Super Smash Brothers: All-Out Battle!

Hi. This is my first SSB fanfic (and maybe the only one)

I got the idea when I read some of the SSB fanfics on the Internet. I got the idea to try my hands on it Wednesday, but I didn't have enough time to post it (which explains why it's long), so I put the finishing touches on it. Hope you like it.
************************************************** ***************
In the depths of time, there was nothing. Not a single thing to live in.

Then, just like that, an epic explosion ripped across the nothingness. It was an amazing sight to see, and when it was done, there was a new universe with billions of galaxies located across it. In each galaxy, there was a lot of stars in it. Each star had planets orbiting it, but few supported life.

This is how the Nintendoverse started.

There was also a gloved hand in a different dimension whose job it was to watch the heroes of each world go on quests. It was a boring life, as he kept watching the same stuff. For instance, he saw Mario save Princess Peach and the Mushroom Kingdom from Bowser. He also saw Links (he knew there were different Links for each adventure except for some of them) save Hyrule from unnamed evil.

He was basically sick with it, no questions asked.

"I'm sick of this life," he said one day to his brother, who was also a gloved hand.

"Master Hand," his brother said calmly, "if life sucks for you, then why don't you hold another tournament?"

"Crazy Hand," Master Hand said, "I've ran out of ideas on the last tournament. Besides, they should have a while to rest, especially after saving the universe from Tabuu and his minions,"

He remembered that day. He had been injured by Tabuu, who had taken over their dimension to claim the Nintendoverse for his own selfish purposes. The fighters he had invited to the tournament had gotten tangled up in the plot, and they eventually defeated Tabuu.

The problem remained: What could Master Hand do for the next tournament?

"Easy, invite a lot of competitors," Crazy said when Master brought the problem up, "We'll deal with the details while we go along,"

"Okay," Master said agreeingly, "How does... sixteen fighters sound?"

"Naw, too little,"

"A hundred twenty-eight?"

Crazy thought that was too many.

"Sixty-four?" Master tried, sounding desperate.

"That works," Crazy replied.

"Sixty-four it is. Now, who should I invite?"

That bit took three days to work, but the results were good: invite all fighters who took part in any of the tournaments and invite new people to the fight.

When that was all done, they waited a few days before they warped the fighters to the mansion the hands selected.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Link!" a voice boomed.

"Yes?" Link said, snapping out of a daydream.

Ever since he saved Hyrule from Vaati and the forces of evil, he got bored with his old life. He was tired of making swords. He wanted to go on another adventure, but no opportunities arose.

He also missed Ezlo being on his head. He had so much to say along their adventure, although Link thought he was a bit annoying. He was tired of not hearing Ezlo warn him about things.

He was tired of missing things so much.

His solution was simple: he daydreamed bizarre things for times when he got bored.

The daydream he had showed him a weird place. He was in front of a castle in the air, holding the Picori Blade in his left hand and the shield Zelda gave him one time in his right. He also had Ezlo on his head. The enemy he was fighting was a metallic creature that looked as if it had seen many battles.

That was as far as he got before he snapped out of it.

"Here," his grandpa said, holding a letter in front of Link.

Link grabbed it and opened it up. He pulled out a letter that looked like it was majestic. It had a black border around the text, and the letters were the color of pure gold.

It read: "Dear MC Link,
You are invited to the next Super Smash Brothers tournament as an contestant. You will meet many opponents who will test both your strength and your loyalty. If you accept this challenge, you will be teleported to the Smash Mansion, which is located on a planet called Earth.
Signed, MH
P.S.: Look in the envelope.
"

Who was "MH"? Link thought.

He chose to follow the instructions located at the "P.S.:" part of the letter.

A flash of light appeared as he opened the letter to look. When it passed, he had the Picori Blade and a shield on his back, and he had a hat on his.

"Huh? What happened?" the hat said.

Link thought that the hat sounded familiar.

"Ezlo?" Link said, surprised.

"Yes?" the hat named Ezlo said as it looked down at Link's face.

A pause followed.

"Link?" he said after a while.

"What happened?" Link asked.

"One minute, I was teaching a Picori about how to mend boots, and the next minute I wind up here as a hat. Not bad for an interesting day, you know?"

Link thought that Ezlo was being sarcastic.

"What's going on?" Ezlo asked.

Link showed him the letter, a feat that could only be accomplished by putting Ezlo on the floor and laying the paper in front of him.

"Ah," Ezlo said as he finished reading it.

Link put him back on top of his head and grabbed the letter.

"Now what?" Ezlo asked.

Link was going to say, "I don't know," but was cut off by a blinding light. When the light cleared, they were standing in front of a big building. They realized that it was daylight outside.

The building itself was about three stories high and was surrounded by fences. It was black all over except for the door, which was white with a metal doorknob.

Link saw some creatures coming towards the house.

"Hey!" Link called to them as loud as he could, "Where are we?"

The creatures acted like they didn't hear him.

"You hear that?" one of them said in a male voice.

"Nope," another one said in a female voice.

"Just the wind," another boy said.

Link watched as the creatures walked off.

"Why didn't they hear us?" he asked Ezlo.

"I don't know," was all Ezlo had to say about it.

They turned their attention to the building they landed in front of.

"Do we go in?" Link asked.

"Might as well," Ezlo replied.

Link approached the door carefully and gripped the handle. He opened it slowly just in case and was nearly hit by a hammer.

"Whoa!" he cried as he backed away from the hammer.

