Cool The South Park thread.

This thread is dedicated to the Comedy Central hit South Park. Here you can not only discuss the show but anything you have seen or heard about South Park. I'll start whith this: I did a Google search for Zelda fan art and found three images titled South Hyrule! It showed Zelda, Link, and Dark Link. They all looked like kids! It was hilarious! Do you have something to say about South Park?

I love South Park so much, it is an amazing show. I've seen every episode and I think that the WoW episode is the best; they even got blizzard to help them make it. I always look forward to the new ones, we have a group that gets together in my dorm to watch them.

I love South Park, and so does a teacher at my school. We often talk about it, and she has said that the newer episodes should be played at school to teach. My favorite episode would have to be the September 11 episode. Who can't love the Hardly boys?

Re: The South Park thread.

Tell your teacher to have something similar to Mr. Hat and try teaching with it for a day. In my english class last year someone made a comment about South Park and the teacher agreed; at first I found myself nodding but then I realized that meant she watched SP. When I asked her if that was true she said, "No Adam, I don't watch South Park, like all other teachers, I sleep at school and eat chalk." Silly me.

Re: The South Park thread.

Youtube has a funny one where Jimmy and Timmy join the crips, but they don't know they are gangsta crips, not handicapped. I got the WoW episode in my siggy. As a WoW player, I found a few flaws but it was so funny. Butters plays Hello Kitty Island Adventure XD goofball.

Sword of a Thousand Truths, damn I want that sword. Did you notice its a 1H sword? You can have a nice shield too!

Your teacher should be fired, have whatever certification she's earned taken away from her, and then be imprisoned.

South park is hilarious. Not funny, mind you, but hilarious. It makes the Simpsons look good, which isn't an easy task. But yeah, if I wanted mindless swearing, and sour humour, I'd partcipate in my grandparents' poker games. Much more amusing.

Was that a joke? South park teaches alot of lessons about life, just with humor and profanities. What's wrong with that.

You learn more about life from watching Sesame Street than you do from South Park. Hell, it wouldn't surprise me if Blue's Clues was more informative.

And "what's wrong with that?" Many things are wrong with that. "Ooh, look at us. We're aiming at a more mature audience. Let's fill our already crappy program with cursing and promote violence!"

And your teacher must be very caring toward her students if she actually considers subjecting them to such a pointless and insulting program a good idea.

Aex, I don't want to turn this into a flamming thread, ok? The teacher is also my best friends mom, and we were talking about outside of school. So yeah, the WoW episode is pretty good. I liked it when Stan's dad's character was killed and he made all of those noises when he died. Also when Cartman was yelling at Klyde in the fight and it turned out he was reading Playboy. LoL!

Re: The South Park thread.

I yeah Klyde lol.

Cartman was all cursing and throwing his mic, hahhah.

Remember when Cartman said he needed to crap and called his mom? He crapped all over her!!!

Pure gold.

That was funny when his dad told him to go outside and he said

"I am artard! I'm logged into a MMORPG playing with 7 million people and getting XP with my team using teamspeak."

His dad said ".......i'm not artard"

I loved that episode.

1. Have you ever watched the show?

2. Do you understand what they are trying to do by using things like violence and profanity?

If you answered yes to both of these things and you still find it revolting, then stop watching it. Don't come in here and say that you think it's awful unless you have specific things that you don't agree with and wish to discuss them. You're a mod, you shouldn't come so close to flaming like that and try to incite useless flaming.

Re: The South Park thread.

My favorite parts of the WoW episode.

Butters-"i dont have WoW"

Cartman-"what do you play?"

Butters-"hello kitty island online adventure"

Cartman-"butters, go buy WoW and join the online gaming expirence before we murder you"

and then he makes the same exact character as Cartman, so great.

Also when Stan's dad is like

"i am a human hunter, and i protect the alli-" and then the guy kills him, so great.

1. Yeah. I've seen Barney, too. It'd take me a few minutes to decide which is more childish.

2. Murder the last pieces of goodness left in our society. But at least The Simpson, Futurama, and Family Guy did it in a respectable manner.

And you want specific things I disagree with? Perhaps the fact that they seemingly find a reason to swear ever five seconds. Honestly, there's nothing funny about, "God ****ing dammit Cartman! What the **** did you do to your ****ing face?!"

Disagree with me, it'll make my day.

No, no they didn't. Family Guy least of all, if anyone is murdering society it is Family Guy, at least South Park has a message. A message, I might add, that "through the eyes of a child" is very clear and good hearted. If you invest thought in the show they are improving the general opinions and understandings of society through jokes and cuss words because people obviously find them funny.

There is a book full of philosophy essays that are based on The Simpsons called "The Simpsons and Philosophy, The D'oh of Homer." That will spell out the way The Simpsons just teaches people to accept inadequacy that society shouldn't.

That is a discussion for a different place though; I hope your day is now brighter.

I guess the only thing I really take seriously is comedy.
