp might've been a fool, but Moblins weren't.
~
Bobo spotted an Inn amidst the heavy rain. All of the citizens were away. The Innkeeper looked up to see the damp Goron burst through the door. "I need a room...hurry..." he moaned wearily.
~Chapter 13~
Bobo stumbled into his room quickly and fell onto the bed and was immediately entranced with sleep. Yaroko cuddled up inside her ruby and began counting sheep as well. It had been a long day, and now the Temple of Time was closer to them than ever.
~
King Glacia opened the door violently. "Naxos!" he roared, making the mage turn around. "Yes, m'lord?"
"Don't give me that," the King spat, "I know what you've been doing behind my back.."
Naxos tried to play innocent. "Whatever do you mean? I would never do anything against you, m'lord."
King Glacia clenched his fists with anger. "My wife is dead, on the floor. And you caused it." He point an accusing finger at the sorcerer.
"Take another look at her corpse, o King. How do you know I killed her? Out of all the thousands of people in Glacia, how could I have killed her?" Naxos smiled evilly.
"Because..." the King looked away. "Her dying words were 'Naxos..please, no...'I heard her utter them as I stepped into my chamber."
With that, the King whipped around and pinned Naxos to the ground with his sword! Naxos was taken by surprise at the sudden attack, but managed to keep a level-head. As the sword crept up towards the mage's neck, Naxos was generating a fireball in his hand. King Naxos laughed as his sword thrusted through the air towards his foe's neck.
But Naxos was the one who laughed last.
Servants rushed into Naxos' room to see what the commotion was. Naxos put on a look of terror as he explained to them how King Glacia fell out the window and met a terrible death. Through all this, a corpse was lying under the bed.
~Chapter 14~
Bobo awoke the next day with a start. He looked out the window and saw Hyrule Market bustling with activity. Shops were now open, and people were going about their buisness. Bobo got up and left the Inn, into the bright sunlight. Yaroko finally woke up, yawning and stretching. "Ooooooohh....Is it morning already?" she asked. As Bobo was about to answer, a boy's voice rang out:
"That ruby just talked!"
Eyes immediately turned towards the Goron, making him nervous. Suddenly everything was quiet. "Er...You were just playing, right?" Bobo smiled sheepishly, "Kids these days. So imaginative!" With that, Bobo ran through the town towards the Castle. Conversation began to creep back into the Marketplace. Well away from earshot, Yaroko apologized: "I'm so sorry..That was close!"
Bobo shrugged it off. "It's okay, we just gotta hurry up and get to the Temple of Time."
~Chapter 15~
A few tourists and villagers were standing, watching the awesome presence of the Temple of Time. "Whoa.." said Yaroko, from inside her ruby. Bobo walked up the cobblestone steps to the front doors, opened them, and gasped. An emblem of the Triforce was hung on the wall, shining. The plaque where the three Spiritual Stones once were held was now gone, and blocked off by a wall. This made the Temple smaller, yet still magnificent. Yaroko almost forgot why she was here.
"Hold me up to the Triforce insignia, Bobo!"
~
Naxos watched as the corpse of King Glacia fell from his window towards the icy lake. A huge ice monster rose from the depths and consumed its new snack with a single bite. It then returned to its subzero waters. Naxos laughed and wiped his hands together. It was now time for the funeral, he thought, and he would be elected as the new King of Glacia.
~
The Goron did as he was told. Raising the ruby at the Triforce, the light was reflected and a huge beam of golden light shone between the jewel and the emblem! Everything got bright and Bobo couldn't see at all. There was a crashing sound and he could hear the sound of the ruby shattering into thousands of pieces. When the light went away, Bobo opened his eyes.
Re: (Act/ZGen) Darunia's Flame [T]
~Chapter 16~
"Whoa.." Bobo trailed off, looking in awe at the fairy in her tall, regular form. She wore her hair in a bun. Her hair was green, as was the rest of her body. A vine suit covered her body from shoulder to toe. Yaroko smiled: "Do I look okay?" Bobo eagerly nodded. A few moments passed as Bobo stared at her beauty until she snapped him out of it. "This was only half of our mission, remember?"
The Goron quickly recalled. "Oh..yeah, we have to..um..get that 'artifact', right?" Yaroko nodded. "And now I will show you what happened to me. The questions you still have will be answered." And with that, she shot a beam of light at Bobo, and he was warped to an endless space of light. There, Yaroko's memories shot into his mind...
