The Dome - Unison

Okay, this thread will be for any goings on in the Dome that you wish to write about. It will be like the spare time grounds, if you will, only it will be more big. Teachers and students are all encouraged to write here, as it will be like a fun RPA (role playing adventure). Now, basically, there aren't many rules, but I'll do my best to jot them down.

- First off, all posts should have as much work put into them as you can possibly put into them by proportion of size. If a post is small, make it great. If a post is bigger, make it great, but more spaced out.

- Do not clutter this thread with OoC posts. Attaching an OoC note to a post is fine, but an post without a IC post will be deleted. Any question can be asked to me or any other participating council member via PM.

- READ EVERY POST! Even if you only browse lightly, you have to know what's going on. Figure out what is happening before you make a post. Unless your character is completely cut off from everyone else, then you have to keep up to date.

- Note that the Dome is HUGE. It crosses over all of existence. It has thousands upon thousands of inhabitants. Thus, your character does not only have to interact with the characters of other members. Make some up, if you feel like it.

Now, we can begin.

OoC: Woa, freaky, I was just getting ideas for a thread directly involving the Dome...

BiC:

Tuariv pulled the white hot chunk of metal out of the oven, using prongs he brought it over to an anvil and brought a hammer down upon the burning sword. This created sparks that flew out in every direction like a small light show. It was now perfectly straight so the lizard dipped the sword into a pool of water and wiped his forehead from the heat.

"Finished, gotta keep my weapon fit as a fiddle." He said to himself.

He looked up to a nearby clock, it read 10:00 AM. Leaving his claymore in a pool of water to cool he left for one of the Domes public kitchens for some brunch because it was to late for traditional breakfast and to early for lunch.

As Tuariv walked along the hallways he didn't feel much like an outcast as he would in the real world, there were other beastial warriors like himself and people had become acustomed to it here, besides the newer fighters of course.

The scent of an omlet bar filled many hallways, along with other goodies such as pancakes and fresh baked muffins. The smells filled Tuarivs nostrils, because of his stronger senses he got even more hungry.

He grabbed a plate and went at it, taking lots and lots of different foods, some that would surely have been from another planet because of its disgustingly foul tastes.

After piling up the plate with food Tuariv grabbed himself a seat and dug into his meal...

OoC: I hope that is the kind of begining post that was expected.

"Pig," muttered a voice from behind him. Tuariv turned, his face stuffed with food, to see that his eternal rival was standing behind him. The Encorna's massive frame took a seat next to the lizard, careful of a new sword that was hanging from his shoulder.

"Not you," Tuariv groaned through his mouth, pigging out in the food area was not something he had planned to do with Kenjin the same room. "Do you even eat?"

"Not really," Kenjin answered, revealing a tankard of ale in his right hand. "I do however like the taste of a cool mug of ale in the morning, when I can be bothered to leave my room. I can't get drunk."

The Encorna finished the massive quantity of beer swiftly, chugging it down like a pro. After finishing, he turned with a grin to Tuariv.

"Tuariv, if you have some time, come with me to my room," he muttered. "I have something in there that might be of use to you, if you would like some extra power." Good time to try and test that theory I had, might as well help out Tuariv if I can, he thought, as Tuariv ate his food, now with less food slinging between bites.

OoC: You two are very odd. Food is the first thing you think of? JK.

BiC: Kichaa stood with a book in one hand, the other keeping his place on the runes he had recently started reading. The book in his hand was a large, leatherbound book that translated the ancient tongue, the language written on the marble walls. Kichaa had discovered a few days ago that the writings on the wall detailed the old styles, as well as the method in which one could train themselves in them

Stepping back from the wall, Kichaa set the book down on the green, velvet-like floor and began taking advantage of his surprisingly large room. Step left, strike down... he began to repeat in his mind, concentrating on a single strike at a time, then moving on to the next.

Within a half hour of training Kichaa realized why the Ancient Masters were called masters. To not only master these styles, but to invent them would take a level of fitness that Kichaa was nowhere near, as was obvious from the sweat dripping down his body.

"I need water," he said breathlessly, sheating his sword and already heading out the door of his room. He couldn't even imagine what the two large warriors that passed him on his way to the kitchen thought of him, but they didn't seem to notice him much. He found a pitcher of cold water and a goblet, pouring himself an abundant quantity before sitting down at the table, slightly sad that the others had left. He could use the company.

