I was gonna say its getting easier to do special effects these days so it wouldn't take long and the hardest thing to make in the movie is the werewolf. And, its obviously looking solid. It doesn't mean its going to be a bad movie.

Well, as somebody already pointed out, they aren't really werewolves, just shape shifters. They still can be considered werewolves though, but werewolves don't have to be dictated by the moon.

In lore, vampires and werewolves were supposed to be morbid creatures with the intent of sucking the life out of people or devouring their flesh and bone for the sole intent of surviving, or because of insanity. That is how it has always been in the days of yore, and I'd like it to keep that way.

K that's your opinion and vampires and werewolves can change. Not everything has to be gory and violent.

Basically, Twilight ruined the true aspects of vampires and werewolves. How? Because it somehow got popular, and now we have millions of idiotic girls having 'sweet' fantasies of vampires and werewolves, when actually they would just probably kill them.

They ruined them, only according to whom? Do you own the vampire and werewolf franchise or something?

And don't judge a movie and book by its fans, that's the stupidest way to decide on something.

obviously you didn't read the book or you would know that every other vampire is a bloodthirsty killer and every wolf man thing in the book is bloodthirsty for vampires

i don't know where this talk of them being sweet came from, because they sparkle to attract their prey so as to murderate them and eat their corpse

Vampires in the Twilight books, aside from the Cullens, are the murderous type. In fact, at the end of book 2 I believe the big vampire leaders bring in a bunch of innocent children (I think that's who they were) and they imply that yah, they are going to murder and drink their blood. They kill and feed and that's pretty much all they do. So the vampires technically live up to your standards, yah they are different still, and I wish at least they'd have fangs, but oh well... The Cullens are the only exception, which is why I think the story is good. I like good conquering evil.

Like I said, I just pretend they don't sparkle. But, anyone watch Being Human? Those vampires can be in the sun and everything. I like that. Moonlight also has a different take, they can be in the sun, but it hurts them. I lean more towards the Moonlight aspect, to where they still mostly sleep during the day, but they can be out and about during the day too.

BUT TRUE LOVE IS STRONGER THAN EVIL

I never got how that worked. How can guys with hundreds of minions, death rays, sweet hidehouts/costumes, and devious schemes be defeated by something as weak as love?

I work on satellites and space stuff without much trouble, yet this question boggles my mind.

Yes, but this thread is about the movie. The second movie that hasn't even come out yet. There is a thread already for the books I believe.

The script is largely based off of the book.

Scripts have alot to do with movies. Boom.

Well sugarpoultry, having never read these "books", and knowing that movies based off of books have to cut stuff out so it's not a ridiculously long movie what do you think they'll cut?

The trailer already has me disappointed. Why the **** is Ed throwing girls around everywhere. And why does he take her to the middle of bat**** nowhere to 'protect' her? I haven't read the books, but the more I learn about them and the plot, the dumber it all seems.

Going off of Raumn's question. Why is everyone trying to kill the chick? Is she like the "Chosen One" or something?
