[Music] Your Favorite Depressing Songs

I just remembered "Cats in the Cradle" by Harry Chapin. That and "Christmas Shoes" have always been on my list of saddest songs.

Liking dubstep at the moment and I happen to love this song. Very beautiful and deep and the vocalist really completes the track.

This song by Alter Bridge I really like and is depressing.

Anything by Evanescence (with emphasis on Bleed No More and Hello)

and in particular Sia - Breathe Me

It has no vocals, but I really like Eternity ~Memory of Lightwaves~ from Final Fantasy X-2.

No Distance Left To Run by Blur. Everytime I hear it I get depressed, even though the song is so good. I guess I can relate, but it's a great tune.

Mad World by Gary Jules. The soundtrack from Donnie Darko as a whole is somewhat melancholic to me. I associate it with autumn, which I love.

Ah, I love Alter Bridge.

They're good. Myles Kennedy has an amazing voice.

This song, definitely. I can't believe I forgot it. "Yesterday" is another really good depressing song by the Beatles.



I know a lot of people don't like Korn, but this is a pretty good depressing song in my opinion.


"One" was also a candidate for this spot, but I think that this song is more consistently depressing, whereas the last half "One" is more just heavy than depressing.