The door opened wider, revealing a pink creature in a pink and white dress and pink boots. It had gloves on its hands, and it was holding a rather large hammer.

"Sorry about that," it said in a feminine voice.

Ezlo was ready to yell at her for not watching where she was swinging the weapon, but before he could, Link said, "None taken. Mind if I come in?"

"Are you a fighter?" she asked.

Link showed her the letter he still had in his hand.

"Come on in," she said.

Link entered the building. He could see that there were two sets of stairs leading to more floors. In front of him, he could see another white door. As the two of them walked to it, the creature introduced herself as Amy.

"I'm Link, and this is Ezlo," Link replied.

"Nice to meet you two," Amy replied.

They reached the door. Link opened it and let Amy walk through before he followed.

He was stunned by what he saw. He saw a mass of people sitting in chairs looking at him. There were too many to describe accurately or count accurately for that matter. He looked in front of him and saw two gloved hands in front of the crowd.

"Welcome, Minish Cap Link," one of them said in his direction.

"Please, take a seat," the hand next to the speaker said calmly.

Link reached for a random empty chair and sat in it.

"Now, to begin," the speaker said, "I am Master Hand, and this is my brother, Crazy Hand. We have invited all of you for one reason: to compete in the next Super Smash Brothers tournament. You, the fighters, will compete for glory as well as making a name for yourself and making new friends. We strongly urge making friends. You'll feel a lot better when you do. Now, the Smash Mansion works like this: the first floor is for the tournament. When it's your turn, report here. You and your opponent will be ported to the battlefield, which will be randomly selected. More details on that when it's your turn.

"The second floor is for the living quarters. Contestants will live here until the end of the tournament. If you lose, you will still be staying here. You will not be competing anymore, though. There are sixteen rooms, so you will be shacked up with three others.

"The third floor is devoted to the training ground. If you want to train before competing, go there with an opponent. This is ideal for the new fighters, as they will learn how to fight there.

"The list of fighters is posted on the walls next to the stairs. The tournament will start tomorrow, so this gives you half a day to train if you need it. See you tomorrow."

Everybody got up and left except for some people who were stopped by Crazy Hand to be explained what their names were. Link was dubbed "MC Link".

"Hey there, Link," Amy said as he walked out of there.

"Hey there," he replied.

"Want to shack up with me?" she asked.

"Sure,"

"Great. Follow me," She walked to the stairs and stopped. She turned around to face Link.

"Coming?" she asked.

"Oh," he said as he ran up to her.

They went up the stairs on their right, turned right, and started heading to their room. Along the way, Link decided to check the list for his opponent. He found it as Number 32. It read: “32. MC Link vs R.O.B.”

R.O.B.? Link thought, Who’s he?

“Look at Number 10 on the list,” Amy said next to him.

He looked up the list and found Entry Number 10, which read: “10. Slippy vs Amy”

“Who’s Slippy?” he asked a while later.

Amy looked at a clock that was above the list. It read: “1:27 p.m.,”

“Come on, let’s get moving, Link” she said, grabbing Link by the arm.

“Where are we going?” Link asked.

“Right…”

They stopped in front of a room with the number, “9” above the doorframe.

“…here,” Amy finished as they stopped. The door was closed, and a weird figure was in front of it. It looked like something with metal as skin and yellow paint all over it.

“Name?” the thing asked in a metallic voice.

“Amy,” she answered quickly.

“Name?” the thing asked again, this time to Link.

“Me?” he asked, “Apparently, I’m MC Link…”

“Is he your roommate?” the thing asked Amy.

“Yes,” she replied.

Link noticed that the thing had a piece of paper on a piece of wood, which he wrote on with a wooden stick.

“MC Link…” it muttered, then to the two of them, said, “Welcome to your room,”

The two of them watched as the thing walked off towards the stairs they had came from.

“What was that?” Link asked.

“That?” Amy replied, “Oh, that’s a sort of robot,”

“What’s an r-o…?” Link asked, trying to spell what he thought was the word.

“Robot? Why, it’s…” she paused.

“You don’t have robots on your world?” she asked.

Link shook his head no.

“Well, let’s go in,” Amy told him, “You’re probably tired,”

Link grabbed the doorknob, opened the door, let Amy in, and walked in behind her. The room was amazing. He saw green walls with white stripes on them. He saw a machine that spun around in a circle above his head as he entered. He also saw a wooden object that was standing on wooden stilts.

He then noticed the four beds. Each had white sheets on the bed itself, and each had pillows with something white covering them. The frames themselves were made of the sort of metal Link’s grandpa uses to make swords out of. Each bed had a window over it. The window itself had some black sheets covering it.

He closed the door softly and proceeded to let his mouth drop in admiration. Master and Crazy sure put together a nice room, he thought.

“Um, Link?” Amy asked, “Your mouth is open,”

Link snapped out of it.

“Sorry,” he said. God, I’m an idiot, he thought to himself.

“It’s okay,” she replied as she walked over to the bed closest to the left side of the room. She put her hammer on it, and Link watched as the white items turned as pink as the dress she had on.

“Whoa,” Link said, feeling stupid as he said it. He walked over to the bed next to hers and touched it. Everything that was white on it turned green in the blink of an eye, literally.

“Double whoa,” he said. He took off his boots and laid on top of the bed, not realizing that Ezlo was still on his head.

“Ow,” Ezlo said in pain.

