Big Brother

Does anybody else watch this train wreck? I've watched every season since season 8 (my cousins got me hooked on it when I was visiting them a few years ago). Everyone just lies and cheats and steals for the whole summer. And then they start yelling at each other, one argument between two total drama queens divides the whole house (happens every season).
Then there's always that one person that you kinda like in the beginning, and then by week two or three you're like "they're annoying as ♥♥♥♥♥! They need to go" and they actually get evicted the very next week
Then there's always those people who just sit and eat all summer and they suck at competitions, and you don't even remember that they're in the house because they do nothing until the final four. But before they're in final four they're usually seen talking smack with one of the strong players in the house (and they usually just ride on this person's coat tails). When they get into final four, then they finally decide that they want to "play" seriously

so, anybody watch this? Or am I just sick in the way that I enjoy uncontrolled chaos unfold on my television. I don't care if production pokes their noses in on some stuff and forces some confrontations, I find this funny. I don't know if this is a reflection on me as a person, but... god... I think this is the best thing since sliced bread (even if the seasons are just getting crappier and crappier because they bring in real do-nothing people)

Re: Big Brother

Lol, I watched the last two. It's utter trash, but it's entertaining at times, especially when they blow up at one another and are manipulating one another (About 2/3 of the show). Last season, it didn't even seem like half of them did anything. What days are on it again? How far is this season into it?

Re: Big Brother

Last season was a joke. They just need to do another All-stars and quit bringing back these veterans in small doses. The vets were like the only ones even playing last season. And yes, 4 veterans are back this season, but as "coaches", and they're playing for their own prize. Honestly, I'm more interested in the vets than I am in the newbies because the vets get more screen time and the newbies don't do anything.

Tonight was the second episode for this season. It's on Sundays and Wednesdays at 8/7c, and Thursdays at 9/8c.

Re: Big Brother

Ah, thanks; I'll have to start watching it again. Agreed about last season. I've never seen all stars, but I'd imagine it would be way better than just bringing back a few and having only them playing the game while the others just sit there. At least this time, the newbies will actually have to play for themselves.

Re: Big Brother

I think it's going to be the vets playing the game for them lol. They'll probably manipulate the newbies into doing what they want them to do.

Re: Big Brother

This year, Big Brother will return to Australian TV after 4 years on a different, (arguably) more mature network. This Season is being promoted as having "Real" people in the house (Including a priest at the looks at things...)

Idk, I'm really excited.

Re: Big Brother

I've been watching since Season 8. Last season sucked. I hope this one is better.

Most of the fun of these kinds of shows is seeing the idiots who they put on TV. And of course, thinking about the strategies that they aren't using.

Re: Big Brother

I've been watching since Season 1. Me and mom always watch it together. This season I am glad Wil is on there, because I use to watch him ALL the time on Youtube and I just think he is so funny. I agree with the seasons getting crappier but it still amuses me. Reality shows always use the same formula, add the slutty girl, rocker/punk type person, gay,drunk/drug addict put them in a house full of other ego crazed money hunger people and boom you have good tv lol.

Eviction night! Who do ya'll think is leaving? Frank or Kara?

Boogie is started to annoying the CRAP out of me, and it's only the first week. He's just clinging to his victory in All-stars and he's acting like he's the best BB player ever.

Re: Big Brother

When it comes to Reality TV Game Shows, Big Brother has been the one I've watched the most (Survivor is another. "The Mole" only lasted one season, but it was soo good, I wish it lasted longer). I haven't seen ALL the seasons (I lost interest for the past few seasons), but I always watch the first episode to see the people entering in the house. I guess the reason I've lost interest is because "the twist" didn't seem all that creative or interesting (but the veterans they brought back interested me for now). Plus, the house barely changes (understandable considering all of the cameras and what not, but still...I like variety from year to year, and to me it seems quite stale).

You know what would be an interesting twist? Have (let's say) Big Brother U.S. and Big Brother Australia play at the same time, but once half of the contestants have left, then the remaining players from both countries come together in a brand spanking new house! Will it be U.S vs Australia? Or will completely new alliances be made?

And since we're on the topic, I am watching the Big Brother-ripoff show "Glass House", just because it's a new house. Honestly, that's the only reason why. It's basically the same show, just a different house. I'm not a big twitter follower, but I do like it that the audience is more involved. Plus I think Joy from The Glass House is the most attractive*.

*Doing a quick google search, I just learned the Joy is a Playboy model.

I like that twist idea. Canada is apparently getting it's own Big Brother next year. It'll probably suck compared to BB USA.

LOL. I watched Glass House like once, and I couldn't watch it because it's such a rip off. I felt like I was cheating on my true love

I LOVE Britney! lol
I thought she was hilarious in BB12. I loved how she would always make fun of Rachel.
When I heard about the "twist", I swear I thought Rachel would come back. If I ever hear her voice again I will rip my ears off.

Rachel was on the Amazing Race!?
I stopped watching that show very long ago. I saw that Jeff and Jordan were on there, I watched maybe 2 episodes of that season because I love a cute couple lol.

lolspoilersmuch

Just kidding, I stopped taking the show seriously after the veterans dominated last season. Beforehand, I was too young to understand the show.

Same here. But I suppose what the biggest problem with past seasons has been, all the real players (ie. Frank) get booted out the first few weeks, and then you just have these quiet people.
Kara was one of the quiet people.

And now Frank has HOH. Boogie is just flying high
Willie is automatically on the block, no doubt about it. I wouldn't care if Willie left, he's a jerk. Right now I'm thinking Willie and a pawn on the block.
I think they really need to get rid of swing voters (ie. Ashley)

God I hate Boogie. I can't wait until the coaches can start playing as actual players (let's accept the facts here. It's probably going to happen).

Re: Big Brother

I can't stand Boogie either and his smug smirk when Frank got HOH made my blood boil, this is really the only season I am not rooting for anyone yet

Re: Big Brother

He's acting like such a cocky little kid. I've watched parts of season 2 and All-Stars online, and I think Dr. Will was the real driving force in that alliance.

I'm rooting for Janelle and Britney, even though they're coaches. They'll be players soon enough. Actual players right now... we haven't seen much of them. The vets get a lot of screen time, because they're playing the game for their players.

Re: Big Brother

Hm, I never had a definite favorite until the third/fourth eviction in the past two seasons. Just hoping that they can send out Willie without him getting the PoV or making alliances and saving his neck.