~
Seven weeks earlier...
In the Realm of the Triforce, the three fairies, Nayru, Din, and Farore, were circled around the golden emblem that supported of Hyrule and much, much more. Something happened on this day. Something unusual. The triangular space in the middle of the three pieces became more..solid. It looked like a clear, blue, triangular block of ice. And out of the triangle came Yaroko. She fell flat on the stone platform with the three fairies. Farore panicked: "Wh-who are you?" Yaroko looked up and saw her. Yaroko's face was that of nervousness timidity. Nayru, being the kindest, took pity on the green fairy. "Excuse Farore..she isn't in the best of moods today...What is your name?"
Yaroko stuttered out the name she had heard the voice within her give her: "Y...yaroko.." Din was still suspicious. "What are you doing here? Where did you come from?"
Then the green fairy recited what the spirit of the Triforce had told her:
"I am the fourth fairy, Yaroko, and today you are created, along with the fourth piece of the Triforce: The Triforce of Mystery. You must protect it just as Nayru, Din, and Farore must protect theirs. Your journey begins today."
The three stood in shock. But what was even more shocking was when the triangular piece of ice shot out of the middle, into Yaroko's hands, and a force within the Triforce itself made her shoot out of the sky down to Glacia.
~Chapter 17~
Yaroko fell through the sky, ever-tumbling, watching the stars and clouds of night appear. The Realm of the Triforce disappeared above her and she fell through the sea of clouds. When she emerged, she kept on falling.
Falling..
Falling...
Falling....
~
Bobo was still floating in stasis, as the memories swept in like a flood. Yaroko was in the Temple of Time, also floating, giving away her memories like a storybook. But neither of them realized what was going on in the outside world, at this very moment.
~
In Glacia, the funeral procession began. Ten wizards lined up at the front of the chamber, clothed in their blue robes, as the coffin representing King Glacia's unfound corpse was being carried by two Maidens. They reached the end with the wizards, and laid down the coffin. The pit opened in the floor, and the coffin fell to the rushing river below the castle and was swept away. The leader of the wizards, Frost, stood up at the podium. "I am your new leader, people of Glacia. I will rule you all to the best of my ability." The King Frost backed away from the podium and the audience cheered at their new leader. Naxos beamed evilly. He might've been the lowest rank of the Wizards, but he had an intricate plan in the works.
~
In Bobo's mind, he heard and saw Yaroko crash into the snow at the Northern country of Glacia, seven weeks ago. Yaroko stood up, spitting up snow and coughing. Many questions hit Yaroko. But all she knew was that she had to protect the Triforce of Mystery, which was now in her trembling hands.
Naxos and five hunters wearing bearskin armor marched through the snow, on a hunt for meat. But Naxos halted them. He could see a young woman standing out in the cold, with a triangular piece of ice...
~Chapter 18~
Naxos ran ahead of the group and right up smack dab in front of the fairy. "M’lady, you look lost. Do you even know where this is?" he asked. Yaroko shivered. "Yes....Glacia..." Naxos noticed the triangular piece of ice in her hands.
"A lady of your stature shouldn't be carrying something so heavy....What--" he trailed off as he saw the ice glowing a golden radiance. It was the most magnificent light Naxos had ever seen in his entire life. Then he realized that it was what he was searching for ever since he could walk.
"The Triforce of Mystery!" the SnowZora exclaimed, seizing the block of ice. But as soon as he took the piece, it immediately dimmed. Yaroko, panicking, flew off on her wings, staggering through the icy winds. She wasn't prepared for anything at all yet. "F--arore's w-ind..."
Naxos noticed that he was now holding a block of ice. A worthless block of ice that would only be the fourth piece if it was near Yaroko. He looked up, fired a spell, and there was a blast of light. The next thing she knew, she was encased inside a ruby..
~
Bobo appeared in the Temple of Time, back in the present, along with Yaroko. Bobo opened his eyes, finally able to walk around. After a few minutes of re-adjustment, he remembered Yaroko. "I understand everything now.." he said. The fairy stretched her long arms, glad to be back and moving, "You’re the fourth fairy, and we must both go to Glacia to retrieve the fourth piece." Yaroko nodded. Without a word, the two filed out into the Courtyard. When they were there, they realized that no time at all had passed, even though it felt like hours. Bobo and Yaroko joined hands, and she, with a very determined voice, said:
"Farore's Wind!"
