Re: Favorite Books

Right now I am reading Democracy in America. Excellent book that is well written. My only complain is that the author gets a little repetitive. But other then that it is an excellent book.

Re: Favorite Books

I love fantasy, so...

- Anything Tamora Pierce, especially the Immortals!
- The Wheel of Time
- Anything David Eddings, especially The Belgariad
- Harry Potter
- Lots of others, but those are the main ones ^^

.... And I'll think of more when I post this.

Where's My Jetpack? by Daniel H. wilson P.H.D. a testament to all that cool stuff science fiction promised but never eventuate. Find out just why you don't currently own the ultimate in tranportation the jetpack. It also shows us how far of the still developing technologies are and what you could do to bring about the future we all surely want. An excellent companion to the Author's How to Survive a Robot Uprising.

Only books I ever read was LotR and The Hobbit when I was younger. Actually, I read a book about British artist Damien Hirst, that guy is awesome.

Re: Favorite Books

I really don't read much at all so I don't know that many books.

I've read Harry Potter since I was 8 and that is by far the best stuff I've ever read (especially Deathly Hallows).

Other than that I read lots of sports books and my favorite might be Terrell Owens' autobiography called T.O.

Re: Favorite Books

My favorite book is The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux. It's a masterpiece, in my opinion. It made me feel so much for Erik le Fantome, the titular character. It profoundly affected me.

Some other favorite books of mine are In Cold Blood by Truman Capote and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling. Those are the ones that come to mind quickest. Right now I'm reading Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevksy as summer reading for my AP English Literature class, and it's a very good book too.

Re: Favorite Books

HARRY POTTER!!!!! I've read the series I don't know how many times now, but I still love 'em! Number 7's incredible!

Eragon and Eldest Oh my God wow! I was so amazed by these 2 books that I can't wait for the third one to come out. Anyone know when it's coming out, oir even if it's out already?

The Wee Free Men I lol'd a lot at this.

The His Dark Materials Trilogy I loved these books and I just don't know why. I like the idea that we all have an animal in us that reflects our personalities. I want to know what mine would be...

The Trilogy of Five (The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and so on) Heh, the first four are really good and funny, but then Douglas Adams had to go and snuff it before he finished the last book, which was consequently crap.

Re: Favorite Books

Harry Potter Series- Duh.

Eragon and Eldest- Need I say anything here?

Stargirl ; Love, Stargirl- Just finished the second, and there had better be a third...

Artemis Fowl Series- Started the fifth, but since Love, Stargirl came out, I haven't gotten far.

The House of the Scorpion- I could not get enough of this book. I must've read through three times before we had to give them back (I read it because of school).

The Dark Is Rising Series- Can't wait for the movie of it. I must say, the first of the series wasn't as well written as the rest, but meh, they made up for it.

The Chronicles of Narnia Series- Classics. 'Nuff said.

Animorphs Series- I don't care what people say, this was one of the best series ever. The end still has me wishing for more.

Holes- I practically know this story by heart. I watched the movie as well...like fifty times.

A Series of Unfortunate Events...Series- Wonderfully done. I commend Lemony Snicket.

The Seventh Tower Series- I don't know what it was, but this series just held my attention like none other at that time in my life. Ah...I ought to read those books again...

I believe that is all...if I think of any others, I will be sure to add them on.

Do you mean the Seventh Tower series by Garth Nix? If so I totally agree, those were fantastic books.

Thanks, been a while since I read those. I'll edit that now...and I just thought of another.

The Power of Un- story about undoing the past...or at least, parts of the past...from only like...one day... Good nonetheless. Check it out.

Re: Favorite Books

I particularly like the Star Wars books, mostly the ones after Return of the Jedi timeline wise. Right now I'm reading the Legacy of the Force series and waiting for the next book. I also like the Harry Potter books, but not as much as I used to. Some of them in the middle of the series have things that annoy me so much I get a headache. Ender's Game was good as well, I only picked it up because I kept hearing about how good it was.

The later books in that series weren't that great. The one with the piggies was interesting, though.
