Afternoon 12-5: PM: Slightly more mature shows that are either anime or drawn in similar styles. Poke'mon, Digimon, Yugi oh etc

Evening 6-10 PM: More Teen rated stuff: NagiNage(not sure if that's right) Naruto, Full Metal alchemist etc.

They wouldn't have an early morning/adult swim block, that could just be the stuff that adult swim has.
You'd need to get enough anime to broadcast. 24/7. There is probably enough out there, but I'm not sure if all of it would be watched. Showing certain shows during certain times is good, but that show would only cover about half an hour. If it is a completed show that is on every day, then it would only last somewhere between two weeks to three months (depending on length) before you would either go back to the first episode or switch to a new series.

Not to mention you would need to have licensing. You'd also need to define what would count as "anime-styled." Cartoons from Japan? Cartoons that look like they're from Japan? Cartoons whose characters have big anime eyes, but nothing else? Heck, in Japan, Tom and Jerry counts as anime.

I'd be all for an anime channel, as long as there is plenty of old stuff, and not just Naruto and Pokemon.

I just want to point out a huge flaw in everyone's logic: So, instead of actually making new shows, you would just take canceled old shows and run them 24/7?

Re: If You Could "Fix" Cartoon Network

Mind is blown.

I'd make an awesome show about a teenage vampire hunter in the American old west named Ren Gedder. After his parents, a vampire woman and British officer were killed, he tries to find the assassin that murdered them. It would deal with deeper issues, like lots of death and prejudice. He befriends an escaped slave, who's extremely smart. It would basically be a cross between Dracula and a western film. It could be epic.

Yeah, because Cartoon Network has the same budget that Disney has for acquiring shows. That'd definitely work.

No, they'd bring back the original creators, too, and force them to continue writing for their old tired characters, despite writing every possible scenario FOR said characters, and who they probably loathe by now.

Oh, I just want to mention one more thing. A lot of you can't even remember if shows were on cartoon network or not. How well does that speak for your memories of said shows?

Hey, do they still show Hannah Barbera cartoons? Cartoon Network will die when they stop showing them (that probably already happened).

Stopped showing 'em years ago, when they created the Boomerang network which shows them all the time. It also shows old Cartoon Cartoons like Dexter's Lab and such (SO IF YOU'RE STILL HUNG UP ON THE ****TY SHOWS FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD, 96% OF THIS THREAD, CALL YOUR CABLE OR SATELLITE PROVIDER AND ASK FOR BOOMERANG TODAY).

Tried back a few pages, nobody gave a crap, these 17-years olds are NOSTALGIC as HELL. They want their 90's shows on Cartoon Network and they want them NOW!

I know I've pretty much stopped trying, but maybe YOU guys that are complaining should put yourself in a kid's position when watching the shows. That won't help since all of you are just stubborn and don't care what others say, but maybe you'll stand up and say: "You know what? **** my childhood." If you guys can't stand your favorite channel changing, I'd love to see how you handle getting a career or getting married.

No they aren't, at least not in their original form. They shove a Tom and Jerry movie down our throats once a month, and maybe they get a 5 am slot once in a while, but Boomerang is the only place that old stuff is focused on.

I noticed they are bringing back a few older shows, like Ed, Edd, and Eddy, Teen Titans, and a few others.

I think they're actually working on a Teen Titans movie right now, Judas Contract I think. It's not in the same style or continuity as the cartoon, but still...

A lot of these shows, like Ed, Edd, n Eddy where never stopped, they just took a break. Ed, Edd, n Eddy has been airing since 1999 and still is going. I've always liked that show. The art style was really interesting and cool.

Except for, when, you know, they stopped buying new episodes and took it off the air. ._.

Re: If You Could "Fix" Cartoon Network

CN is losing the younger audience. Adult swim is really the only thing that is keeping them alive. I think they are still running Boomerang, like the smurfs, the snorks, wacky races, scooby doo, dexters lab, two stupid dogs, johnny bravo, cow and chicken, courage the cowardly dog, power puff girls, etc. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong

Kyrpto? I can't stan that show, same with Johnny Test. The garish and bad animation make my eyes cry.

What's wrong with Johnny Test's animation? Personally, I think that's one of the best shows on CN.

Re: If You Could "Fix" Cartoon Network

I'm personally fine with just about any animation, I just dislike some of the shows CN has. (No, I'm not a conservatist.)

Dispite the art and such of Flapjack, which keeps the phyical properties of characters so they look gruesome... I love the show.
