Re: Movie Chit-Chat Thread I: Edward Doodle Hands

Pixar announced the two movies that will follow Monsters University.

Neither have titles, but one will be about dinosaurs and what would have happened if the asteroid hadn't wiped them out. The other is "The Untitled Pixar Movie That Takes You Inside The Mind."

Re: Movie Chit-Chat Thread I: Edward Doodle Hands

Both don't sound bad, I like the sound of the first one though, probably because of my weakness to dinos

Anyway I saw again Babe 2 the other day, forgot how depressing the movie was :/

I'm watching Toy Story again for the first time in years. There are so many jokes that I didn't know they were making back when I used to watch it as a kid.

I tell ya- Pixar movies are great. Nothing does a better job at making you feel like your not dead inside.

Re: Movie Chit-Chat Thread I: Edward Doodle Hands

Tangled wasn't Pixar. :0

and you could tell. it was a solidly good Disney title, nostalgic in a lot of ways, but, unlike most Pixar movies, brings nothing new to the table.

that's not to say I wouldn't highly recommend it. I would. it was adorable and heartwarming in every way possible.

I really enjoyed Tangled, way more than I was expecting. I'd argue that it's visual style and animation was fairly unique at the time it came out. They really managed to make it look and feel very reminiscent of classic Disney animation despite being CGI.

Although, I don't really think the style was 'unique'.

Re: Movie Chit-Chat Thread I: Edward Doodle Hands

Ever since Monster's Inc Pixar has always alluded at their next film in the closest previous film. Like, Nemo in Monster's Inc. Mr Incredible in Finding Nemo. Doc Hudson in The Incredibles, etc. So it makes me wonder how Brave will allude to it, seeing how the settings are completely different.

Re: Movie Chit-Chat Thread I: Edward Doodle Hands

So I saw Don't Be Afraid of the Dark today and I sort of enjoyed it. I thought the story was pretty good and it had a very creepy aura around the movie the whole time. Sort of reminded me of Lovecraft's Rats in the Walls in a way.

Re: Movie Chit-Chat Thread I: Edward Doodle Hands

I literally always enjoy movies so I may not be the best to ask. I didn't know anything about it beforehand except "People move into house and supernatural ♥♥♥♥ is happening" and was quite pleased.

I don't think you'll leave the theater going "That was an amazing movie, gonna have to go home and like it on facebook and tell my best friend it was so sick" but you should think "Man, that was pretty cool."

Re: Movie Chit-Chat Thread I: Edward Doodle Hands

I just watched Spirited Away for the first time in several years. For the tenth time, it's left me the most horrible and beautiful feeling in the world. Ugh, pure nostalgia. It's like if I was reliving each of my dreams.