“Oops, sorry,” Link said as he took Ezlo off his head. He got up and put Ezlo on the desk, and then he went back to his bed. He was ready to lay back down when he heard a knock on the door.

“Link, can you get that please?” Amy said.

Link walked to the door and opened it. Standing out there were two people. One was a girl who was in a pink and black dress with pink boots and a white bandana on. The other one was a little man in a little suit that Link never seen before; he had three plantlike things behind him.

“Hello?” Link said, trying not to sound shy.

“Hi, is Ash here?” the girl asked.

Ash? Link thought, Who’s he?

“Uh, no?” he said, a little confused.

“Excuse me, miss and mister,” A robotic voice said from outside the room. A yellow robot appeared at the door, and Link quickly realized that it was the same one he saw earlier.

“Yes?” the man said, looking up at the robot.

“All rooms are full. We ask that you two take this one, since it has only two occupants,”

Link was looking a little confused.

“Is that all right, Miss Amy?” the robot said.

“It’s okay,” she said calmly, “We don’t mind,”

“Good,” The robot walked away again.

As the two people walked in, Link asked, “Excuse me, but who are you?” in a calm voice.

“Oh, how silly of us,” the man said, “I’m Captain Olimar—”

“What vessel?” Link blurted out.

Olimar ignored the question.

“—and this is…” He paused. He gave a look that told Link that he didn’t know the girl personally.

“Dawn,” the girl said.

“Welcome to the room,” Amy said cheerfully, “I’m Amy, and this is Link, although his tournament name is MC Link,”

“I’m Ezlo,” Ezlo said.

Dawn and Olimar turned to face the desk.

“Is that hat talking?” Dawn asked.

“Oh, don’t worry. He’s just being friendly,” Link said.

Both turned to look at him.

“Okay, we’ll just pick a bed now…” Olimar said as he walked over to the bed next to the other wall. As he jumped onto it, the white items turned orange.

“Cool,” he said as he laid down.

Dawn walked to the bed between Link and Olimar and touched it. The covers turned pink, while the pillowcases turned black.

This was going to be a long day, Link thought as he went to his bed.

He laid on it and took a nap.

Re: Super Smash Brothers: All-Out Battle!

Hello. This is the next installation to the story. Hope you like it.
************************************************** ***************
Olimar was looking at the ceiling for a good five minutes before he got the nerves to ask a question.

“How do you even fight, Dawn?” he asked.

“Hmm?” Dawn said, turning around. Olimar realized that she and Amy were talking to each other, although what they were talking about he wasn’t sure.

“How do you even fight, Dawn?” Olimar repeated the question.

“Oh…well…here, I’ll show you,” she replied. She reached into her bag, which Olimar just noticed was with her, and pulled out a rather peculiar sphere. It had red on one side and white on the other.

She got into a position that looked like she was ready to throw the object.

“Buneary, come on out!” Dawn said as she threw the object down to the ground. Olimar heard a click one second and a flash the next. When it went away, Dawn had the sphere back in her hand, and she had a rather small animal-like thing in front of her.

“Buneary!” the rabbit-like thing said.

“Whoa,” Olimar and Amy said at the same time.

How did she get the creature to be in the sphere? Olimar thought.

He then noticed that the creature (which he identified as Buneary, based on what it said) was looking at him curiously.

“Bun?” it said, sounding confused.

“Buneary, this is Captain Olimar. Captain Olimar, this is Buneary, one of my Pokémon,”

Olimar was confused.

“Huh?” he asked.

“See, I use creatures called Pokémon to fight for me,” Dawn explained, “Humans who use Pokémon are called Pokémon Trainers, and Pokémon are held in these devices called Pokéballs,”

She pulled out the very Pokéball that had held Buneary.

“So you use these ‘Pokéballs’ to collect ‘Pokémon’?” Amy asked, sounding more confused than before.

“Well, it’s like that,” Dawn replied.

“Oh,”

One of the Pikmins jumped onto the bed next to Olimar.

“What are those?” Dawn asked, pointing to the Pikmin that was with Olimar.

“Oh, these little guys are called Pikmins,” Olimar replied.

“How did they get their name?”

“I named them after one of my favorite treats: the Pikpik brand of carrots,”

“Really? It sounds like a funny name for them,”

Olimar noticed that Buneary had jumped up onto the bed and was looking at the Pikmin.

“Bun?” it said, looking at Olimar when it said it.

“Don’t worry,” Olimar said in response, “it won’t hurt you,”

He then noticed that Amy had gotten up and had a hammer on her back.

“What are you doing?” he asked Amy.

“I’m going to the training grounds,” she replied.

“Don’t you need someone to go with?”

“For?”

“To train with,”

“Right,” she looked at Link, and said, “Can someone please wake Link up?”

“Sure, Amy,” Olimar said. He got up and jumped onto Link’s bed. He then tapped on his left shoulder.

“Hmm?” Link said after a while.

“Link, want to train with me?” Amy asked.

“Sure, but let me get my boots on and grab Ezlo,”

He sat up and looked on the floor next to his bed. He saw his boots there, and he grabbed them. He then proceeded to put the boots on and walk over to the desk, which had a sleeping Ezlo on it.

When Link grabbed him, he freaked out.

“What’s wrong now?” Ezlo said, sounding panicked.

“Come on,” Link said as he put Ezlo on his head, “We’re going to the training grounds,”

“What for?”

“We’re going to train with Amy,”

“Okay, Li—” Ezlo fell right back asleep.

