Cronus: The Corrupting City... (anyone, any number)

OoC: This is more of a quest for my character, Deadeye. He has just arrived back into his homecity, and finds that corruption, crime and killing has engulfed the metropolis. I will be using Deadeye and Marl (Time for him to make an entrance), you guys use whoever you want, wether they be good or bad. Our job is to clean up the city, and find the source of this injustice! Or you can be the crime we must (try) to clean up!

BiC:

Deadeye gazed at his once proud hometown. It had been about five or six years since he had left, and he now returned to find it in this state. It was almost as if some laid a blanket of gloom over the rising metropolis of Cronus. Deadeye walked towards the city, holding his head low.

As he neared the city he noticed a group of thugs hassling a woman and her kids outside of a market. The man shoved the woman down and started kicking her, while the children screamed and cried. Before Deadeye could act, he heard a gunshot, and the man kicking the woman fell to the ground, dead.

"I suggest you back off of her, thats me lettin ya off easy" A rugged looking man said as he pointed his gun at another of the thugs.

"You have no idea who you just crossed! The boss of this side of the city wont let you walk away breathin when he heres of this!" The man replied.

"Then he's not gonna here of it, is he?" The man smoothly replied. He then shot both thugs, killing them both instantly. The woman slowly stood up and stepped out of the mans way. She was almost as scared of him as she was the thugs.

"For yer troubles..." The man said as he tossed the woman a pouch. Inside was at least 40 gold pieces, which was worth about 2000 Cronots. (The currency of Cronus) The woman was still frightened but calmed down. Before she could thank the man, he had already walked off....

Deadeye then chased after the mysterious man to see what his deal was. He had never seen such an act of kindness from a stranger like him before. As he neared the vigilante, the man turned quickly and held a sword to Deadeyes chest.

"Whats your business greeny?" The man asked, ready to shove the blade into Deadeye.

"You...Ive never seen anyone like you do something like that for someone!" the archer replied.

"Theres enough trouble thats been given to me and the world, least I can do is stop some of it. Who are you anyway" The man said as he lowered his blade.

"The names Deadeye, and this is my home city...I recently returned to find it in this saddened state..."

"Call me Marl, Im here to clean the corruption and crime out of this city. Since this is your hometown, and you look capable of defending yourself, will you join me? Dont take this offer lightly, I usually work alone..." Marl replied.

"Im in! Lets cleanse this city of these freaks!" Deadeye happily answered.

"Thats not a nice word to call us..." A voice said.

Marl and Deadeye turned to see a large group of men surrounding them....

OoC: Okay post what happens next!

OOC: I'll join with the blind girl, Misaki

BIC:

Misaki walked around the city, everything was full of bad things here. She felt many people with bad feelings walking around her, occastionally looking her direction. They got hopefull one minute, then when she branished her daggers and glared their way, they just scurried back in the direction they were going. She sighed and put her daggers back in her shorts. Looked like she wouldn't be able to rest here, knowing there were these thieves running around to people with money like mice would scurry to cheese.

She bumped into a wall a little, then began to walk again, rubbing the spot she had hit. Misaki then felt two people. Their emotions told her they actually didn't have any bad intentions, but good ones. Misaki began walking in the direction of those people, maybe to see if they were for real in a city like this. It was highly immpossible for one of the 'good guys' in this city, which was how Misaki described them. She began running in the direction.

Misaki hit a wall, hard. The blind girl fell to the ground, feeling one of the 'bad guys' run towards her. Misaki immediately tried to get up before he could get any closer. He stood behind her as she stood up.

"Hey, are you alright?" said the man behind her. Misaki smelled alchohol on his breath, he had been drinking a bit. She turned around.

"Yea" said Misaki sarcastically. He wrapped his hands around her, embracing her.

"Hey....would you like to come home with me?" the drunk said calmly. Misaki groaned, of all of the bad guys in the city, and she had to get the drunk pervert.

"Sorry, no" said Misaki, and she lifted her arms up, her daggers in her hands. She cut both of the man's arms. He was angry, and his mind filled with bad intentions. Misaki smirked, happy about being blind for once, she didn't have to see the details on his most-likely-discusting face.

