My sentiments exactly, Sea.

And AC/DC use all of like three chords and every song sounds the same on some albums, but this doesn't necessarily make them bad because at least they've stayed consistent (read: listenable). Which is more than can be said for Metallica or Megadeth.

AC/DC is interesting. While their progressions are very simple they're very tight and they jump seamlessly from progression to solo to progression, unlike Metallica and Megadeath which chug along, making awkward shifts countless times in every song. Not to mention, the quality of certian AC/DC lyrics (Big Balls is a good example) far out due the boring and repetitive musings of even the best Metallica/Megadeath song. (The only exception may be One by Metallica, though this song was inspired by a much better book,
Johnny Got His Gun.)
I'm not one for much metal, though. I guess my favorite metal band would be D.R.I. Would you consider them metal? They're thrashcore, so maybe somewhere in between hardcore and metal....