A flurry of green sparks consumed them both.
~Chapter 19~
A blast of cold met Bobo and Yaroko the second they hit Glacia. Bobo shivered. How were they supposed to travel like this? he thought to himself. His question was answered when two fur coats appeared at the wave of Yaroko's hand. Bobo quickly put one on and became much warmer and much more comfortable. Then, the two were off.
~
Naxos looked at his crystal ball, contacting his two Moblins. "Sire, we're in Hyrule Field at this moment," one of them said. Naxos rolled his eyes. "Come back to Glacia at once. I'm in need of your services." They nodded their heads. "Now, if you excuse me, I must be going to a dinner," said Naxos, who left his room and went downstairs.
~
After a few hours, a weary Goron and fairy spotted a cave and quickly rushed inside. They felt as if their legs might fall off at any second. As soon as they lay on the ground, sleep overcame them.
~Chapter 20~
"Give me my wine, Naxos.." said King Frost. Everyone was seated around a hard, oakwood table. All ten wizards sat there, with Naxos at the opposite end of the King. He slid down the goblet to King Frost. "Drink up." he said calmly, with a grin on his face...
It was always a ritual for the tenth wizard to pass the goblet to the first. As soon as King Frost's lips touched the cup, he fell down, dead! Wizard Admin Tuskfang, number nine of the ten, immediately got up and seized the goblet from the deceased man, hand. He went over and poured the liquid out into a plant. The plant shriveled up and died, confirming his worst fears.
"He has been poisoned!" shouted Tuskfang. Everyone looked at Naxos. He simply chuckled evilly, then released two orbs of ice at Wizard Beginners 1 and 2!
~Chapter 21~
Bobo was the first to wake the cold, cold morning the next day in the cave. As soon as he began to yawn, all those horrible feelings you get when you first wake up came flooding back to him. About the task ahead, about traveling, about the dangers of his life, and such. These made him wrap his fur coat heavily around his body and seize his staff from the snowy ground. He tapped Yaroko on the shoulder gently, who then awoke, stretched, got her fur coat, and was now ready for the day's journey. "So..how much farther do you estimate 'til we get to Glacia Castle?" he asked. Yaroko squinted, remembering back to her navigation skills she was endowed with during her creation.
"Umm...I sense about only two days' worth. We should travel as much as we can today right now if we want to get a good nights' sleep. And for breakfast.." at this, she conjured up two slabs of cooked wolf meat in her hands. The two feasted for awhile, then were off, out of the cave and into the icy land.
~
Wizards 1 and 2 fell to the ground and shattered to pieces like statues. Naxos sneered. The orbs had met their mark. Wizards 3 through Admin Windgale(8) went into attack position as quick as they could! 5 and 3 were instantly destroyed, however, before two fire orbs. 6 cast a transparency charm on himself, rendering him invisible from the naked eye. Tuskfang jumped high into the air, summoning a powerful spell. 4's life was cut short by Naxos' first doublesword. His other doublesword decapitated 7! Windgale puffed his cheeks and blew with such a force that slammed Naxos into the wall. He quickly recovered, however, and got an idea.
"Sandstorm!" he shouted, and sand swept through the chamber, covering the floor. He had a plan to destroy number 6.
Re: (Act/ZGen) Darunia's Flame [T]
~Chapter 22~
Staggering through the snow, Bobo could see, very far away, what looked like a huge ice mountain. It loomed above the other snowy hills, like a giant spire. Yaroko was hovering above the ground, trying as hard as she could to press onward. She had grown considerably stronger after traveling with Bobo. Feeling pulsed through her legs and her wings, making her go faster than ever! Bobo had to run to keep up. This process ran on for about an hour into noon. They finally, after traveling for hours, were closer to the huge ice mountain. There were about seven different caves scattered around inside snow mounds. They picked the most out-of-the-way one to sleep in for the night.
~
Tuskfang leaped down, shooting crystals of ice at Naxos! He dodged them in mid-air as they slammed against the wall. The sand that filled the chamber covered the ground all over. But it also did something else. Naxos could see 6's footsteps! Naxos shot two ice orbs at where the footprints were, and they met their target. 6 became visible and fell down to the ground, dead. Windgale and Tuskfang now approached Naxos, ready to destroy him. Just then, Naxos's two Moblins appeared and decapitated each of them! Naxos laughed. "Thank you, boys."
