It's not
technically dubstub, but then neither are Skrillex or Rusko. There's more energy, way more wobble, and they're not nearly as complex as Mala, Digital Mystics, Benga, etc...
I've heard it called 'brostep', but I think that's far too condescending. It may not be 'pure', but it's sort of the 'pop' of the genre.
That said, stuff like Cookie Monsta and Mt. Eden... I can't stand. It's just so boring. Cookie Monsta is just a simple drum track with random wobble thrown on top, and Mt. Eden just sounds so tacked together, like they build the entire track as, more or less an electronica influenced pop song, and then throw wobble on top so they can call it "dubstep".
