I certainly don't dislike you at all, so please don't think that. We just have a difference of opinion, and I actually admire how stoic you've been in supporting your opinion and, for the most part, keeping your cool. You're not gonna change my mind and I'm not gonna change yours, and sometimes that's how it should be. You have my respect.

I think this thread is starting to lose its topic a lot though...
WHAT!! A THREAD GOING OFF TOPIC? THIS SEEMS LIKE A JOB FOR MIDGET MAN!!!
Ok, thats what you get with any DC comic. Anyways, I think Spiderman would win. Batman may be the better melee fighter, but he wouldn't be able to catch Spiderman. Spiderman is also physically stronger, although that may not be of too much importance. I guess I'm just saying that Spiderman would win because I find all of DC's comics to be a little, errr, strange.
Well, comics have never really been my thing. Muscular sweaty guys in colorful costumes, shouting out stupid phrases and hiding in phone boothes really isn't my thing. I guess I'll stay out of this one.
*steals a smoke bomb from Ninjablade. Uses it* *smoke clears and I'm still here*
That is cheap stuff. *runs in random direction.*

Oh, well anyways. Ummm, how to say this without Spiderman and Batman fans wanting to kill me....well, I don't like either of them. Batman and Spiderman are just two weird people with fighting skills and/or powers that wear stupid costumes and beat up people with striped shirts. I'm going to die now, aren't I? *sees angry mob*
Yeah, I'm not too crazy about Smallville. I mean, it may be a good show on its own, but the whole premise of it bothers me. Taking a huge cultural icon like Superman and making him teen girl friendly just doesn't do the character justice, in my opinion.

I know smallville screwed the story up, but have you ever stopped for a moment and thought? Every hero has to start somewhere! As weird as it seems, spiderman, batman, even the all powerful galactus started as a baby!!
But seriously, wouldnt it be awasome to have supermans powers in high school? Sure they messed the story up big time, but its still a good show! Just sit down and watch at least 2 epidosdes and tell me it still sucks!!
Anyway Im stickin with spidey, city or not, I think he would win!
Yeah and spideys first villain was supposed to be doc ock, but they changed the movie and the costume! Fact is the new will always differ from the old, storywise! Anyway THANK that one vote! Spidey would surely win! But I know lots other disagree!
Alright guys, I have been reading this topic for a while and I wish to show my opinion.
Ninja Blade: Throughout your posts here, you have constantly been bashing on how intelligence does nothing in a fight. As Ogmios has stated over and over again in the previous posts, brains helps quite a lot. Let's take someone like, the Riddler. Let's assume just a random person is fighting him. He starts beating on the Riddler pretty bad. He falls to the ground and says, "Careful, only fools rush in." Completely disregarding his statement, the person charges at him and falls into a trap door just as soon as he's about to hit Riddler. That's why brains are an important factor in fighting.
Now that that's off my chest, I'll contribute to who I think will win. Both fighters are well balanced.
Has many weapons and gadgets that can get him out of many tight spots.
Is a martial arts master.
Very intellectual and cunning.
Has lots of money to give him an endless supply of materials for weapons.
Has super strength, speed and fast reflexes.
Is a very smart chemistry and physics student.
Has spider-like powers such as climbing walls and jumping high.
The fight would go something like this: Spiderman shoots his web; Batman gets surprised and gets stuck. Spiderman hits him back; Batman takes out Baterang and cuts free from web. Spiderman swings to the next building, Batman follows. Spiderman hides on a wall, Batman sees him and throws Baterang and knocks him down. Batman rushes in, Spiderman escapes with web and pulls himself up. Batman grabs Spiderman's legs with grappling hook and pulls him back down. Batman swings him around and throws him. Spiderman breaks free from hook. The fight will continue like that until they reach a draw.
I think that Spiderman will win the first fight by just hitting him really hard and tying him up. But then Batman will develop some type of strategy or chemical that he puts on his suit that Spiderman's web cannot stick on. Then Batman will beat Spiderman badly.
But then they would relize there was no point in fighting so they would team up! But I see your point, BUT you missed one little detail, spidey would be able to dodge that baterang attack due to his spider sense!
Also spidey would study bats as well, so they would be even! I still say spidey would win, but in a rematch IF batman studied, he could possibly stop him! But in the end they would ally themselves I would think!

sorry if this is double post:
If you'll notice in every one of my posts, I NEVER said spidey would use his webs, so the webs dont work, sidey has battled countless villains on which the webs dont work!
The rhino, mysterio, scorpion and many others, but in the end he beats them with his speed, strength, and wits! notice I said wits, yes spidey uses wits also, he beat the rhino by developing a chemical that would melt his suit so he could get a good punch at him!
Okay, so they both are really smart, but the Batman is smarter. First of all Batman would never get surprised by webbing, and he almost never attacks without assessing his enemy's strengths. In spiderman's case, he knows a lot about his powers, so he could come up with a way to trick him. Spiderman, being superfast and agile, could seriously damage Bats if he wasn't particularly careful.
