[QUOTE=Crimson_Hero;1970627]Yesterday, I saw Makoto Shinkai's
5 Centimeters Per Second. That film reminded me of how drop-dead gorgeous an anime can be. Seriously, this movie's imagery has a breathtaking level so high that it will leave your lungs and eyes shriveled and dry (The story alone will leave you in a similar state).
Here's a preview.
After that, I checked out Shinkai's legendary masterpiece OVA:
Voices from a Distant Star. Why is it legendary? It's 25 minutes of beauty - planned, drawn, colored, written and animated pretty much single-handedly by Shinkai on his Mac. I am in slack-jawed awe. QUOTE]

I can't agree more with you.. They're absolutely beautiful. I can't tell how many times I just sat there and looked at the preview.. longing for its release. The music is truly amazing as well.. the hair on my arms are standing *laughs*
Byousoku 5 Centimeter Per Second is one of my favourite movies..
Among "normal" anime, I didn't think Air looked so bad
(Bah, apparantly I cut away a part of the quoting symbols, but you get the point *nods*)
