Code Geass Season 3 Announced!

Hey everyone!

I was told by BigGoronSword to start a new thread, instead of necro-ing a pretty old one. So! Season 3 of Code Geass has been announced:

Alot of people had theories saying there wouldn't be another series, and alot of people continued to hope there would be. Now! There's going to be a season 3 finally, whaddya all think?! Remake? Alternate Universe? Continuation from where R2 left off? Post your thoughts!

well thats good to know , i'm a fan of that show but never really complained about wanting a season 3, but now i excited see

I am greatly excited about this but it kinda changes my final thoughts on the show. I thought that Codes Geass had the best ending I had ever seen but now that is ruined so I hope they really don't mess anything up in season three.

I think the article in the link is jumping to conclusions about this being a new season. The website said it was a new Project for Code Geass and it would be a "rebirth". This could just as well mean that they are going to make Code Geass Movies or an OVA based on the show instead of a continuation.

It's actually fairly common for anime franchises to release something like that for a series. Gurren Lagann, Raxephon, Escaflowne, Eureka Seven, X. All of these shows later had movies released that were either a faithful remake or a re-imagining, or a mix of both but not a continuation to the plot line. Hell even Trigun is release a movie with a new storyline. So "rebirth" could actually be a reference to that.

On the other hand, given the way R2 ended, there's nothing that would preclude the term "rebirth" referring to third season to the already existing plotline. But it's still jumping to conclusions.

Maybe something like the rebirth of Lelouche. If everyone remembers the first episode of Code Geass was named the day the Devil was Born, and the first episode of R2 was, The a Demon Awakens.

Oh the irony. I asked dismatikz to create a new thread so it would not revive the old one, and yet I find another new member who does it to dismatikz's thread (which is now over a month old, and is considered "dead").

If you want to create a new thread about Code Geass, feel free to do so. If you can keep the conversations flowing and interesting (as well as not have spammy posts) then it won't be locked in the first place (as long as those flowing conversations keep at it).
