You know I'd love to see what the Kyoshi Warriors are like these days. In fact I'd love to know their stance on the Equalist movement. It would be fun to see them as supporters.

I really think that there's more to Amon's power than just super strong chi blocking. I mean, if it only involves pressing down really hard on certain points of the body, then anyone would be able to do it.

Amon says that the spirits GAVE him this power, as if he wouldn't be able to do it without them. There has to be some other supernatural link happening here.

It could just be another style of energybending, just as there are other styles of waterbending, firebending, etc.

theyve always been very pro avatar, so I can't see then sideing against her.

if you're trying to get followers, what better way than to lie and say the spirirts are on your side.
nobody else can do it because nobody has been taught this type of chi blocking.

just finished watching episode 3.

#1 I reckon he's basically paralysing the spiritual side of your body, similar to how breaking your neck paralyses your actual body.

#2 I reckon that somehow Mako's involvement in the Triads is a huge Checkov's Gun. Maybe he burnt Amon's face?

#3 does anyone see relevance between Zuko's burnt face and Amon's? the voice actor originally said he would be playing a role with something relevant or similar, or that they would be in some way related.

The Bender games remind me of Pokemon. Especially when that announcer came in through the ground with his arm raised, finger pointing to the ceiling.

It's definitely possible. The spirits don't seem to be on any one particular side. They're not a hive mind, they're all different, and I can definitley see some deciding to work against the avatar, especially if they're evil spirits.

But I think it's seriously more likely that he's just spewing BS to get people to think he's justified by the spirits.

Tarlok is the representative of some council of benders. He represents the water tribes. He's also a manipulative ass.

And yes, I saw them! Sokka looks manly, Toph in her metalbender uniform, and Aang's beard. Where's Katara, though?

I have a REALLY bad feeling about Hiroshi Sato. He has to be involved with the Equalists somehow. Asami, I'm not sure about yet.

But they're both being too nice and generous for my liking...

Also, Tarlock's dreadlocks are awesome.

So if I'm understanding this right the Water Tribes get two representatives? How is that fair?