~Chapter 23~
Bobo couldn't sleep at all that night. He tossed and turned, shivering. Yaroko was sound asleep. This made him angrier. He finally couldn't take it anymore and got up. He walked out with his staff and trudged through the snow. The icy winds buffeted him but to no avail, he kept on going. Hours passed as Bobo walked past the snowy hills and gasped. Right in front of him was a huge stone castle! Bobo staggered towards it. He couldn't believe his eyes. He was already close to his destination! But there was one little thing hindering him: An icy lake.
~Chapter 24~
Naxos put on a false look of despair as the guards of Glacia burst in. "What in Nayru's name has gone on in here?" one of them asked. "A-a GHOST...attacked us...G-g-" Naxos stuttered. "Don't worry, Master Naxos, we'll escort you to your room." Another two guards helped up the deceiving man. When he was gone, the guards inspected the room solemnly. Windgale, Tuskfang, former King Frost, and 6 other Wizards lay scattered in pools of blood on the ground. After a few seconds, one of them spoke: "Do you know what this means?" The other nodded no. "It means that Naxos is now King.."
~
Bobo was frozen with awe at the towering castle. Wait until he told Yaroko! he thought to himself. "--Yaroko!" he gasped, remembering his partner still asleep in the cave. As he scrambled up with his oak staff to leave, there was a rumbling from deep in the lake. Seconds later, a huge ice monster emerged from the waters!
"King Glacia sure did taste good, and maybe a plump Goron would taste better..heh heh heh.." he laughed aloud in a deep, raspy voice.
~Chapter 25~
No-one ever knew if it was destiny or just fulfilled rest that made Yaroko wake up at the same instant that the ice monster spoke those words. She rubbed her eyes and stretched. "B-bobo..." She looked back, but no Bobo. "He must've goner out to scout the land," she thought aloud. With that, she left the cave.
~
The ice behemoth had a triceratops-like head, fierce blue eyes, and rows of sharp teeth. His body was that of a huge, icy snake. Bobo crawled backwards slowly while still facing him. "W-what are..you?" he stuttered. Getting to his wobbly feet, Bobo unsheathed his oakwood staff. Suddenly, something flowed through his body. Something he had never felt before. Images of his ancestor, the Sage of Fire, came flooding back to him..Darunia was standing amidst a pit of fire, calling to his descendant, Bobo. "Feel the Flame..The Power of the Medallion of Fire pulsing through your soul. Use it. Use it to overcome your trials."
With that, Bobo opened his eyes and the vision was gone. His legs stopped wobbling. He aimed his staff at the ice dragon's head and said: "Darunia's Flame!" A fireball popped out the front of the staff and flew into his head! The monster screeched in pain.
~Chapter 26~
With a huge splash, the ice dragon retreated to the lake, away from Bobo. Just then, Yaroko flew next to him. The two stared at the castle. Bobo then explained what had happened. Yaroko decided that they needed to sneak in.
~
Far away on the other side of the lake, in the castle, the shocked and confused citizens of Glacia were congregated in the ceremony room. Nine coffins bearing the bodies of the nine wizards were brought to the front of the chamber and dropped into the same icy river. Naxos stepped forward, now King of Glacia. "I am so sorry to demand leadership over you all, considering all the horrible events that have occurred recently. I will do my best to maintain order in this land of ours," he announced. He stepped back, and an unsure applause preceded. He smiled to himself.
~Chapter 27~
When the two travelers finally made their way to the castle doors, they found that they were locked. "Great...Now what?" moaned Yaroko. She was returning to her unsure self again. But Bobo had an idea. "OK...I have a plan, and it might just work," he announced, "and we need first for you to create some protective forcefields for us." Yaroko rose an eyebrow, but obeyed. With the wave of her hand, she and Bobo were surrounded by two forcefields of red light. "We're going to dive into the lake, swim through the underground tunnel, and get into the sewage chamber!" Exclaimed the Goron.
Yaroko looked at him like he was a maniac. "Nooooo way! I am not crawling through those dirty sewer pipes with my beautiful wings.."
~
King Naxos returned to his room up on the highest floor. He gave out a deep sigh. Today had been a long day for him. Becoming King was not easy work, you know. He yawned and was about to drift to sleep in his bed when he shot up, quick.