Essence walked in the room. The scent of food filled her nose. She walked to the table and got a small amount of food. She walked away from the groups who tlked and sat alone. Trying to ignore the people eyeballing her, she ate slowly. A man was sitting near, but did not care about the company.

Damnit, Tuariv thought to himself, he would've prefered to have his claymore with him. He wasn't vulnerable at all without it, just a preferance. [i]If this is what it takes.... so be it... but I just feel I must do something else... like I've got to train...

"I accept, but let it be known... we are still rivals, and I will become unfathomably stronger than you."

"Again with that? And chew with your mouth closed."

Tuariv turned his head back away from Kenjin, "I truly couldn't care less ab-... damnit."

"What is it?" Kenjin asked.

"Ugh, Tuariv, that's so gross. Chew with your mouth closed!" Came a familiar voice.

"Damnit." Tuariv groaned again.

"Will you stop saying that?!" Kenjin said quite loudly.

"Essence, good to see you again," Kenjin replied, turning around to see the fire weilder. "I believe you know Tuariv?" She nodded, looking down on the lizard. "As soon as Tuariv is finished cleaning the kitchen out of all the food, we were heading for my room."

"Let's just go," Tuariv muttered, finishing the food on his plate, and bolting from the room. With a gleam in his eye, Kenjin followed, winking towards Essence before departing.

The lizard ran, but was soon outmatched by the Encorna, who caught up with him in short time. The lizard stopped running after Kenjin made it to where he was, and consented to follow the enigment being up the stairs.

"Your sword is a Claymore, correct?" Kenjin asked, as they neared the door to his room. The massive iron door stood silent as the two fighters approached it.

"You already know that," Tuariv retorted, as Kenjin opened the great door for them.

"You are recieving a great honor, few people ever go into my room," Kenjin laughed, as the lizard made his way into the dojo that was Kenjin's room. "In fact, only two people have ever seen the inside of it, besides you."

Weapons of all kinds were on the walls, everything that had ever been designed was there. Whips, swords, spears, everything. "Impressive," Tuariv muttered, noticing a Claymore on the wall.

"You have no idea," his rival grinned. In his hands was a small crystal. "Do you really want this?"

"I already said I would, get it over with," Tuariv grumbled, he hated it when Kenjin got all mystic on him. "This had better be worth my while."

"Oh, it is," Kenjin said. "This is a very special crystal that creates a new power for you to use. I just need a moment to charge the energy."

The Encorna focused again, drawing the Goddess power he had within him. The air vibrated with power as the force charged within him.

GOD'S CRY FORM!!

A force the size of a small bomb emerged from the Encorna as Kenjin's eyes turned a light shade of blue. An aura was also formed, colored the same. Tuariv shielded himself against what felt like a blast of ultimate energy.

The Encorna looked up. "I cannot hold this form for long, we must hurry," he muttered, his voice echoing off the walls. "Hold out your claw," he ordered, holding out the crystal, which was blazing with power.

Tuariv did, and touched the piece with his claw. It glowed, then grew.

OoC: You can decide the weapon, but I think I can take a guess at what it will be. Note that like Kenjin's sword, your weapon will be just like the Thenatos is.

OoC: Hey, this sounds like fun.

BiC:

Kai laid lazily on her bed, ontop of the wolf fur blanket that tickled the back of her neck. She wiggled her feet absentmindedly, absorbed in boredom. The form of a blue cat, Cobalt jumped on the bed with her. He had grow rapidly, reaching a height of three feet in only a month and a half. "What's up?" the dragoon asked her cat. He nuzzled her back, trying to push her up. "Okay, okay," she sat up and petted her friend. He gave a content meow and started purring. Kai sighed, she had no idea of what to do and was starting to go crazy in her room. Then the female turned to Cobalt with a smile. "Hey, how would you like to explore the Dome with me? You've only seen this room and the forest."

"Merrowl!" was his happy reply. His nine tails whipped in excitement. The cat leaped off the bed and ran circles in front of the door.

"I'll take that as a yes," she responed happily. Kai belted her scimitar's sheath and opened her room's door into the Dome, Cobalt happily running out. After a bit of wandering, the pair found themselves at the cafeteria's swinging doors. The dragoon wasn't too interested in going in but the cat had other ideas. He charged through the doors and started running around the room. "Ah! Cobalt! Come back!" she cried at him. Kai ran in to find the blue feline sitting calmly by a man in black pants and a chain-mail shirt. He was rubbing Cobalt's head, who was definitely enjoying that.

He looked up as Kai approached, "I take it this is your pet?" Cobalt gave an irritated growl.

