The Lewrorian Legacy
Prologue
It was just a normal Saturday in my hometown until…“Yeah! Get him! Kill Gannon!” screamed my best friend Kai.

By the way my nickname is Lloyd, and I’ve always had the knack for beating The Legend of Zelda games. Right now I’m finishing up a brand new game on Ocarina of Time, and it’s only ten o’clock in the morning. I woke up at seven o’clock, played around until eight thirty when I called Kai to ask him to come over, I demolished him at Super Smash Brothers Melee, and I’ve been playing with cheers from Kai since nine thirty.

I was reaching down to depress the power button on the Gamecube, when a bright light erupted from the T.V. as I felt like I was falling I heard Kai yell out, “WHAT!” As I looked down at my feet I saw a large spacious plain below me. It’s Hyrule! I remember thinking before blacking out.

Yeah I know it's kinda short but hey it's just the Prologue...
I've got 17 more chapters to post...I just didn't want to post them all at once...

This chapter is pretty long. It reveals a bit of my past...

Chapter One
The Painful Transformation

As I struggled to return to the waking world I heard voices around me.

As I opened my eyes I saw two people looking at me. I yelped in shock and they jumped back. One was a boy whose name was Link; the other was a girl whose name was Zelda. “Tanei Qai Jouuni, Hia?” Link asked. I couldn’t tell what he was saying although I could tell he wanted some kind of answer. I raised my eyebrow. Zelda gave Link a look that clearly said, of course. Zelda and Link muttered an incantation and afterwards I could understand them and visa versa.

It was then I saw my clothes hanging up on the wall. I hurriedly looked around for a blanket and found one lying at my feet. I pulled it up quickly but Zelda noticed and said, “Um…it’s a bit late for that now…I’ve already seen everything…”

As it dawned on me that it was true my face quickly became flushed w/ embarrassment. “As I was healing you I noticed two marks between your shoulder blades…what are they?” Zelda asked. “I was told that they were my birthmark…” I replied. “Hmm…they look like…no…it couldn’t be…” Zelda whispered to herself.

“I’m sorry…what?”

Well…oh all right…“Do you know about the Lewrorian?” Zelda asked. Link stared at Zelda in shock, mouth open…

“…No…why?”

“Well…alright here is the legend…”

Long ago, Lewrorea was a bountiful land where everything was perfect. The Lewrorians had evolved so far that they each had unique animalistic abilities. However the Lewrorian were prideful, unable to accept the fact that some people were better than them. They even thought they were better than the gods. The gods stood up with the Lewrorians taunts…for a while anyway…after a while the gods could take it no longer. The gods cursed the Lewrorians to be constantly attacked every full moon by all the powerful creatures. The Lewrorians now knew that they weren’t the best…so they pleaded with the gods to spare their pitiful lives. But the gods turned their backs on the Lewrorians pleas.

The Lewrorian knew they were doomed so they tried to find a way to save at least one of their kind. They researched about wormholes hoping to be able to send a person to another dimension to spare their life. Finally after two months the research came through for them and they were able to create a wormhole through which they sent not one, but two people.

The wormhole was to bring the two people back when the came of age to use their powers. For the Lewrorians abilities did not show until they approached the age of twelve. Even then it is nothing more than a mere shadow of their powers for the true strength was not to come till the person grew their animalistic features, like a tail, fur, and sharpened senses for a Lewrorian with feline abilities.

“I think that you are one of the two Lewrorians…” Zelda finished.

I sat there in shock for a while before I realized I was still naked. “Umm…Link? You don’t happen to have an extra tunic lying around do you?” I asked him. “Uh…sure I’ll be right back.” Link replied as he ran out the door. Link hurried in a few minutes later. “I’ve…got…the…tunic…” Link gasped as he tried to catch his breath. “Umm…Zelda? If you please?” Link said.
“Oh! Sorry!” Zelda replied as she turned around.

“Now…get this on.” He said as he handed me a pair of tights, “Okay, now this.” He handed me the shirt, “The belt next. Okay, the cap, and just to be on the safe side, this.” He handed me a sword and shield. “Okay Zelda you can turn around now.” Link said. When Zelda turned around her eyes widened in shock. Wow…he looks fabulous!

“Thanks!” I replied.

What?! You can read minds?!

“Yep…”

For how long have you been reading minds?

“For a month now.”

…Uh…you aren’t reading everything I’ve ever felt or thought are you?

“No…I’m not a jerk.”

Okay…good.

“Uh…what’s happening? I’m only getting half of a conversation!?” Link said exasperatedly.

“Link…stay out of it!" Zelda and I said in unison.

“Uh…okay.” Link said as he quailed under our fury.

I wonder what happened to the other Lewrorian? Zelda thought. “Yeah…I was wondering that too.” I replied. “Well…I’m going to go give myself a tour of the castle okay?”