“I guess he’s tired,” Link said to himself.

He and Amy walked up to the door. Link opened it, let Amy through, walked out, and closed it behind him.

“Okay,” Olimar said when the door shut.

“Okay what?” Dawn asked.

“You said you had Pokémon. Did you bring others?”

“I could only bring three Pokémon with me,”

“Which are?”

“Buneary, Ambipom, and Pachirisu. Here, I’ll show you,” She reached into her bag and grabbed two more Pokéballs.

“Naw, why don’t you show me when we train,” Olimar said politely.

“When will we train?”

“After Link and Amy get back,”

“Okay. Come here, Buneary,”

Buneary stopped looking at the Pikmin and bounced off to Dawn, who picked it up. She then got a brush out of her bag and combed Buneary’s fur.

When will Link and Amy get back though? Olimar thought.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Sorry, but another fight is in progress,”

“What do you mean, ‘fight’?” Ezlo yelled.

Link and Amy had reached the training grounds a while ago, but were bummed to hear that someone was already using the place. Right now, Ezlo was yelling at the red robot that was at the training grounds’ entrance.

“I’m sorry, sirs and lady, but there are no more rooms available,”

“Rooms?” Link asked.

“There are ten training rooms,” the robot explained, “once you enter,”

“When’s the first battle to finish?” Amy asked politely.

The door behind the red robot slammed open, launching the poor thing right at Link. He ducked, narrowly avoiding the robot. Ezlo wasn’t so lucky, for he got slammed off Link’s head.

Link got up and felt his head.

“Ezlo?” he asked when he found nothing on his head.

There was a muffle underneath the robot.

“Stupid…and…blasted…for…bunch…machines…” he could barely hear.

As Link rushed to the robot to get Ezlo, a tall, dark figure stepped through the door. He had the kind of clothings that would give anything who was living the creeps. The clothings themselves looked like armor. On his back was a reddish cloak, and his hair matched the cloak.

Link grabbed Ezlo and turned around.

“Hello,” the man said in a dark-sounding voice.

“H-h-hi?” Link stuttered.

Link realized that the man was looking right at him.

“Who are you?” the man asked.

“Link—”

He then noticed that the man was giving him a look of suspicion.

“I am Ganondorf,” the man said.

“Hi, Ganon…” Amy cheerfully started to say, but Ganondorf walked off.

“Why did he walk off?” Link asked as they both watched him walk away. Whoever the man was supposed to be like, it sure didn’t sound like he was having fun.

“Hey,” a voice was heard from behind them. When they turned around, they saw a man in a tunic similar to Link’s. He had a weird sword on his back, and was holding a weird shield. The shield itself had the shape of a red bird, and it had a picture of three triangles above the bird-like drawing. The shield also had a blue face with metal surrounding the edges.

“Yes?” Link asked as calm as he could.

“Who are you two?”

“I’m Amy,” Amy replied, “this is Link, and the hat on his head is named Ezlo,”

“Glad to meet you, Mr. uh…” Ezlo tried to say, but he had a moment that rivaled Olimar’s when he didn’t know Dawn’s name.

“Link,” the man said.

“Which Link?” Amy asked after remembering that there were two Links here.

“Link,”

“So, that makes me MC Link for now,” MC Link said to himself.

“Who was that man that came out?” Amy asked.

“That is Ganondorf, one of the most evil people in my version of Hyrule,” Link answered.

“Sounds like Vaati,” MC Link saidout loud.

“Who’s Vaati?” Amy and Link asked at the same time.

“My version of Ganondorf from where I come from,”

Amy looked confused.

“Wait, so you’re a version of me?” Link asked.

“I’m guessing so…”

Link walked up to MC Link and put his hand on the other Link’s left shoulder.

“Look, Ganondorf is a tough opponent to fight, especially for a newcomer like you,” Link said, “You’re lucky to fight R.O.B. for the first round of the tournament, but unless you train hard, you’ll lose to Ganondorf. Promise me you’ll train hard,”

“Why?” MC Link asked after he had absorbed the speech Link gave.

“Ganondorf will give it all he’s got to win, and anybody in his way will be begging for mercy,”

“Okay, then, I’ll train hard,”

“Good, now… I’ll be in Room 10, resting. Come see me if you need help training, okay?”

“Okay,”

He and Amy saw Link walk off.

“A room is now open,” the red robot , which had waited until MC Link and Amy had finished talking to Ganondorf and Link, said at last.

“Thanks,” MC Link said, “Which one?”

“I think it was Room 10,”

“Okay. Come on, Amy,” Link walked a short distance and turned. He saw that Amy was looking in the direction that Link went.

“Amy?” he asked.

“Oh, sorry,” Amy said after a while.

They went through the doorway, Amy following behind MC Link.

Well, you've got me interested, but I think you should really add more details(description, emotions, etc.) to your story.

I'm not quite sure, Electricut. Olimar could have met Pokémon Trainer, but he hadn't met Dawn until now, which explains his confusion.

EDIT: Oh, sorry. Olimar HAS met Pokémon Trainer. I see your point a little, Electricut.

Oh, and before I forget, Bobby Emerald: thanks for the tip. I'll remember it when I type.

Re: Super Smash Brothers: All-Out Battle!

Here's the next installation in the story. Enjoy.
************************************************** ***************
The training grounds were simply amazing. In the center of the room they were in was a majestic fountain that looked like one of the robots Link had seen already. It had its head pointed like it was looking at the sky, and it had a circle surrounding it that was about six feet across. Link and Amy walked over to the edge of it and sat down.

