[TV] Breaking Bad

A science teacher with terminal cancer teams up with a former student to manufacture and sell crystal meth in order to secure his family's future.

I just recently got into this show and got all caught up to Season 4 as of today. I realized there wasn't a thread for it, so I thought I'd go ahead and make one. Anyone else here watch this show? Quite a freakin' good drama, complete with an awesome set of characters.

To kick things off, who's your favorite character from the show?

OMG, I'm surprised there wasn't already a thread for this. I love this show. Walt is such a badass and Jesse is really cool.

Yeah, Walt is awesome. Aside from him, my favorite character is either Saul Goodman or Hank. I didn't think much of Hank initially, but over time he becomes quite a deep character. As for Saul Goodman, he's just funny, but somehow very competent despite appearances.

Jesse is a cool character and all, but sometimes I just downright despise him. It all depends on how he's acting, I guess.

Possibly the best show currently airing on television, though it keeps good company.

Only one season left, which is a bummer, but it's a super-sized one and I'm pretty sure Cranston confirmed it'll be split into two parts.

My favourite characters are...well, most of them, really, that's the great part of the show is most of the characters are fantastically crafted and well-performed. But if I had to narrow it down to a few I'd say Jesse, Saul, Hank and Mike. Gus was a fantastic "villain" for two seasons. I was also a big Jane fan for her stint on the series.

well goddamn, that day can't come fast enough.

I have to do the math and see if I can catch up on the last two seasons before the premiere.

You can. It took me two weeks to watch the entire series and still be able to catch the 4th season finale. Can't wait for July. This summer is going to be full of badassery.

I'm nearing the end of the second episode and it's fantastic. The acting of this is just so spectacular and amazing and wow. My post from the TV thread:

I've only ever seen him in Malcolm in the Middle, in which he just acted like an idiot, and then in HIMYM, in which he was just more of an offensive idiot.

I keep calling him Hal in my head though. I should probably stop that.

just finished watching the second episode. I have to say, that's pretty damn disgusting.

also my copy seems to be censored. I'll have to make sure that further seasons aren't, kind of drags you out of it :/

The language is always censored, AMC can't allow f-bombs. It can be distracting, but there's not too much of it.

Always struck me as funny that they get away with so much violence, but can't say '♥♥♥♥.'

well I hoped that dvd copies wouldn't censor it, since it's not got any regulations to uphold

just watched Walton shave his head. I'm not sure how I feel about the look. He looks badass, but it makes him look even older and kind of weak.

I'll post my thoughts on this when I finish watching(wow I just noticed it's almost 10pm) but it's probably going to be pretty one sided. Basically a bunch of "awwww yeah this is epic."

okay I got distracted while writing this and now the episode is finishing. Fair enough.

EDIT: I just finished the last episode. Wow.

I just. This is so spectacular and fantastic and amazing and wow. It's great for so many reasons. The story is just so original, the acting is spot on, the writing is stunning. I can't really pick anything out so far that I love, because it's all so amazing.

So far I'm probably going to say Hank is one of my favourite characters, he's uh... he's hard to grasp. He's badass, and I'm sure that when he gets involved in the plot things will get epic.

While Tuco is a complete dick, I've gotta say that actor is really good at what he's doing.

Jesse is uh... I really like Jesse. There's definitely a lot of character development there, and I can only assume it's going to grow more and more throughout the 5(?) seasons.

I really don't know how I feel about Walter. He's so hard to understand. He makes me think as if he's Jesse's dad. He solves Jesse's ♥♥♥♥ups, and he makes the plans that work. But I don't know what to think of his character, if he's turning nasty or if he's insane or what. It's quite confusing to be honest. Really great though.

Walt's just really bitter.

So I watched the whole seasons 1-4 and I have to say it's one of the best. Nowadays, it's difficult to find a show that sticks to the plot or not making any sense after a few seasons but B.B. sticks to the plot and comes back with a better solid season and that's rare to find shows that gets better every season. My favorite would have to Walt, Mike, Saul and Gus.

Can't wait for July for season 5! All hail, Heisenburg!

And I hope that ♥♥♥♥♥ Skyler dies in the upcoming season! Seriously, she does better research than the DEA!

One more thing: Wouldn't it be awesome if B.B. had a spinoff series based on Gus' perspective?

Fifteen second preview of the new season. Just a morsel, but daaamn Walt.

I can't wait for Season 5. I have a theory about this season. I have a feeling that this season is going to be about everything blowing up in Walt's face. I have a feeling that Jesse is going to find out about Walt watching Jane die and poisoning Brock. And I'm like 90% sure that Walt is going to die at the end of the series. I don't think that they're going to have a "villain" this season like the other seasons, because I think Walt is going to be that "villain." This is all speculation, but I have a feeling that everyone is going to turn on Walt at some point for all the ♥♥♥♥ he's put them through and all the lies. Then again, I could be completely wrong.

I've been catching up on it; currently in Season 3. Jesse is the best blowfish ever.

I'm nearing the end of Episode 12 of Season 4, and well. klFSJKd. I can't believe how quickly I managed to go through the four seasons.

But there seems to be one thing I noticed? doesn't it take 36 hours for the ricin beans to take effect? Or is that just a generalisation. Walt and Jesse seemed to overlook the fact that Jesse had the ricin cigarette about 12 hours before he got the call to say Brock was in hospital. So surely he was poisoned with different ricin.

I just saw Gus die. Man, that was epic. I can't believe that hasn't been turned into a gif yet. "HARGH! BOOM!"

Anyhow, Gus has quite possibly had the coolest death yet.

Just finished Season 4. Gus was an incredible villain; easily one of the best in television history. Truly a brilliant, manipulative, magnificent bastard in every way; unfortunately for him, though, not quite as magnificent as Walt.
