Very interesting read indeed. I'll need to go trough it a few more times before I can comment on anything but hey... Although one thing I'd like to point out and it is quite significant... If this theory is the be true, then it would mean splittism is dead as Link going back in time in OoT would affect the future to compensate for the changes, or not? Perhaps not because Zelda sealed away the "time gate"?

We also have to take into account, t_P, that in Ocarina, Link isn't just jumping back and forth between two points in time, but that the ravages of time affect him, too. As such, it's perhaps most accurate to say that he sleeps through seven years instead of actually undergoing "time travel", in its traditional form. When traveling to the past, he would instead sleep "negative seven years", finding himself again in his Child form when he returns.
This is not the case in Oracle of Ages, where Link is moving from one point in history to another, exactly as he is. Also, time travel in Oracle of Ages never has Link appearing at any point-in-time he'd already experienced before, whereas this may possibly be the case in Ocarina of Time (in fact, as I read more about alternate histories, this seems to be the most likely case). Anyway, after the fourth viewing, I think I have a much clearer understanding of everything... but the fourth dimension factor, which really isn't important anyway, as you said. And it's obviously very well done. Your presentation is witty (Rated "E", yo!) and interesting, and, while I think it might make some brains explode, it's worthy of a main site feature.

True, I forgot to take into consideration "how" Link travels in OoT... As for the main page article... How would be posted? Just the hyperlink or...? >.< And for those who have trouble with it, in the original "Bombers Theory and Competition" thread andi (me thinks) posted a video which explains how to imagine dimensions after the 3rd one. Worth watching. |

I was trying to find a way to imbed it.... but I'm not sure how I could do that.

You need a couple of things, including the ability to edt html in your posts (Do super mods have that?) and a means by which this board will beable to access the media (And I can't help you there). The code itself is rather general;
Code:
<EMBED src="Curious.swf" quality=high WIDTH=? HEIGHT=? TYPE="application/x-shockwave-flash" PLUGINSPAGE="http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash"></EMBED> |

Most in-depth analysis of OOA's time mechanics I've ever seen anyone care to put together. Was half-asleep when I read it, so I'll tell you what I think when I look over it another couple of times. Very well presented though!
