High School Musical 2

Why is it that you HSM haters post in HSM threads? Common sense, you don't likey the movie you don't have to post in the movie thread.

why yes. yes it is. and i have seen much, much worse acting.

yes! :] mind you, i do also enjoy more serious movies with acting of a higher quality, but yeah, ridiculous, unrealistic movies with horrible acting are really fun :].

bad acting is actually worse in serious movies than in movies that are somewhat stupid in the first place.

The first was aweful enough (worse than that). The sequel, even though I never watched it (but heard it), is worse than what HSM was. The first movie's story was the typical, same-old, "Some kid wants to be something different, but his dad won't allow that, and he meets this girl which they like each other, and people don't like it" or something like that, with the only exception that music and dance was involved. This movie is a disgrace to musicals everywhere. Worst part about it is that all the kids in my school when in was in the eighth grade, who were in grades 4+, watched the movie during the entire afternoon. I'd rather do work than watch that movie.

And the sequel had bad acting, from what I heard from a few people yesterday. It also had an even worse story, but no one told me what it was. Either way, knowing it or not, I'll take anyone's word for it when they say, "This movie was crap."

I haven't seen any serious, action/fighting movie that had any bad acting. The stupid movies even had good acting, better than HSM.

Oh gawd! I'm turning into the luke groundwalker of HSM!!!!!OHNO! I'm just posting my thoughts and opinions on the show, same as you are. I saying I hate it is no worse or harsh than you saying you like it. in fact, to me, actualy likeing it is the most harsh and sinister sin a human can commit.....

High school musical had one song that was good IMO. The rest was bad acting and horrible plot. It obviously had none of those good elements.

(havent seen 2 so I cant argue for it)

All in all if you want the best high school musical, go see Grease

If I were to ask all the people I know, I'm sure all the girls would say that it was awesome and that the high school guys in it are hot, and the guys I ask would say it sucks and go back to playing sports.

I haven't seen the first one or this new one yet, though I probably wouldn't like it.

Not common sense. And of course I don't have to post. But I do anyway. It's called freedom of expression. =)

I saw the first one. I threw up an hour afterwards, for no apparent reason. So, i'm afraid of it.

Please let us not get into a fight over if people who do not like High School Musical should post in here or not. Everyone should be able to express what they think. If no one disagreed then it would be boring discussing any topic, including this one.

From my experiance on ZU, most everyone hates 2 things. HSM and runescape.

I Watched HSM 1 and laughed the whole way through, it sucks so much tis funy. I didn't see number two for fear of my sanity (Though I did like one song from the first one...only one though)

maybe you threw up because of the extreme "suckage" thats why I threw up last time I watched it.

Yeah, I saw the first one, barfed, and didn't bother to watch the second because my stomach was still angry at me And I didn't want to piss it off.

Now the movies aren't THAT bad, I've never watched it through my own will but since my sister tapes it and then watches it over and over, you eventually do manage to see the entire thing. While you and I may not enjoy it to the fullest extent, the movie does its job well. The thing is catered to little kids and what better way to do that than with a musical?

I can easily recall many of the disney songs I listened to when I was a kid. The Beauty and the Beast Theme, that song that the noob captain sang when he was training the soldiers in Mulan, and practically every Aladdin song. Highschool musical wasn't really intended for adults (but who's to stop us from enjoying it?), this movie is supposed to be the younger generations Aladdin/Beauty and the Beast/Cinderella/Bambi/Alice in Wonderland etc.

My single concern is that people in someways are reflections of what they watch as kids, now so far the movie's have managed to keep the more graphic parts of that age out of that movie well and have made a good wholesome movie. The fact that there's a drama queen in that movie and how everyone looks so good might make the younger folks want to wear make-up more than they already want to. Disney managed to keep the movie suitable for all ages, I just wonder if the idea of suitable right now will be suitable in the future. You can already see a lot of elementary school kids wearing and doing things they definitely shouldn't be.

Meh I think they could have made a slasher flick out of it but what do I know?

I don't think it's terrible though I don't like it. The first one had an ok song though the second one not as much. Though it shows the hooker feathers of ashley tisdale. All in all I didn't like it though I'm not exactly the age group that would enjoy it.

I'm not much a fan of the movie, but it's not aimed at my age group so I'm not going to slur it. I do, however, respect it because of how amazingly well put-together it was. The choreography was absolutely amazing.
