There was a leak that got taken down?

Just watched episode 4. Not sure why Sato's daughter came in, but whatever, she's good filler, and hopefully she doesn't turn out to be a Siren-type plot device.

Apparently Korra is not to lose her bending. At least not for a while. I would have preferred he had fought her before giving his speech, but she would have most likely just been owned. They did a good job portraying her fear, and her crying at the end didn't seem cheesy, melodramatic, or girly, but natural and sympathetic. (i felt sorry for her)

In other news, yay for their continued progress in the tournament! Korra's going to have a hard time in the next match with no practice.

Nah, I was just speaking in general terms. A large chunk of the episode is out, but not the whole thing yet.

New episode today guys!
...Which I can't watch. Damn my TV not having digital cable. I'm going to see if I can hog the TV in the lounge though.

They put the episodes on the internet Saturday night or Sunday morning. I don't have an exact link right now.

I just watched the new episode, and I think I'm finally able to remember most of their names. Except for Tenzin's family, they're names are all gone from my head. What'd you guys think of it?

I thought the episode focused a lot on shipping, which really shouldn't be a major theme in the show. I'm fine with it in there, but an entire episode focused on their feelings for one another? No I can't do that.
I felt bad for Bolin. He is turning out to be my most favorite character in the show. Korra annoyed me greatly in this episode.

I guess they were just trying to get the shipping out of the way. I assume this won't turn into a romantic plot tumor, but it looks like they went ahead and put it out there instead of dragging it about.

Bolin reminds me so much of Sokka. I'm glad he's there.

I can't wait until I see Amon's face. Korra's gonna punch him in it.

He's going to be alright. I don't blame any of them. Korra was forward and got crushed. Mako wasn't honest with her and Bolin said what Korra wanted to hear.

I wonder what happened with Aang to make people hate the Avatar.

I can understand him taking it bad when the girl he liked kisses his brother. Brother betrayer! A double wammy of pain. Somehow I feel that may have been played for laughs, with the way he ran and that snot was coming out of his nose.

Episode 5 in a nutshell:

yeah I get what you mean, Bolin's whole upset was turned into a joke. If I had a brother, and said brother kissed a girl I like WHILE dating someone else, I wouldn't forgive him so easily, and I certainly wouldn't want to be in the same room as him. Bolin is now a joke to me.

Bolin was always a joke character. He's Sokka with bending...but not as smart or charming or boomerang.

I don't think any ships have been sunk yet. It's not like either pair is an item now, and both guys still have an interest in Korra. I wish they hadn't treated this so casually with what happened to Bolin, but whatever.

There's no guarantee Bolin will stay a butt monkey or joke character unless there's been a statement from the makers. Afterall, both Sokka and Iroh changed from their original characters. Can you imagine if Iroh had been evil like they originally intended?

The easily forgiven thing is also a good point. They went out on a date. she was officially his girl. With most other character types, this would be a bigger deal than what it was played out as.

He'l always be a Butt Monkey, but he's one that has Taken a lesson in Bad Ass.

Says who? As far as Korra was concerned, it was a friend date, not a romantic date. Why do guys think that if you go on a date, you're automatically their girlfriend?

It may just be a recent turn of events. Amon was the one who started the whole anti-Bender thing.

Or, better yet, have Korra rub lemon juice into his burns. It hurts, right?

When someone obviously has the hots for you, and you agree to go on any kind of date with them, it's a bad idea to kiss someone else unless you really don't care to hurt their feelings. Though I guess different people do things differently in relationships.


Everyone keeps saying he's like Sokka, while I think he's like Aang but used as comic relief.

Okay I guess if they've said he'll always be this way, I suppose it's the way it goes.
