Yeparooni, this is yet another tutorial here by me. Anyways, we'll be making a sextastic sprite sig like this.

That made me jizz in my pants.

Open up a new document (I used 375 by 130). Paste your sprite in following the Rule of Thirds. Take two colors from your sprite, and make a linear gradient map out of them. Smudge with a nice smudge brush at 100 rate.

I made a new layer and brushed in red with a round, hard brush where I wanted the "flames" or "that beam thingie" to be. I then smudged and blurred it to look like flames. Leave it at Normal, 100%.

I made another new layer and brushed in white along the middle of the flames. I smudged it with a good smudge brush at 100 rate. Leave at Normal, 100%. I also made another new layer, set my gradient to a bi-linear whit to transparent one. I blended it so that it went over the white part of the beam, brightening it up. Leave this layer at Normal, but at 40%.

Added some effect c4d's. I erased and/or smudged the parts I didn't like.

I made some splatter clipping masks of the beam. To do this, first make a new layer from visible and a transparent layer over it. Brush with some splatter brushes over the beam on the transparent layer. Right click on the splatter brush layer and click "Alpha to Selection" and then go to Select - Invert. Hide the splatter layer. Go back to the new from visible layer and click either Ctrl+K or Delete. Move the selected are around until you find a good spot for it. Repeat if necessary. Leave at Normal, 100%.

Make some small spark clipping masks this time. It's just like with the splatter brushes, but instead of using a splatter brushes, I used the Sparks brush with size .29 and the spacing to 115. Instead of brushing over the beam, I brushed all over the sig. Leave at Normal, 100%.

My sprite was covered up by some of the effects, so I duplicated the sprite layer and moved it up on the top layer and erased over the arm that the beam was coming from. I duplicated this layer and set the duplicate on top at Screen, 60%.

I made a new layer from visible and went to Colors - Color Balance. Here are the exact settings, in order. Leave at Normal 100%.

Shadows:
14
17
-16

Midtones:
12
11
-16

Highlights:
7
10
-9

My sig had a bit too much empty space, so I added a space stock over the empty black space. Set it to Normal, 30%.

Now for some more color adjustments. Here are all the gradient maps I used I used (I set them all to Softlight).

Blue - Green 30%
Deep Sea 40%
German Flag Smooth 40%
Orange - Purple 40%

I made a new layer and filled it with black I set it to Overlay at 40%. I also made another new layer, and made another white to transparent bi-linear gradient over the whit part of the beam. I set it to Overlay at 40%.

Finishing touches! Make a new layer from visible and sharpen it by about 30-40. Leave at Normal, 100%. My result was a little bright, so I made a new layer over the sharpened layer and filled it with black. Set it to Overlay at 40%.

Woohoo, you should now have a very sexy sprite sig to show off.

C4d's used:

Yep, another tutorial by me. Anywho, you guyz will learn how to make a sig like this.

**** yeah.

1. Open up a new document. I used 300 x 100. Take two colors from your render and make a gradient out of them, I used red and white. Set the gradient shape to radial. I though mine had a bit too much white in it, so I made a new layer, set the gradient to red to transparent, and stroked over the white. Set this layer to Normal at 30%.

2. I threw in some fractals.

3. I pasted my render in and duplicated it twice. I then did a combination of blurring and smudging on the duplicates. I then smudged and erased where I wanted the render to blend in with the sig.

4. Added some more fractals.

5. I then made some spark clipping masks in the direction of the flow.

6. Added some more fractals.

7. A few more sparks brush clipping masks.

8. Added a c4d.

9. Added some gradients. Now, I'm the biggest gradient map whore ever, so I do a lot. Bear with me now.

Orange to Purple Overlay 40%
Blue Green Overlay 30%
Dark 1 Overlay 60%
Deep Sea Color 20%
Blue to Yellow Overlay 30%
Red to Blue Overlay 30%
French Flag Smooth *I inverted the colors* Overlay 30%
German Flag Smooth Overlay 40%
Mexican Flag Smooth *I inverted the colors* Overlay 20%
Romanian Flag Smooth *I inverted the colors* Overlay 10%
Romanian Flag Smooth Screen 25%
Tropical Colors Overlay 20%
Full Saturation Spectrum Color 10%
Full Saturation Spectrum Screen 10%
Black and White Color 20%
Black and White Multiply 40%

Jesus ****ing Christ.

