I grew up watching this on Cartoon Network, and oubvously with this voice cast. And without this dub in America, it would've never been famous here, because the Ocean Dub on the WB didn't get it famous at all. A lot of the people in America know of DBZ because of this dub.
I've heard the 3 main dubs; the Ocean Dub, the Japanese Dub, and the FUNimation Dub. The Ocean Dub sounds too cheesy and they weren't as good voice actors as the FUNimation cast was, but that's my opinion. The only quote they did better, in my opinion, is the famous internet meme "It's over 9000!" And that's for oubvious reasons.
I felt that the FUNimation Dub was also awesome because every voice fit the character they were trying to portray perfectly, but again, IMO. And they're just memorable. Like Goku was agressive when needed and not when having good times. Vegeta was always like "I'm the Prince of All Saiyans!" which fit him. He just had the perfect raspy voice and was mostly agressive but humorous at times. Those are just 2 examples. And I also believe Bruce Faluoner music score and the Japanese music score were almost tied, cause they both have their strengths, but I think Bruce Faluconer's score had the right mood more often than the Japanese music score, and the Japanese score didn't fit my tastes as well as Bruce's.
And I think the Japanese Dub is annoying. Many characters sound like really loud, whiny children. That's my opinion.
And I don't like it when people just like the Japanese Dub because it's the original! So? Yes, the script got altered a bit when it came to America but it doesn't mean it's bad. Not at all. The FUNimation Dub had many memorable quotes like Goku's Hope of The Universe speech.

Awhile ago some one was talking about one of their Favorite animes that was centered around a game. I don't remember much about it but I think he said something to the extent of...

10 people were given a box of cash, but they can't open it untill the game is over. If they don't open it before that time they can keep the money in the box.

Then people with the boxes started to track down the other box owners and killed them to take there boxes.

This sounded really interesting, and I shot myself in the foot for not looking it up when I first heard of it. A few days ago I remember hearing about it and I couldn't find out what it was called anywhere!

My god, it's horrendous. Absolutely terrible.

I wouldn't care but for the fact that it seems to have a rather large following. I can't begin to understand these people.

And let's be clear--I in no way present myself as "above" slapstick humor. I love South Park. I think it's hilarious when Kenny is mutilated or the characters puke, for example.