“Okay but take this pass otherwise you’ll be thrown out.” Zelda said. I took the pass and walked out the door. Everything was going just fine until I tripped on the stairs. “YIPE!” I yelped as I fell. I saw Zelda and Link rush to the stairs as I started to fall.

I hit the bottom after falling for a couple minutes. When I got up I discovered that I had a pounding headache. It was just my luck that a spell book was nearby. I hobbled to it and discovered to my horror that it was written in Hyruian. However I discovered that I could read it just fine.

I looked up healing spells in the index and found several variations. I chose the one that read, ‘Simple Healing’. However I also saw a spell that read, ‘Shape Shifting for Desperate People’. I looked up both spells and discovered that they were on opposite sides of a page. I healed my body with this incantation, “Asagiru na resi suru.” I looked up the shape-shifting spell. Wow…this is one tough spell. I thought to myself. Ah well…if I want to fit in better I’d better do it. “Hapi fucokesu cocoke fuinto, idea dice.”

The gods then appeared before me. Who has called us? “Uh, I did.” Then what do you want to change? Your ears, perhaps? “Yes…and my hair color and eye color…” What color? “Um…an azure color for my hair and almost colorless eyes with a hint of purple.” It will be done tonight… the gods then disappeared.

By that time Link and Zelda had gotten down the stairs. What happened? I pointed at the book. Zelda looked at the book. Oh…but…no ones done that spell in years! What’d you change? I griped my hair, pointed at my eye, and showed them my ears. Oh! I never knew that! Well…if you really did do that spell you’d better hurry of to bed.

“Okay, but where will you sleep?”

On the floor of course!

“But…”

YOU WILL DO WHAT I SAY!

“Alright! Just don’t hit me!” I said as I ran back up the tower. I hopped into the bed and fell asleep almost at once.

I had the weirdest dream that night, about all the gods and goddesses surrounding me as beams of bright crackling energy. Suddenly all the beams touched me at once and I was in excruciating pain. I writhed and shrieked in pain desperately trying to get away from the beams. The pain left as suddenly as it had come leaving me twitching in agony.

I woke up the next morning to find Zelda holding me tight to her. I smiled, relieved, left her a note and…looking around for a moment…kissed her on the cheek. As I walked down to breakfast I passed a full-length mirror. I found that I had indeed received the results I wanted from the gods. Long spiked azure hair, almost colorless eyes, and, to my surprise, hylian ears. I continued to walk down to breakfast.

Chapter Two
The Pleasant Surprise

Link was sitting at the table eating his breakfast of pancakes, eggs, and sausage.

“Hi!” I said.

“Uh…do I know you?” Link asked.

“You should…”

Uh…could it be the same kid?

“Yep that’s me!”

Uh huh…definetly him.

I nodded. I then sat down and looked at all the stuff I could eat. There was; pancakes, waffles, sunny side-up eggs, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, cereal, and some…mints?

I piled everything except the mints onto my plate and quickly eat at top speed. Link just gaped open-mouthed as he watched me eat. He soon realized that he still had food in front of him.

“Wow…you eat faster than Link and that’s saying something.” Zelda said as she came down.

A sort of grunting noise came from Link’s mouth in protest.

“Well…when is your next birthday?”

“Today…” and then I realized that today was my twelfth birthday, “Uh oh…today…my twelfth birthday…”

“I got to run…” I said to them, “Be back in a bit…”

I ran out of the castle to the courtyard and hurriedly undressed to just the tights. I was lucky that I did it right then because, I sprouted huge wings, grew claws, was able to breath fire, and received magic.

I ran inside trying to get the wings to fold and the tunic to get back on. “Um…a little help here?” I asked them desperately. “Oh! Your animalistic abilities grew didn’t they?!” Zelda said.

I nodded. “Well…still…HELP!” They rushed over; Zelda trying to help me fold my wings, Link trying to help me get my tunic on. Finally, it got on after a combined effort of: the cooks, the maids, the butlers, Link, and Zelda.

“Well…that was invigorating.” Link said, “Hey…um…what’s your name?”

“My nickname is Lloyd.”

“Lloyd, good name.”

“Well…actually Link you should call him by his Lewrorian name out of respect.” Zelda said.

“Okay…but what is his Lewrorian name?”

“Only Lloyd knows the answer to that question.”

“What?!” I asked.

“Yeah…that’s right only you know.”

“How?”

“Search your memory…you have dragon abilities and dragons can recall almost anything from their memory.” Zelda said. Search your mind… I did search my mind, searching thru a gaggle of forgotten memories.

“Believe it or not...Link...it was your name.”

“What!?” Link said.

"Wait..." I said, "Not...Link...but, Lin Kay..."

"Wow..." gasped Link and Zelda.