The Triforce of Mystery..
The Fairy..
The Ruby..
The Innkeeper..
The Fake Letter he wrote..
Hyrule..
The Market..
Death Mountain..
Gorons..
Bobo!
Naxos was sweaty and afraid. How could he forget about it? He had been too wrapped up in overthrowing the wizards and the King to think about that mysterious fairy, and the Goron, Bobo..
~Chapter 28~
"Uggh..I can't believe you talked me into this," said Yaroko. Bobo had persuaded her to travel through the sewer channel with him. "At least the forcefields are keeping most of the mud off," chimed the Goron. "Shut up and swim," she replied angrily. He laughed to himself as they continued through the dirty waters. In a few minutes, they came to a hatch. The forcefields disappeared and a foul odor crept into the travelers' nostrils. Bobo emerged from the water and lifted the hatch up. A beam of light poured on their dirty faces. Bobo boosted himself through the hatch and into the storage room. Yaroko followed suit.
"Phew! Glad to be out of that pukehole.." she muttered. The two got to their feet and looked around. They saw a flight of stairs going up to the next floor. "Going up," Bobo said with a smile.
~Chapter 29~
Naxos sliced a golden treasure chest in half with his steel sword. Sparks flew, and the Triforce of Mystery soared out of the wreckage and into Naxos' hands. He smiled and chuckled. No other sword could've opened that chest except for his. All of Naxos' inventions were linked to one another, so only he could use them. The King walked downstairs to the ceremony hall and placed the Triforce piece right on a cushion in the middle of the podium.
In a few seconds, curiosity bubbled from onlookers and they formed a circle around their King and the strange piece of ice. He turned to all of them and said in a confident tone:
"This..is the Triforce of Mystery." Gasps emitted from the hubbub. "It is the legendary Fourth Piece. But someone is going to try and steal it tonight, and we must stop him."
The citizens of Glacia hoorayed their leader, siding with him one-hundred percent. Every child and every old woman that was a SnowZora decided to help. To defend their King's treasure. To stop these "thieves". They were poisoned against anyone other than their leader. Even the Spirit of the Triforce itself.
~Chapter 30~
Bobo and Yaroko climbed through the staircases, on and on, until they finally reached a closet. They exited the closet and found themselves in the lobby of the castle. The strange thing was that..it was deserted. "..Weird..Where is everyone," wondered Bobo. They continued up, up, up..
Soon they were to the ceremony room, where Yaroko gasped: The Triforce of Mystery was lying in the center of the room on a cushion! The fairy began flying towards the relic at full speed. When she was halfway there, a fire orb knocked her out of the air. Bobo saw that the one who had shot the projectile was none other than Naxos, the man he had seen from Yaroko's memories!
"Hello, dear Yaroko," he said in mock sympathy as he approached a weak Yaroko, another fire orb in his hand. "It's time you got back into your ruby and stayed next to the Triforce piece.." He gave a sinister laugh as he swung the orb into her. There was an ear-splitting sound and then a flash of light. When Bobo looked up, Yaroko was again encased in a ruby.
Re: (Act/ZGen) Darunia's Flame [T]
Hey, a fourth piece of the Triforce...well I suppose something had to go in the middle. Bobo facinates me and Yaroko doesn't seem to be able to catch a break... I still want to know how it all ends... queue the fight scene!
Re: (Act/ZGen) Darunia's Flame [T]
~Chapter 31~
Suddenly a great rage built up inside Bobo. He rushed forward with all his might and delivered a large blow to Naxos' head with his staff. The SnowZora toppled over, but soon the Goron was on the floor as well: A female Zora from behind had hit him on the back of his head! Two other male Zoras took this time to slam Bobo repeatedly on the back with their fists.
"Darunia's Flame!"
Bobo got up, held out his staff and shot several fireballs at the attacking citizens. Yaroko, oblivious to all around her, broke down in the middle of the ruby. Sobbing about her short life. She would never get to return to the Triforce. She would never be able to complete the mission. And she would never be able to tell Bobo how she felt about him. Just then, she snapped back into reality and was amazed as she saw Naxos and Bobo duke it out just a few inches in front of her.
Two large ice orbs formed in the sorcerer's hands. Bobo got ready with his staff. Just then, the two Moblins under Naxos' control loomed up behind Bobo with their axes. Yaroko screamed at the top of their lungs, tears flowing down her cheeks.