"My friend. His name is Cobalt." Then she held out her hand, "And I'm Kai Chosen."

He only delayed a second before shaking her hand, "I am Kichaa Mesoa."

A sudden weight was forced upon Tuarivs hand, his sight was blinded, he couldn't see anything. He only felt a weight from whatever it was that Kenjin had handed him. This must be a trap! Tuariv attempted to open his mouth to speak but suddenly he was able to see, it was very much blurred, but the lizard could make out a few things.

"We're going to finish it here aren't we?" A voice called out.

Tuariv was about to speak but heard his own voice, "I changed in unfathomable ways friend, and even you can't deny it any longer. All those times I said the same thing... this time you know it to be true, all those years, I seemed to have just disappeared off the face of the planet didn't I?..."

That was all before Kenjins voice came once again, closer. "Hello? Lizard-boy? You there?"

Tuariv blinked, he was in Kenjins quarters, "Huh? Uhh, yeah what is it?"

Kenjin sensed Tuariv had felt or seen something he shouldn't have, he'd hold off for now though, "Well what do you think?"

Tuariv remembered what he had been doing, and then remembered the immense weight on his hand. Looking down he found a weapon, another claymore, this one significantly more extravagant than the Leviathan. Embeded with many jewels that swirled with sparkling color.

The hulking warrior moved it around a bit, finding a lot of resistants and weight where ever he moved it. "Why is it so heavy?"

Kenjins eyes widened, how is he doing that? "That's your new training weapon, a gift from me."

"Training weapon?" Tuariv asked, dropping the blade from the weight. It clattered to the ground, while Kenjin laughed.

"Thank you Tuariv, you have given me an excellent lesson. Now I understand that crystal's full power." He reached up, and with some difficulty, removed the crystal sword of his own. "These things are very powerful." He offered it to Tuariv, who took it into his claws. Kenjin did likewise with the massive Claymore that Tuariv's crystal had created.

"This one isn't as heavy, like a normal sword," the lizard muttered, swinging it.

"You're almost right, but not quite," Kenjin answered. "These swords seem to react only to their owners. They are charged with a negative energy I still have to completely figure out, but it creates power the exact opposite of your own, that's why I can hold yours and vise versa."

He twirled the Claymore, and shut it into a black sheath, before handing it to the lizard. Tuariv took it gently, but discovered that while inside the sheath, while he was not touching it, he was fine. Tuariv likewise gave the crystal sword back to Kenjin, who clasped it into the sheath before it could hurt him.

"On the hilt of the sword you have is a crystal ball. In it is a pool of darkness. When I created mine, it was completely black. Now it is a little brighter, though not much to make a difference."

Tuariv could feel the vibrations coming from the sword, powerful and almost nauseating.

"Have fun with your training partner," Kenjin laughed, feeling the hilt of Thenatos as Tuariv left his room, the crystal Claymore in his claws.

"Hmmm...." thought Gorin. The echo's return to the Dome was still a secret from most. The Oblivion Master didn't want many people to know anyways.

A libarian looked over to Gorin. He had made an odd request upon entering the library. He wanted to read a book on several theories of what lied beyond the grave. He would chuckle now and then before turning the pages.

The source for the echo's amusement was the tortures depicted in graphic detail. None of them could compare to what Gorin had suffered in Echo Side, but they were amusing nontheless.

"Toenails torn off and lodged into the victim's pupils?" thought Gorin. He was having so much fun that he didn't mind the nosy librarian. She continually looked over his shoulder to see what he was reading, sometimes making a disgusted noise.

She eventually decided that whatever Gorin was looking up was none of her business, and went back to sorting books. Once she was out of sight the Oblivion Master pulle out what he had intended to read.

It was one of Grasthos' notes. He established a portal to the late Grasthos' lab in his room so that he could continue unravelling the secrets of his deceased foe's last activities. This particular notebook was the most interesting one yet.

Notebook number sixty six, entry seventeen...
I have found a new form of energy. It is created by tainting an element. The result is an entirely new element, which mutates the body and soul. I have found that inducing small amounts usually causes death in my test subjects, while large amounts cause mutations.

The mutations are incredibly powerful, but have shown no signs of obediance. I terminated all but three of them. The three survivors will be placed in the safe with my notes. None of them need food nor drink, or even air for that matter.

Gorin was almost done reading this when he smelled something odd. It seemed that a creature had escaped one of the many training rooms, and was heading for the library.

