Korean Dramas

Lately I've been watching a couple different Korean Dramas and I must say when those young looking boys smile it makes me blush. =w=

A list of shows I've been watching are:
~Boys over Flowers (read the manga too)
~ Cinderella's Sister
~ Flower Boy Ramen Shop

I find them better than American soaps like All my Children.

So have you watched any good KD's recently? Tell me about it and we can swoon and discuss. lol

Re: Korean Dramas

I only used to watch the historical dramas (no subtitles and no dubbing, and I speak almost no Korean OTL ). Loved the costumes, sets, and I can be a fan of the cultural element that is called han.

The live action shows based on shoujo manga or manwha is much different from the Korean dramas I've seen.

This is my favorite Korean actress --> Lee Young Ae - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I believe that she's fairly well known internationally, and I saw her in a drama called Dae Jang Geum.

Rather than pretty boys, they show a lot of food.

And I love food.

Re: Korean Dramas

Although I'm Korean, I actually don't like many Korean dramas.

However, I did find one quite enjoyable. It reminds of Mulan at some points.

Re: Korean Dramas

I just finished "Boys over Flowers", it made me cry. I told that to my husband and he says: "That's what drama's do". lol
Yeah I shed a few tears.

I just checked out the link. It looks good! I'll look farther into it soon!

I do love food myself and sense "Dae Jang Geum" was mentioned twice now I'll look into that as well.

Re: Korean Dramas

Do they sell of these with English subtitles, do you know? The Dae Jang Geum videos that I had bought a long time ago, see, I gave them to my mother. I had watched a lot of it with her, but like I said, I don't understand enough Korean to get the full story.

Yeah you can find these on websites like Dramafever and Crunchyroll, subtitled. There are also DVDs with subtitles as well

Re: Korean Dramas

I don't think I could go without subtitles. XD but if I watched the series boys over flowers again, I'm sure I'd learn the word " what" because they sure do use that word a lot. Lol

Re: Korean Dramas

More Dae Jang Geum commentary. The best parts is the food porn. There is so much food porn there needs to be a parental advisory warning there.

Funny how it changes from cooking drama to a medical drama though
