Which is why I just posted a list, its much easier then way than just limiting it to a few songs.

Because by our personal taste in music, Metallica sounds good. Same goes for One, though I don't like the song as much as most other people in this thread.

But I want to know. Why all the love? What really sets them apart? Because I can't find it.

I don't really know. I just like them. I like James' vocals, Kirk's guitar and Lars' drumming. You put that all together, and you got music i'm going to like. I'm not much of a bass guy though.

Lars IS a hell of a drummer.

Rob is pretty good on bass as well, as far as I can tell he is able to play Cliff's and Jason's parts without any problems at all.

As far as why so many people like one, its one of their most popular songs. A lot of people who don't care for them love the song just because of how good it is. It also might be because it was in a Guitar Hero game so its one of the few songs they may know.

I personally like the emotion the beginning of the song has. Starting off slow, in despair and turning into rage at the end, I like the build up it has.