“Well, what are we waiting for?” Ezlo asked, “We’ve got training to do,”

Link had a blank stare on his face when Ezlo looked at him. What Ezlo didn’t know was that Link was busy thinking about what the older Link told him.

“Ganondorf will give it all he’s got to win, and anybody in his way will be begging for mercy,”

“Link?” Amy asked, a look of fear on her face.

“Hmm?” Link said as he came back to.

“You were in some sort of daydream or something,” Ezlo said, “Are you all right?”

“Yeah, I’m alright,”

“You sure?” Amy said, “You don’t have to train at this time, you know,”

“I’m fine,” Link insisted.

Amy got up and looked around. She saw that there were ten doors, each about twenty feet from the fountain. Each door had a number ranging from 1-10. The doors themselves were white with a brass doorknob as a handle. They each had a number etched into the wood as part of the decoration.

“Why do the doors have numbers etched into them?” Link asked as he got up and looked around.

“Hi,” a high-pitched voice said.

“No, that doesn’t answer my question—” Link was about to say, but he stopped as soon as he felt himself get swept off his feet. He landed on his back. He shut his eyes in pain.

When he opened them up a moment later, he saw a rather short, round, pink creature standing on his chest. The creature’s feet, once he picked up his head from the ground, were red, and the thing had a happy expression on what he could safely call its face.

“Hi,” it said cheerfully.

“Hi,” Link, not having much of a response to the creature, said.

The creature got off Link before he could ask it to get off, and he picked himself off the ground.

“Who are you?” Amy asked the pink creature.

“Never mind that,” Ezlo said sarcastically, “What is it?”

“Kirby!” the creature said in response to Ezlo’s question.

“You idiot. That was sarcasm—”

Both Ezlo and Amy saw that Kirby had a look of confusion on its face.

“It doesn’t know sarcasm, does it?” Ezlo asked a moment later.

“I don’t know, but now that you mention it, it looks like a baby,” Amy said.

“What if Kirby was the one who swept me off my own feet?” Link asked, “From behind?”

Amy looked at Kirby, a look of admiration dawning on her face.

“It looks cute, though,” Amy admitted.

“Kirby may look ‘cute’, but don’t underestimate his strength,” another voice said from behind them. Link turned around and looked at the doorway with the number, “7” above it. Standing there was a creature, about the size of Kirby, with a strange mask on. It had a purple cape on its back, some sort of high collar behind its head, purple mail boots on its feet, and white gloves on. Its eyes glowed yellow, giving Link a nagging feeling: what was behind the mask?

“What—who—when—” Link stuttered.

“Who are you?” Amy asked politely, giving Link a glare he took as, “Where are your manners?” while she said it.

“I am Meta Knight,” the creature said as it did some sort of bow towards Amy’s direction.

“I’m Amy,” she said, not exactly sure how to respond at this point, “and this is my friend. His name is Link, although his tournament name is MC Link,”

“I’m Ezlo, Link’s ‘conscious’,” Ezlo piped in.

Meta Knight saw that Link had a sword on him.

“Ah, Link, I see that you are a swordsman as well,” Meta Knight said to Link.

“What, you’re a swordsman?” Link asked.

“Yes,”

“Why don’t you have a sword?” Link was about to ask, but he noticed that Meta Knight had a sword slung next to his “waist”.

“What is Kirby, though?” Link asked instead.

“Nobody knows, but he is a Star Warrior who was destined to save Popstar from annihilation. That is all I can tell you,”

“That’s a shame, having a fate forced onto him at such a young age,” Amy commented sadly.

“Kirby isn’t a weakling, as I pointed out, Miss Amy. His signature move is being able to swallow enemies and using their powers for his own,”

“Can he show us?” Link asked.

“Not right now, but I have a good idea. Kirby and Miss Amy will go to Room 10, and you will follow me. I want to see just how you can fight.” Meta Knight told Link.

“Okay…” Link said, uncertain about what was going to happen.

“I’ll meet you back at the room with the others,” Amy said.

“Okay,” Link agreed.

He saw Amy and Kirby walk over to Room 10. Amy opened the door and walked in, Kirby following behind her.

“Come on, Link,” Meta Knight said.

Link turned around and headed to Meta Knight’s position.

Link entered a while later. The inside looked like it was from the future; it had two transparent tubes connected to a small machine. The tubes looked wide enough to let anything in, and the floors inside them were black. The machine had an image of a place that had a tree in the center. The tree itself had black eyes and a branch sticking out so that it looked like it had a nose. It also had—

“What are those?” Link asked, pointing to the apples growing on the tree.

“Apples,” Meta Knight answered.

“Apples? Are we eating now?”

“Not really, but we’re going to train here,”

“Ah. What’s the place called?”

“Dreamland,”

Link saw Meta Knight punck in something on the screen.

“There,” he said after a while, “Link, get into one of those tubes,”

“Okay,” Link said. He walked over to one of the tubes and entered it. It closed behind him and opened up in front of him, revealing the place he had saw on the screen just moments ago. The tree looked at him, acting like it saw nothing. He saw Meta Knight appear from the other side of the tree, inside a tube like Link.

“Ready, Link?” Meta Knight asked.

A voice boomed in all of a sudden.

3…2…” the voice said in a loud voice.

“Ready,” Link said, confidently.

1…GO!