Its scent was followed by the smell of another warrior, a newcomer to the Dome. The creature was a rhino demon, a species that Gorin frequently hunted back in his days as the God of Wrath.

Within seconds the rhino demon made it to the library. Its red eyes pulsed with anger when it noticed the many bookshelves in its way. Rhino demons hated having to plow their way through things to get anywhere, and this one was no exception.

By now the warrior had made it to the library, and commenced battle with the rhino demon. Gorin decided not to interfere.

"I shouldn't mess with somebody else's assignment, although I'll help if it gets out of hand." thought the echo.

As Kichaa sat back in his chair enjoying his water immensely, a small furry animal ran up and leapt onto the table near his water glass. Kichaa reached towards the animal and began rubbing its head slowly, which it really seemed to enjoy. The animal was soft but a winged woman ran into the woman seconds later, obviously looking for the animal.

“I take it this is your pet?” he asked her, wondering at her answer.

“My friend. His name’s Cobalt,” she said before sticking out her hand and adding, “And I’m Kai Chosen.”

Hesitating slightly before taking the young woman’s hand, Kichaa replied, “I am Kichaa Mesoa.”

The woman joined him at the table, so Kichaa took the liberty of continuing the petting session that the cat was currently enjoying. “So, what brings you to the Dome?” he asked conversationally before taking a large drink of his water.

“Nothing really, how about you?” she replied, making Kichaa wonder what she wouldn’t tell him.

“I’m studying some sword styles,” he paused before leaning forward and continuing quietly, “They’re really ancient. I found a book that translates the old language written on my room’s walls. They’re way beyond me right now… I need exercise.”

This last statement ended with a small chuckle as he prepared to answer any questions she would have about his new training.

Valion stirred from his prayer. He had been there since dawn, praying for forgiveness, as he did every week, hoping that he would be forgiven for his sins. After a few more minutes Valion stood up, made the sign of the cross and left. He made his way back to his room, nodding at his few friends as they went past. After a few minutes he made it back to his room, as he closed the door he heard the sounds of a women and something else go past. He lay down on his bed, and picked up the book on his bedside table named The Holy right of passage for the young angel, and picked up where he had left off. After a few minutes, another sound occurred, this time it sounded like a much bigger animal.

“Better go check it out” Valion muttered to himself, grabbing his sword from its resting place and heading back out the door. If he had heard it a week earlier when had arrived, he would have dismissed it, but since then he had learned that noises usually resulted in trouble, and it could interfere with his reading.

More crashes, this time louder, and they lead Valion to the massive library. In the entrance was a warrior, obviously unconscious, and a few feet away was the animal that had been making the sound, a rhino demon, attacking an another warrior, who was not even phased by the attack. He simply moved out of the way, and the rhino crashed straight into a bookshelf.

“Do you need any help?” Valion asked the man.

“Not really, but your welcome to help” he replied.

Valion slashed the rhino demon's thigh. The beast was damaged greatly by the holy blade, and changed its target to the cyber angel.

Gorin was checking the comatose warrior's vital signs to see if they were still alive. Once he was sure that the warrior was alive Gorin picked them up. He placed the warrior out in the hall.

"No need to have them be mauled to death in their sleep." thought Gorin. The Oblivion Master returned to the library to see how Valion was doing.

The cyber angel was dodging the rhino demon's charges while countering with his blade. The demon was growing more and more agitated, and began to spew fire from its mouth.
Valion dodged the fire and finished the demon off with a blow to the head.

Gorin clapped his hands as he circled the demon. "Nicely done. A little sloppy on the counterattacks though." he said.

"The job was completed though, not the way I'd go about it, but only a few are as strong as me." A voice entered the library.

"With your attitude I'm surprised you aren't dead yet." gorin said without turning his head to the direction the voice had come from.

"You can't kill the mighty, otherwise I would be dead." The voice said in a lower tone.

The owner of the voice entered the library, a tall lizard humanoid, it was Tuariv. He now carried two weapons in a criss-crossed manner behind his back. "Hello Valion."

"Hello." The angelic fighter replied.

"Ah so you two have met." Gorin smiled.

"Yeah, nothing much though." Tuariv said in an even lower tone.

The half angel was following the map she had found after her first lesson. She wanted to get familiar with this place before something bad happened. Her eyes looked over the map once more when she was caught by surprise.

"A library?!" she shouted.

