[TV] Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire)

A Storm Of Swords if by the far the best book in the series, bar nones, and a few of the others (A Clash Of Kings, A Dance With Dragons) are as good or better depending on who you ask. I can hardly wait until they get to season three, it's going to be bawss and those who haven't read the books will rage even more then when Eddard Kicked the bukkit

I read the book quite a while ago when it first came out and its sequels are pretty decent too. Out of any fantasy world type book (in the LotR-fashion), I find this to be the most original at it's base structure.

The show is also very awesome. It is currently almost the end of season 1, and it is just making my year. It is on HBO unfortunately, so not everyone can see it (who am I kidding, ZU is full of pirates and almost all episodes are On-Demand as well). Not sure about netflix though.

Either way, it is plain awesome. I would also recommend the board game that came out after the book as well. It is quite a fun one and can get very cutthroat and complex.

Any other fans out there?

Have you read the last book? I'm currently wondering whether or not six more years will pass until the next one comes out.

Major spoiler from book 5:
And now Martin has murdered Snow as well. I'm very fond of the Starks, so it's not always easy reading these books. I'm looking forward to reading more from Tyrion's point of view.

All you guys who haven't read the books. You're in for a treat when Davos and Stannis show up. Love them.

I'm not reading anything past the first book until the next season airs.

There was a bit much in the trailer, so I'm at a loss when it comes to what to comment on. I think John Snow is one of the persons I'm looking forward to follow

Does anyone know if this season is supposed to only cover season 2? There was one scene that I associate more with the third book, but I may have misunderstood. It was a lot of glimpses after all.

Video quality is poor and I can't make out who Littlefinger is talking to at the start of the trailer. Is that somebody new or can I just not make out the face?

I haven't read past the first book yet, but from what I've read the second season roughly corresponds to the story in the second book, though I'm sure they may beg, borrow and steal parts from the others as necessary.

Third, and potentially last, trailer before season two! This one has modern pop music in it, but that's cool because it's Florence + the Machine.