Link felt the tube disappear from under him, and he fell to the ground, landing on his feet. Meta Knight landed as well, but he was quick to react. Link only had time to pull out his shield before Meta Knight landed the first blow. Lucky for Link, the shield blocked the blow, and he was able to grab the Picori Blade off his back.

“Huh!” Link said, swinging his sword in front of him horizontally. Meta Knight parried the strike and retaliated by swinging his sword at Link. Link was quick enough to dodge the blow, but his tunic wasn’t so lucky. It received a cut across its front.

“Wow,” Link said as he regained his ground, “you’re good,”

“Ah, that is not all I can do,” Meta Knight said as he ran towards Link.

“Ezlo, go bite him,” Link said coolly, thrusting his head forward. Ezlo opened his beak and snapped hard on Meta Knight’s right hand.

With his left, Meta Knight swung his sword at Link. He scored a hit across Link’s left shoulder, and again, and again.

“Ah!” Link cried in pain. He quickly backed away as far as he could without losing Ezlo.

“That’s nothing,” Meta Knight commented, “Watch this!”

He jerked his hand out of Ezlo’s grip, and he jumped back. Link fell on his butt, clutching his shoulder. When he looked, he was surprised that there was no blood welling out of his wound. His shoulder, however, felt painful.

“That’s one of the new technologies that Master Hand added. He called it, “Shield Injury Indicator”, and its job is to protect your body from being injured severely. It goes to a small machine that tracks your damage indicator, and when it reaches a certain point, you become easier to knock off. Of course, you don’t want that to happen to you, do you?” Meta Knight explained.

Link knew that whatever Meta Knight, it meant that he couldn’t take too many hits.

“Link, Use the Picori Blade,” Ezlo said.

“Okay,” Link said as he ran up to Meta Knight. He brought the Picori Blade down on Meta Knight, but he blocked it with his sword. For the first time, Link saw what the sword looked like. It had jag-like blades protruding from the sides. The whole sword was golden-colored, and near the hilt, it had a ruby stuck in a hole.

“Tsk, tsk,” Meta Knight said sadly as he forced the Picori Blade back. Link landed on the ground, and Meta Knight pointed his sword down towards Link. Both were breathing heavily.

“Link, you must learn to choose your moves correctly,” Meta Knight told him, “You cannot wait for an opportunity to arise before you attack. You must make your opponent believe that you are going to strike at an area he could block from. You understand?”

Link nodded sadly. He lost to a person who he barely knew, a move that didn’t score much points if he was to have a good time.

“Good, you will resume your training tomorrow, this time with someone who is closer to your age,” Meta Knight concluded. Then to nothing in particular, he said, “End Training,”

He and Link warped out of there.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“How did your training go, Link?” Olimar asked.

After leaving the training grounds for the day, Link made his way back to the room. When he opened the door, he saw that Dawn and Amy were on Dawn’s bed, talking about something. He also saw Olimar and three blue Pikmins sitting on his bed.

“Not good,” Link said sadly. He took Ezlo off his head and put him on the desk. He then took the Picori Blade and the shield off his back and stood them up by the desk. He then went to his bed, took off his boots, and laid on the bed.

“It’s alright to lose some…” Olimar said calmly.

“Battles? I’m a Link, and I’ve lost to a person I didn’t even know for five minutes,” Link snapped.

“You may be a Link, but that doesn’t mean that you need to win. Luck needs to be with you,”

“That, and you defeated Vaati with your strength, not that of the Picori Blade, remember?” Ezlo said.

“Ezlo, that was some time ago,” Link said.

“Still, you did it, didn’t you?”

“Yes, I did. I did—”

Link fell asleep.

“Well, he’s certainly tired,” Ezlo said after a while.

All of a sudden, the lights turned off.

“Night,” Master Hand said inside their minds.

Re: Super Smash Brothers: All-Out Battle!

Not bad, not bad at all... sorry for taking so long to respond, I had tae kwon do yesterday, and school today. I do like how you implement things like deployment into the story, and the stage selection. Nice job, keep it up.

Thanks for the compliment, Electricut. The next installation is now up. Enjoy!

“Wake up, Link,”

“Hmm?” Link groaned as he woke. His shoulder still ached a little from the training he did yesterday.

He opened his eyes. Standing next to his bed was Amy, holding the hammer he nearly got pummeled with by accident. As he sat up, he saw that Olimar and Dawn were at the door, ready to go. Olimar had three strange creatures following him, while Dawn had a rabbit-like creature in her arms.

“Do you remember what today is?” Amy asked.

His memory was a little foggy.

“What’s today?” Link asked.

“Today,” Olimar piped in, “is the first day of the tournament,”

His eyes widened.

“Uh-oh…” he said, surprised. He quickly got up, put his boots on, ran to the desk, grabbed the Picori Blade and the shield from beside the desk, grabbed Ezlo, put him on his head, slung his equipment on his back, and raced to the door. By the time he reached it, he was panting.

“Don’t rush, Link,” Amy told him as she caught up with him, “It’s just the first day of the tournament,”

She got no response.

“Link?”

She saw that Link was busy trying to get some more sleep.

“Link?” she repeated.

“Hmm?” he groaned as he woke up, “Sorry, you said not to rush,”

“She also didn’t say you could fall asleep,” Olimar replied sharply.

“Uh, guys?” Dawn asked, “Why is Ezlo still sleeping?”

Amy and Olimar looked at Link. Sure enough, Ezlo was still asleep.