10. Now for lighting. I set my main color to white and my gradient to FG Color to Transparent. I set the mode to radial. I dragged from where I wanted the light to com from to about where I wanted it to end. I set it to Normal at 100%. I made two new layers doing the same thing, but this time, I changed the colors so that one was red and the other was yellow. I set the red one to Overlay at 100% and the yellow one to Color at 60%. I couldn't see Mario's face very well, so I made a new layer from visible and dragged a white to transparent gradient from the center of his face to the edges of his face. Set it to Overlay at 50%. And last for lighting, I set my gradient to black to transparent and dragged from the opposite of where the light was coming from to about where it ended. I set it to Overlay at 50%.

11. And even after those million G- Maps, I still didn't like the colors. So I made one of Black to Orange on Overlay at 30%.

12. I made two new layers from visible. On the bottom one, I went to Filters - Enhance -Sharpen and sharpened it by about 20-30. On the upper one, I went to Filters - Blur - Blur and blurred it. I then right clicked my render layer and hit Alpha to Selection. I then went back to the blurred layer and hit the delete key. I set the blurred layer to Normal at 30% and the sharpened one to Normal at 60%.

Whoopee. In case you are wondering, most of my fractals were from Greentunic's fractal packs found here, here, and here. Here are the other I used.
Four Leaf Clover
Marbles

A tut has been requested several times for this sig right here

****, that's sick. So, yeah, hopefully you will learn how to make a cool, ghetto sig like that. I doubt you will, though.

1: This should be obvious, just make a new image, set the size to whatever you want (I used 400 x 130), and fill the canvas with black. Paste in your render. Now, take any cool c4d. Make sure it takes up less than half or so of the sig. Once you've anchored it, go to Colors - Colorize and set the Lightness to 100. Set this layer under the render to Normal at 100%.

2: Take another c4d and paste it in. Make sure it fits with the flow that you've established so far. I didn't like the colors of mine, so I went to Colors - Colorize and set the Hue to 360 (0 would also work in my case) and the Saturation to 100. I wanted to add some depth and help the render blend better, so I duplicated it. I set one layer under him and the other over him. I erased the parts I didn't like that were over him. Leave both layers at 100% and Normal. Make sure they are over the white c4d layer.

3: I didn't quite think this blended the render enough. So, I made a new layer over the render and I pulled out a cool c4d and made sure that only a little bit went over the render. I went to Colors - Colorize and set the Lightness to 100 again. Leave the layer at Normal and 100%.

4: I now thought there was a little too much white in the sig. So, I made two new layers and took two c4ds, an "explosion" one and one that followed the flow. I went to Colors - Colorize and set the Lightness to 0. Leave them at Normal 100%.

5: I thought this looked rather empty, so I took a "CD" c4d and set it to addition at 100%.

6: Added a wireframe c4d.

7: Used part of a c4d as a clipping mask. If you don't know how to make a clipping mask, just Google it.

8: I made two pencil sketch clipping mask layers by going getting my biggest pencil sketch brush and brushing in on some areas with spacing set to 100. I then went to Filters - Distorts - iWarp and iWarped them some.

9: Added some sparks brush clipping masks. I set the spacing to .25 and the spacing to 85.

10: Now for some text. I used the font "Capture It" but any fonts similar to it, such as Weltron Urban or any other ghetto fonts will work. I duplicated the text layer twice and took out the eraser. I used the Sparks brush with the same settings from before. I just went back and forth, erasing random pieces off of each layer of text.

11: Now I needed some lighting. I took a white to transparent gradient and set it to radial. I dragged from where I wanted the light to come from to where I wanted it to end. I duplicated this layer, setting one layer to Overlay at 100% opacity and the other to Normal at 60% opacity.

12: Finishing touches! I made two new from visible layers. On one, I did a Dark 1 gradient map by setting my gradient to Dark 1 and went to Colors - Map - Gradient Map. I set this one to Overlay at 30%. On the other, I did a black to white gradient map and set it to Multiply at 30%. Then I made a new layer from visible and went to Colors - Desaturate. I right clicked on the render layer and clicked on "Alpha to Selection" then went to the Desaturated layer and clicked Delete. I repeated this with the 3 text layers and the red c4d in front of the render.

That's my tutorial, I hope you learned something from this.