She wouldn't be able to save Bobo....
She had to save Bobo....
Quicker then she ever knew, she felt herself standing tall at regular height. She saw no more ruby walls.
She was free!
"Din's Fire!" she shouted, cupping her hands together. A huge fireball formed in her hands. She shot it out towards Bobo and the two Moblins. In mid-air, it split into two fireballs and hit each Moblin, engulfing them in flames!
~Chapter 32~
Naxos stared blankly. Bobo and Yaroko were turned towards him, ready to finish the sorcerer off. "H-how did you do tha--"
"By pure love," interrupted Yaroko. Bobo thrust his staff towards Naxos and fired several fireballs at him, blasting him across the room. The villain, now a flaming blur, hit the far wall and fell down, burning to smithereens. In a few seconds, he was but a pile of ashes on the floor. Yaroko smiled and flew forwards, up to the podium, and grabbed the Triforce of Mystery greedily. "We're reunited at last," exclaimed the fairy. Bobo sighed. The battle was over. He had killed Naxos and fulfilled his mission.
Several SnowZoras emerged from under pews, bearing swords and shields. They ran towards Bobo, but stopped dead when they laid their eyes on Yaroko, holding the Triforce piece.
"Get her!" they shouted. Just then, a blue light from outside the castle appeared in front of the windows. It grew bigger and bigger, destroying the windows. The light, now the size of an elephant, made its way inside. It came to a halt in front of Yaroko. The light "opened up" part of itself, revealing what looked like a chamber inside of it. Standing in the chamber, all lined up in a row, were Din, Nayru, Farore, and the Triforce.
"Well done," said Din.
~Chapter 33~
The Triforce of Mystery floated from Yaroko's hands and into the middle of the Triforce. It dissipated into energy. "Come with us back to the Realm," offered Farore. Nayru held out her hand. Yaroko looked from Bobo and the castle to the chamber with the three fairies. "Wait," she said. With that, the fairy ran up to Bobo..
And kissed him.
It only lasted for a few seconds, but Bobo would never forget it. Yaroko walked slowly away and into the light. The chamber shrank and the light flew away, into the sky..
Bobo stood there, lost for words, as he saw the light fade away.
~Chapter 34~
Seconds later, Bobo was warped from the castle way up in the Northerlands down to Death Mountain. He appeared in a wave of red sparks at the area with the entrance to Goron City just feet away. He turned and walked slowly towards the door.
Yaroko, Din, Nayru, and Farore were all in a circle around the Triforce. They shot light at the golden symbol of life. It glowed with a golden radiance that covered the whole Realm. After it subsided, a voice spoke. It was the Voice of the Triforce:
"Yaroko. Go down to Hyrule. It is where you belong."
She nodded. A hole appeared in the glass floor of the realm. She floated down slowly through the hole, the Realm fading away. As she descended, the Voice echoed through the clouds:
"You must go to the one you love.."
~20 years later~
A boy, around the age of ten, starved and clothed in rags, staggered up the rough pathway of Death Mountain. When he reached a flat area, he took a deep breath and decided to take a break. He hadn't eaten in days and he had nowhere to go. His village was reduced to ashes by Moblins. His family had been slaughtered. Just then, the boy's thoughts were interrupted by an elderly Goron that paced up slowly towards him.
"Wh-who are you?" the boy asked.
The Goron's lips were frail and old, but they bore a heavy, ancient voice:
"You may call me Coal. Though most have forgotten my name, they all call me the Hermit of Goron City."
The boy sat, afraid. Coal continued: "Here. Come with me to Goron City. You look hungry.."
The boy took Coal's hand and the two began walking. "Where are your parents?" the elderly Goron asked.
"They d-died..Moblins attacked my village.." the boy stuttered out.
Coal showed deep sympathy for the poor boy. "I'm terribly sorry. But don't worry about that anymore."
The boy was confused. "Don't worry, young one, the Gorons will take care of you. We are the nicest race of all in Hyrule. And we have the nicest and most caring King and Queen of all in our humble city."
The boy, now overcoming his shyness, was happy to have found a friend in Coal. "Who are they? What are the names of this King and Queen?"
Coal simply smiled and said:
"King Bobo Fastrock and Queen Yaroko."
THE END