“Oh well,” Link said, “Let’s get moving,”

Link opened the door, and the others exited, Amy and Dawn in front, and Olimar behind. Link exited as well, closing the door behind him. He caught up to the others.

“I hope I can see Sonic before I fight,” Amy said.

Link suddenly remembered something.

“How did your training go?” Link asked.

“Well, I told Dawn, so I might as well tell you…” Amy replied, her tone becoming sad. She dropped her head down as she told them what happened yesterday.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

She had entered Training Room Number 10, Kirby following behind her. She saw that the room had two tubes connected to a computer monitor. The monitor had a picture of a bunch of vehicles driving on a straight course. Above the vehicles was a rather big ship that was flying over the vehicles, matching their speed. The ship itself had the head of a bird on its front, and it was colored gold on top of the ship. The bottom of it, however, was blue.

“Cool,” she said. She walked up to the monitor and touched it gently. It was just a monitor, nothing more. She then saw a keyboard in front of it. On the keyboard was only two keys: one said “Ready”, while the other one said “On/Off”.

“What do I do, Kirby?” she asked a second later.

She saw that Kirby had entered one of the tubes. She saw that the bottom of the tubes had been painted black for some reason.

“Ready!” Kirby said in his usual baby-like voice.

Amy decided to hit the button marked “Ready”. As soon as she did, she ran to the empty tube and entered. She heard the door behind her close, and she saw the tube open up in front of her. She could see the same image from the monitor outside, but the difference was that she could see the cars moving. She saw Kirby on the other side of the course.

“Hi!” she could hear Kirby say.

She waved back in response.

“3…2…” she could hear a deep voice boom.

I’m ready, she thought.

“1…GO!”

She felt the platform disappear from under her, and she fell. Her dress fluttered around the edge mildly, but she managed to land on a blue vehicle. She saw Kirby land and jump, and she pulled out her hammer. She could feel what she thought was a futuristic car moving fast. Kirby came up to her and tried to suck her in. She jumped before Kirby could open its mouth and swung her hammer at it. It landed on top of it, and she saw Kirby back up a little. Kirby had a little bruise on its head, but it tried its attack again. This time, Amy was caught off guard, and she was sucked in. Inside Kirby, she felt cramped. She couldn’t even move well.

“Let me out!” she cried. She tried kicking, but it felt like she was being sqeezed tight.

Then, she got lucky. All of a sudden, she felt herself fly out. Then she landed on a yellow ship. When she turned around, Kirby had a weird look. Its body now looked like her head, except it still had its own face.

She ran forwards, but had to dodge an arrow Kirby fired from a crossbow. The crossbow was little, but in all respect, it looked just like the the one she had given up after becoming twelve.

I don’t believe it… she thought, Kirby can copy me?

She decided to pull out her crossbow, but as she did so, she realized that she hadn’t used it in a long time. What if I can’t use it well? she thought.

Kirby shot another arrow, and it hit Amy square in the chest. She yelped and fell back, landing on her back with her head nearly touching the road. She felt the spines on her head scrape against the road. She picked her head high enough to see Kirby coming at her. She grabbed her hammer and swung at Kirby, but it jumped over it and landed on her chest. She pushed it off of her and got up. She found out that she was not in a good position to do anything because Kirby grabbed her and pulled her down to its height. It then jumped forwards, spinning forward while it was doing it. She spun with it, and she felt them fall towards the ground. Kirby landed on the car in front of the yellow one safely, but Amy wasn’t so lucky. She felt her head hit the road, then she felt a lot of pain. The pain she felt at the moment was so extreme, she thought she was dead when it stopped.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“…and according to Olimar and Dawn, Kirby found me face first on the floor,” she concluded, “and took me back to the room. I woke up as soon as I hit the bed,”

“That’s a horribly dreadful way to feel pain,” Olimar said, “I heard that a person who hits the road on the Big Blue stage usually wishes they were dead afterward,”

“Yeah,” Link said, feeling sorry for Amy. She had felt pain on a greater level than he had.

“Hey, what are we waiting for?” Dawn cut in, “We have to eat breakfast before we battle,”

“Well, now that you mention it…” Link said as he felt his stomach growl.

They walked down the stairs, turned right, and entered the main room.

Re: Super Smash Brothers: All-Out Battle!

I'm back, and I've brought the next installation with me. Sorry to take so long. I had a bit of writer's block, and I didn't have as much time as I used to.

Back to the action...
************************************************** ***************
As soon as they entered the main room, they saw a great sight. Instead of chairs like the ones from yesterday, there were a long, wooden table stretching from the side of the room they were on all the way to the other side. There were chairs on each side of the table, and judging from the fact that there were only five people at the table itself, they were early.

Link and Dawn looked at the people. One was a little man who had blue overalls and a red shirt on. The buttons on the overalls were golden-colored. The man also had a red hat on, with a red “M” inside a white circular background. Across from the man was a girl in what Link assumed was a royal pink dress. Her hair was blonde, like Link, but she had a golden tiara on her head, which was encrusted with jewels. Next to her was a man that looked taller than the guy in the red shirt, but he was shorter than the girl. This man had blue overalls and a green long-sleeved shirt on. The man also had a green hat on. The hat had a green “L” in front of a white circular background. Next to that man was Link, the man Amy and MC Link met at the entrance to the training grounds. And next to him was a girl about MC Link’s age. She was blond as well, but unlike the girl in the pink dress, she wore something that reminded Link of someone. She had a white dress on, which Link uttered one word as soon as he realized it—

“Zelda…” MC Link said, barely audible to Amy, who had better ears than the rest of them.

