Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Didja see it? Dijda-didja-didja?

I saw it just yesterday.

I loved oh so much! It had action, it had humor, it had excitement. Above all: it was Star Wars.

I very much love the Clone Wars era. Probably my favorite alongside the New Jedi Order.

Anyways, this movie centered on a single conflict, which was good since most Star Wars movies touch down on a thousand different things at once (like Episode III showing some areas of the war). I felt like I was immersed in Star Wars Battlefront II, but watching the Clone Wars cartoon at the same time.

It was great. I also loved how Anakin and his new padawan gets along throughout the movie. The battle droids were hilarious!

Anyone else see it? If I get a chance to do so again, I will! ^_^

Oh, and please don't bother trolling up this thread with "Too bad it's a fact that Star Wars sucks" and the like. I'd very much appreciate it.

Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Too bad it's a fact that the original Star Wars films are infinitely better.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I did see a 10 minute screening. Horrible, horrible, horrible. It felt more like a cartoon than a Star Wars film. And from the horrible reception it has gotten from critics and fans alike, it seems I'm not too far off the mark.

Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars

I saw this movie and I thought it was great! Anakin and his new padawan were a fun and it made the movie more interesting in that Anakin was more a hero instead of a jedi on the brink of turning to the Dark Side. But what im wondering is what happens to Asoka Tano during the Great Jedi Purge it was said that she was not killed but it also stated that it was not yet written what happened to her.

Yes. What I love about this is that it centered more on the fighting and such.

I've been wondering the same thing.

Let's not have the lemming discussion again, please. I could care less whether critics and some fans don't like it. I do, and that's what matters (to me).

Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars

yeah thats one thing i liked most about it was that it showed in depth battle scenes not just with jedis but with the clones and it was really a great battle, like when all the clones ran up to the frontline and some were just getting picked off i thought that was really cool

Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars

The 10 minute screening was enough for me to conclude that Clone Wars is one of the worst movies I've seen.

Saying how bad it looks is still discussing the movie. I think I probably liked Star Wars before you knew how to walk, and this isn't Star Wars. This is a cash-in.

I'm not trolling. I'm saying I don't like the look of this movie, are you stupid or can you really not tell the difference?

Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars

The problem isn't the art style and it certainly isn't the "worst movie ever" as Dark Link seems to think.

The movie itself is fairly okay. It's a typical American action cartoon put into movie form. There's no problem with that.

The major problem with the movie is that it takes place in a time that no one should care about as the Clone Wars is explored in Episode II, Episode III, the cartoon (that was actually pretty good), multiple books and comics, video games, other merchandise, etc. We pretty much know what the whole scope of what the Clone Wars is about. And now this new cartoon is doing it again. The whole Clone Wars gimmick is ****ing worse than Shadows of the Empire.

But aside from that, it's an okay movie aesthetically. Just a usual overblown television cartoon in movie form.

Irrelevant. Are we trying to fit into Flame Warrior stereotypes?

Can't see the image.

I'll probably download this and watch it once it's out on DVD, but you won't see me paying money to go and see it at the cinema.

That's true I suppose, to some extent, although this is far more blatant a cash-in than even the prequel trilogy was. It's just blatant marketing for all this new Clone Wars stuff.

What I meant to say is that as a Star Wars movie, it flat out blows. Of course I'm just basing this on the screening I saw. Although usually screenings are supposed to appeal to the audience. Most of the audience hated it (mind you a lot of them were avid Star Wars fans).
