I don't know why I hadn't made this thread earlier. This is a film I watched recently, though I had been following it closely since it came out. Since I had trouble finding this film earlier, I gave up and recently got the opportunity to purchase it.
Waltz with Bashir, simply put, is now one of my favorite films of all time. The animation, the approach of the story, music, and every single thing this movie has to offer made me love it so much. To say the least, this film was nominated for an Academy Award and won a Golden Globe for best foreign language film.
For those who have watched it, discuss your take on this film. For those who have yet to watch it, I highly, highly recommend this movie. If you're undecided on what movie to buy or rent, this is it.
I've not seen the movie, but I do own the graphic novel, which I enjoyed (though I found it rather too disjointed at times. It seemed to be jumping from striking scene to striking scene without actually having anything in between.)

I read that the graphic novel came out after the film, and I'm interested enough to take a look at it. The film may actually be just as disjointed and is one of those you need to watch more than once to understand it more, in my opinion. Still, it's an enjoyable enough film to watch over and over again.
