[TV] Favorite TV Shows

Was wondering what kinds of television shows people like? Show's currently on, shows that were recently cancelled, sitcoms, old cartoons, reality, etc....I'll get us started.

(Reality) - My most favorite show is Survivor. Not quite sure what it is about Survivor that I like, but for some reason I'm drawn to it. Can't wait til the new season in September. Same goes for American Idol.

(Sitcoms) - I watch Nick @ Night before going to bed, and most likely the show that is on is George Lopez. I've gotten into liking this show. George is the man! Other's on Nick @ Night is "Fresh Prince of Bel Air", "Home Improvement", and "Family Matters"

(Recent Shows) - Criminal Minds. I love to watch this show. Right now I'm trying to catch up on the older shows before beginning the new shows. I'm a Christian, so before "Touched By An Angel" got cancelled, I loved it.

(Cartoons) - LOVE the old Scooby Doo shows. Scooby is just great, even in my adulthood. Looney Tunes are always a classic. Tom and Jerry, the Flinstones. I love the old school stuff.

My Favourite shows recently would be American Dad, Family Guy, Scrubs and South Park. I am a big fan of the 90's cartoons, the ones today cannot compete.

I love Wipeout.

I also like No Ordinary Family.
I watch Glee a little bit.
I love House.
I looooove Warehouse 13 <3
And my cousin got me into watching Teen Wolf.

I like House as a whole but that it isn't surprising considering I like the kind of humor. If he didn't insult everyone the show would be terrible.

You mean you 'liked' No Ordinary Family. Cancellations, Huzzah!

The Walking Dead was good (hoping it doesn't proceed to be anything like the source material, good as it was, it was very angering.)

Criminal Minds isn't bad but I may be biased in that I'm enjoying a lot of things I didn't before if only because they're different from re-runs of Seinfeld and other shows I've watched too damn much.

Older Scooby Doo and Looney Tunes was always good. I can still watch them today if I so choose but recently of Scooby Doo all I've seen is some kind of mockery where it features half the cast doing really stupid detective work while wearing trench coats.

Also yes, Fresh Prince of Bel-air is where it's at.

The X-Files is my all time favourite, have been a big fan since I was only eight or so. My rents gave me the point and click game, my aunt gave me the trivia boardgame, have the entire series on dvd and my boyfriend and his ex gave me the (really bad) PS2 game as a joke gift. Am waiting for it to be out on blu-ray.

Just sat through the BBC Sherlock series. That was bloody awesome. Benedict Cumberbatch totally sounds like Alan Rickman which is a massive bonus.

Futurama, Invader Zim and Cowboy bebop are also favourites. I'd say Bones as well, but I only really like it for the natural banter between Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz. Game of Thrones is definitely up there as well, but I thought Sherlock was short and sweet as far as recent shows go. Even if the episodes are 90 minutes long.

I like Criminal Minds and King of Queens. Those are the two main shows that I watch. Others really can't be classified as "favourites".

Only TV show I watch is House, M.D. I started watching it about mid-way through season 3 and absolutely fell in love.

The Shield and The Wire are the two greatest shows to ever be on TV. Both offer different experiences, so if I'm in the mood for a slow burn the Wire is where its at, if I want a faster and more fun show the Shield is where I turn. I've probably gone through the Shield 4 times, the only show I didn't regret buying on DVD, I got more than my money's worth.

My favorite show is South Park...sometimes. Older episodes mostly.
I grew up with the Simpsons, love that show too. And I'll always love old nickelodean shows.

Also, I like the travel channel and sometimes the food channel. Not any specific shows, they're just channels I go to.

When I watch television, I usually watch:

Jerry Springer- because I love a good brawl.
Crime Inc.
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
The Nanny
George Lopez
Maybe a documentary or two.

I generally don't pick favorites.

My Name is Earl. At first I wasn't sure about giving it a chance, but I went for it. Only show I've seen that's ever made me laugh.

Reality? Not many. But i do love the Dog Whisperer. And various other National Geographic shows about..whatever. Through The Wormhole with Morgan Freeman is great too. And that show with Dr Kaku!!

Sitcoms? I dont watch those anymore...

Recent shows? Ehh...Not many again. I dont really watch a lot of television. My mum is a fan of the Ghost Whisperer....

Cartoons? I really liked Invader ZIM and Avatar the Last Airbender. Also My Little Pony Friendship is Magic.

Misc shows: BBC's Poirot! I LOVE IT!!!! I also miss Cadfael. God i loved that one. (With Derek Jacobi!) It used to air on PBS some time ago. Miss Marple is also good. I need to check out the BBC Sherlock. I want to get more into Dr. Who but i never get the chance.

I actually quite disliked (the incredibly short) second season of Invader Zim. Everyone just screamed their lines, and a lot of the wit and charm from the first was missing. The Frycook episode was great, however. I think that was season 2.

The music was so awesome.

And yeah, just hazarding a guess here, if you like Snape, then you'll perhaps like Benedict Cumberbatch's portrayal of Sherlock Holmes. I also need to check out Dr Who.

but really i hardly ever watch tv and when i do it is usually those things

My current favorite show is probably It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. I'm a sucker for its twisted sense of humor, and Charlie Day pretty much steals the show for me.

Regular Show is probably the most recent show that I like. I was initially pretty fascinated with how much stuff they managed to get past the radar, and it grew on me from there.

That's about the extent of it. I still like Scrubs, The Office, and My Name is Earl, but I don't watch them (as) avidly. I'd probably watch The X-Files if someone would be so kind as to start airing reruns again.

(Reality) - I hate reality television and I think it is the worst television genre.

(Sitcom) - Seinfeld is my favorite.

(New Shows) - What is considered new?

(Cartoons) - I watch a lot of cartoons: Adventure Time, Regular Show, Ren and Stimpy, the classic Looney Tunes, Spongebob, etc.

I don't really watch tv. The little I see of tv shows, I watch on dvd or something similar.

And of course the ones with David Attenborough and such.

My favourite show all time has been since I fist watched it the sadly short lived series Firefly.

Other than that I have enjoyed Game of Thrones and will be reading the books when I have the free time because of it.

South Park is also a fantastic series that I feel has just become better over the years.

Futurama also deserves a worthy note and is something I can watch again and again without ever getting bored

There are plenty more that I find fantastic moving from history/ documentaries to action and comedy but those are the ones at the forefront of my mind.

I don't watch a lot of TV (I prefer being on the computer or watching anime), but these are the shows I like:

- Seinfeld (I've seen every episode countless times and I still don't get tired of it, lol)
- Sex and the City (same as with Seinfeld, I see the episodes over and over and still love it!)
- All in the Family
- King of Queens
- Laverne & Shirley
- South Park
- Medium (sad that the series ended :( )
- Roseanne
- Family Guy
- Dr. Who

I also watch the Independent Film Channel (IFC) and Sundance channel a lot. Actually, those are usually the first channels I check when I watch TV because I love their movies. ^__^

Wait. No Ordinary Family was cancelled? I thought the season ended... It's not coming back? :'(