“Who?” she asked in an equally low voice.

“Zelda,” MC Link repeated, this time loud enough for the people at the table to face him.

“Link,” Zelda said after a brief pause.

“What are you doing here?”

“Same reason you’re here, I supposed. Master Hand wanted another Zelda as a fighter, so when I got the invitation, he gave me moves I haven’t heard of. The letter also had a letter on how to use those moves to my advantage,”

“Apparently, she received the same moves Zelda had learned,” Link replied.

MC Link suddenly got confused.

“Which Zelda?” he asked.

“Your friend here,” Link said, nodding in Zelda’s direction, “is known as MC Zelda because she’s from the same Hyrule as you,”

“Ah,” MC Link said.

“Aren’t we going to eat soon?” Dawn asked.

“Yes, as soon as the other fighters get here,” Link said politely.

Olimar jumped up onto a chair next to the man in the red shirt. Dawn took a seat next to the girl in the pink dress. Amy took the spot next to Dawn, and MC Link took a seat next to Amy.

“Oh, silly us,” the girl in the pink dress said politely, “We forgot to introduce ourselves. I’m Princess Peach,”

“I’m-a Mario,” the man in the red shirt said.

“And I’m-a Luigi,” the man in the green shirt said.

“I’m Amy,” Amy replied.

“I’n MC Link,” MC Link said, bowing down a bit.

“I’m Dawn,” Dawn replied.

“And I’m Captain Olimar,” Olimar said.

“Captain Olimar! Nice to see you again,” Link and Mario responded at the same time.

“Hey, have you guys met each other?” MC Link asked Olimar.

“Sure, we met in the last tournament,” Olimar replied.

"When was this?" MC Link asked.

His question was never answered because at that moment, they heard Crazy Hand say in their minds, "Breakfast time!". All of a sudden, a plate of food appeared in front of each fighter. On each plate was a bowl of salad.

“Grass?” Ezlo, not knowing what it was, asked nobody in particular, “I personally don’t eat anything as a hat, but their breakfast is grass?”

“It’s a salad, Ezlo,” Amy said.

“Salad?”

“Yeah, it’s just lettuce, onions, radishes, carrots, and tomatoes,”

Ezlo realized that Amy had given him a list of things he never heard of.

“I lost you at ‘just’,” he said.

“I lost her at ‘Yeah’,” MC Link said, just as confused as Ezlo.

That was all the conversation that happened at the table. At least for half the time. As they were finishing up their ‘salad’, Link asked MC Link how his training went.

“Not good, really,” MC Link said.

“Ah. Let me guess: you lost to Amy?” Link said.

“Worse: I lost to Meta Knight,”

Link straight out laughed.

“You’re telling me that you lost to Meta Knight?” he said between laughter.

“Yeah. What’s so funny?”

“Nothing, really,” Link replied as he started to calm down, “It’s just that I remember him well: he could glide through the air with nothing but his cape, and he could disappear for a few seconds, allowing him to strike from behind secretly,”

“Weird, I didn’t see him do that,”

“He saves it for his harder opponents, like Ganondorf,”

“Will Meta Knight and Marth please head to the battleground? The tournament is officially underway,” they heard Master Hand say in their minds.

“Ow,” MC Link and Ezlo said at the same time.

“You’ll get used to it,” Link said calmly.

“I’m done,” Amy said. She got up, picked up her plate, and saw it disappear from her hands.

“Hey!” she said, perplexed.

“Don’t worry about the plates,” they now heard Crazy Hand say, “They disappear when you’re done,”

“Ah,”

She walked out of the dining area.

“I’d better go and train,” MC Link said after she left. He watched as his plate vanished, and then he got up and left, his mind on training.

“Dawn, up for some training?” Olimar asked.

“Sure,” Dawn answered.

Just as they were about to get up, Link quickly asked them, “Hey, you need a training partner, Dawn?”

“Yeah,” Dawn replied.

“If you talk to the robot in front of the door, maybe he’ll give you a list of new fighters. If he does, select one of them. If someone asks you if they can train with you, accept the offer. You can’t afford to have an adversary, especially in the first round,”

Dawn was a bit confused after Link told her all that.

“Okay…” she said, uncertainty in her voice.

“Come on, Dawn,” Olimar said politely.

He and Dawn got up and left for the training ground. What they and the others failed to notice was that there was a Pikachu underneath the table. As soon as everyone left a while later to head to their room, it ran out from underneath the table, exited the dining area, ran up the stairs, and entered a room labeled “1”. When it entered, it saw a kid wearing a red hat, blue jeans, a green vest, a black shirt, and tennis shoes.

“Pika,” the Pikachu said.

“You’re saying Dawn’s here as well?” the kid asked.

“Pi!”

The kid looked up at the ceiling. In his mind, he was thinking, So Dawn’s here as well. I’ll get to see her at least.

Re: Super Smash Brothers: All-Out Battle!

So, pikachu belongs to poke'mon trainer in this one? Or is it ash, and thereby a different guy? also, you misspelled room in the last big paragraph. other than that, no complaints.

Re: Super Smash Brothers: All-Out Battle!

Pikachu fights on his own, but when not fighting, it belongs to Ash. As for the "room" mistake, I guess I got a little caught up in getting the installation up. Thanks for noticing. I'll edit it right away.