Maybe I can find information about this place and the Seasons!, she thought as she followed the map with incredible speed. The half angel turned left, right and passed the dangerous snow room. She reached an old door like that of an ancient castle. It was large and made of stone. It seemed that the ring was to be used to open it and so she would have if it wasn't already open.

A rhino lay dead with a bookcase or two on the ground. There was someone wearing black clothes and black skin. Black hair flowed from onto his shoulders. Next to him was a man who had a body that was half human and half... something else. Beyond them was a lizard-like creature with a sword. She went into the library out of such shock.

It still amazed her about the other two. Her sheath was glowing white, which showed that there was some type of holy magic in the area.

"W... who are you all and what happened?!" she shouted.
"Shhh!" the librarian said quietly.

OoC: Thanks. Seems I missed that fact. I block sigs, so I had to search for everything.

BIC: Gorin smiled.

"It seems that a rhino demon escaped. It knocked out the warrior that was chasing it, and was quickly dispatched by this fellow." the echo replied. He cocked his head towards Valion as he said the last bit.

Tuariv snorted. "Anyways, why have you returned to the Dome?" he asked. The last time the two of them had met was during a battle between three members of the Oblivion Alliance and three of Kenjin's knights.

"I learned something from an old foe that I'm trying to make sense of." replied Gorin. The Oblivion Master sat down on one of the nearby chairs. He could here the comatose warrior waking up.

"Look who finally decided to come back to the world of the consious." mocked Gorin.

Kai chuckled at Kichaa's remark, it was good to find another human with a sense of humor. But his mention about ancient swords styles perked her attention and was interested in knowing more. "I hope it's not to nosy, but, what kind of sword styles are they?" she asked him.

"The basic ones, if you want to call them that, are attacks and blocks. But they're harder than some of the more advanced ones I've tried," he whispered to her. The Hylian obviously wasn't interested in anyone else knowing about the styles or the book. "Speaking of sword styles, I see you have a sword of your own. What kind is it?"

The dragoon looked down at her belt, "Oh, this? It's a scimitar." She unsheathed her weapon and showed it to Kichaa. The iron blade was slightly curved, used for more slashing than stabbing. It also had a small Amythest lodged in the middle, which itself stored lightning magic, and the golden hilt was plain looking. "I'm not too bad with it, though, I could still use some work."

Kichaa was still petting Cobalt, who was purring contently, and wondered, "Who taught you how to fight?"

Kai sat there for a second, not sure if she wanted to tell him. What harm could it do? she asked herself. "I was taught by my mother and father."

He gazed up absentmindedly, "Yes, my father taught me, also."

Kenjin stood alone in his room, perfecting the art he was alone to control.

"Din's Power!" he shouted, as the force radiated from him. His hair transformed, turning from the wild, shadowy black to flaming red as a brushfire. Feeling new power rush through him, he gripped the sword on his back, the crystal sword burning furiously against Kenjin.

The training doll reformed into Tuariv as Kenjin strained even with the added power to attack, parrying with difficulty. The sword was unwilling, fighting Kenjin's power.

"Farore's Courage!" he roared, feeling the flow of power. The uniform he wore turned deep jade as he attacked with the added strength. The Tuariv doll changed tactics, swerving around him. The crystal sword moved again, to block the blow. But even with the added strength, the sword itself changed to add its own strength against Kenjin's. The warrior continued, though his arms were jarred with the vibrations echoing from the powerful weapon.

"Nayru's Wisdom!" he shouted, straining to the very top of his power. In accordance, the sword did as well, increasing its energy to put out the power needed to still rebel. The Encorna's skin turned blue. All three powers were swimming within his body, it was time to see just how strong his sword could become.

GOD'S CRY FORM!!

All the energy returned inside the Encorna, transforming into a shining blue aura outside his body. Likewise, his eyes turned pure blue, and he roared, no longer concerned with the doll, for he had passed its powers many times over. Now he was in a battle against his sword.

"Come on Thenatos," he grinned. "You're not even trying."

As if to respond to the Encorna, the sword flashed, deepening its strength to match Kenjin's. The warrior screamed in pain as the sword intensified to match God's Cry form, but still kept at it. The sword was becoming harder and harder to control, he couldn't keep it up.

At last, the Encorna released the sword, dropping to the floor in pain. His arm was still vibrating from the sword, his mind releaved as the God's Cry form reverted to nothing, and Kenjin returned to normal.

"Well fought Thenatos," he panted, before his energy filled. "Healing Force."

As Kenjin returned to normal, he clasped the sword back into its sheath, ready to try again.
