Articles and Discussion Thread

As per request, her is the Articles and Discussion Thread. Here you guys can discuss your favorite articles and discussions amongst yourselves. I do not want too much theorizing talk here. I only want what articles you like and why you like them. And of course, you guys can mention articles you don't like either but at least try to be civil about it. I do not want outright arguing or flaming each other. Thanks guys and have fun!

Not a theory related post in over two days folks. I mean, I relaize we're all hard at work on the content pages, but I wants to converse...

Tell me about it. I'm currently focused on the front page work and since I have real life things to so I can't really think of an article... I think we should give it a few more days until everyone finishes the front page topics. It'll be ok. ^^

Yeah, life is getting pretty crazy for me too right now. I have exams coming up and I've been missing an awful lot of classes as it is. I barely have time to read other articles, let alone write another of my own. I have an essay due tomorrow afternoon, but I'll check out a couple of articles now and place my vote.

If you'll write my essays and take my exams for me, I'd be happy to converse. ~.~

I've got two essays to write, and end of year exams coming up. Combine that with regular posting and playing on the Wii, and you have yourself hardly any time for anything else. I'm going to get a couple of the main site sections done, then write up one of my three article ideas, so that should be here in a few days.

with soon my exams coming up, there is less time to do something else. currently my Triforce article is on a slow and steady progress so that will hit ground sooner or later...

Leminnes, I hope you can understand that this time of year is a bit hard to do something else, but after that there will be a sea of time for us to make articles!

oh and if anybody knows what might happen to one of the three triforces when their wielder dies, PM me...

As for today's front page, I suggest everybody to read Uncle Meat's Oracles placement article and Lex's Hyrulean Hotspots article, as those are the articles that probably deserve most to be up there. I said yes to both last week - we need more people make up their minds, and a poll to decide between the two later on if needs be. Right now, Lex has 4 votes and Uncle has 3.

An acconut of my voting action on April 25:

the_Predator's Origins: On hold. Remaining without opinion until I feel we are ready for another MM related musing.

Rak's FSA/AlttP theories: "No" vote. Studies show that the average attention span given single screen is five minutes; its just too long man...

Sentient's placement of TMC: "Yes" vote. Its an interesting subject and the atricle hits on all bases coherently. The "flow" irks me somewhat, but there you are...

Lex's Temple of Time: "Yes" Vote. Its an all around fun read, and would be enjoyed regardless of the content...

Uncle Meat's placement of the Oracles: "Yes" Vote. All the more interesting to the front page for its in depth knowledge of the subjects occluded particulars, I just generally like the work.

Lord Deagra's Timeline Theory: "No" Vote. There just too much to question, too much for him to account for yet...

Hmmmm, 3 Yes and only 2 No... I need to be more of a hardass =P

the_Predator: I'm sitting on the fence. On the one hand, a follow-up article might make a good feature; on the other hand, people might just not care about MM.
Sentient: As of now, "No." It explains itself well, yes, but it needs to deconstruct the idea that TMC is first as well as construct a possible post-Flood placement.
Uncle Meat: Add a bit more to the "theory" bit, but otherwise a "Yes."
mmmmm_PIE: "Yes." Might go over some people's heads, but it's still well put-together.
Rak: I actually have yet to read it (see PIE's note on it being too long).

Yeah, as I reread it, I realised it needed to be more like that. I'll eventually get around to redoing that, but I need to get the other articles I'm working on out of the way first, as well as the ZU main site sections, but before that I have exams and tons of revision.

Alright, I've finally gotten myself to pick up on my activity here.

Now, I'd like to lay down a couple of things:

Firstly, the article I'd like to see published next is Lex's piece about the Hyrule/Termina multiverse. I know that he doesn't want it to be published, but personally I think that the community is ready for it. It is a bit too tough for the average Zelda fan, but so was Pie's.

Secondly, I'd like to withdraw my "no" vote on the Evolution of Gohma article by king of termina.

Thirdly, I don't know what Sentient is planning for his TMC article, but if he is going to make an improved version of it, that includes points from the two articles he has written so far, I think we should wait and publish that instead of publishing the old one now. I'm just saying this because the article in question has the highest vote count.

I shan't be doing the rewrite of my TMC article for a while, since I want to get the Bombers porject out the way first, as I can't afford to delay it any longer.

So what do you think? Should we publish your TMC article as it is or save it for laters?

I think you should save it for later and hand pick one for the next publishing because I think we got a few ties here, no?

Publish it, because it's going to be a good couple of months or so before I even begin the better written update that includes my threads on why the hat and the developer statement aren't evidence.

• Evolution of Gohma +1
• Placement of TMC +2
• Collaboration of LoZ Timetravelling +1

Personally I would like to see the updated version released, even if it takes some time. Perhaps we can put your article on hold and have it released when it's ready, without another voting? You're going to do it anyway, right?

I'd like to hear your opinions about Lex's Multiverse article. Should it be published or not?

It's a great article.... But I think it would be a bit too much for a common reader... Still a worthwhile read.

Like I said, it's going to be a few months before you'll hear of the article again, so I don't see any harm in publishing the "beta version".

I think we should give Lex's article a chance. Some people will get it, some people won't, but let the people who will get it have a chance to read it.