Misaki injured his legs badly with her daggers for good measure, then walked back on her way again. Only this time she felt the 'bad guys' surround the 'good guys'. There was a lot of the 'bad guys', so Misaki hurried, trying to not run into walls again and get caught with another drunk pervert.

"Hey!" said Misaki as she arrived at the scene, she had only heard a little, but she knew what to do. Everyone looked in her direction.

"So what if you guys are freaks, don't go PMS-ing about it" said Misaki coldly. She felt every one of the 'bad guys' get angry. Misaki smirked, and got out her daggers and her arms were limp by her side.

"Shut up, you little Bit**!" yelled one of the guys as he began to run towards her. Misaki jumped into the air as the man ran under her. Misaki landed behind him and stabbed him in the legs, getting the bone a bit. The man fell down holding his legs as they bled little, but no doubt it was painful.

"That was a waste of time..." said Misaki under her breath. She felt the whole lot come at her at the sight of their fallen compainion. 'This'll be fun' thought Misaki as she began to go into the mob.

The girl jumped out of the crowd and landed right next to the two 'good guys'.

Misaki smiled at them, and ran back into the crowd, stabbing one person in the leg before going completely in.

Deadeye was shocked that another do gooder was here in his hometown! Before he left last time, he was the only vigilante in the whole city. Now there was a mysterious man and a mysterious girl helping to fight off the villains in the metropolis.

Deadeye was soon snapped out of his daydream when Marl fired his pistol at one of the thugs fixing to attack the girl, killing him instantly.

"Hey dont kill all of them we need info from them!" Deadeye said as Marl blasted another one of the men.

"Kid, just shut up and shoot!" Marl said angrily as he continued to fire at the men.

However Marl was soon surrounded by three guys, and as he went to fire at one of them, he kicked the gun out of the vigilantes hands. Marl then countered the man with a kick to the gut, while the other two readied to tackle him.

Before Marl could react, an arrow hit one of them in the arm, and Deadeye spin kicked the other one to the ground. The one that was shot in the arm pulled the arrow out and tryed to stab the archer with it, but Deadeye countered by kicking the mans wrist, and then elbowing him in the face, causing him to fall to the ground painfully.

Just as the girl was about to finish off one of the thugs, another prepared to sneak up behind her. Deadeye however quickly shot the man with an arrow, jumped into the air, dove at him and kicked him, and then backflipped off of his falling body.

Just as Deadeye landed, he noticed the girl had fought off the rest of the thugs by herself.

"That was some intense fighting for a blind person, but you could say the same thing about me" Deadeye said to the girl...

OOC: I'm entering this match with Wave... since he is neither good or Evil...kind of both. I'm not on your side, though... for every good guy, there's a bad one...

Bic: Wave was walking through a run down, evil place. As he leaped to one of the buildings, he noticed a battle taking place directly in front of him. Wondering why they were fighting, Wave cast his scan spell on the two.... when the results came in, apparently, it was your good old fashion good against evil...

A few minutes after the battle, Wave figured it was time to make his presence noted. He leaped as far as he could, right in front of the two... with his scan identified as Deadeye and... Misaki? Wave had heard about her, how, even though she's blind, she can feel emotions and fight... impressive really.

"Deadeye, I presume?" Wave asked
"Yes...how do you know?" Deadeye asked as he entered a battle stance.

"You don't need to know that." Wave said as he drew his blade.

Dead eye started the fight with a round house kick, Wave ducked and tripped the foot he didn't use to kick, sending him sprawling on the ground. "You can't beat me like that..." Wave said as he jumped back and waited for Dead eye to get up.

"Who are you?" Deadeye asked as he readied his bow.
'My name is Wave. Memorize it, Learn it, Fear it." Wave answered.

Misaki turned to Wave and aimed at him with her daggers. Right when she threw one, Wave froze it with his ice magic. Now concentrating his energies on Misaki, he ran for and slashed at her, missing barely.

"Excellent...your pretty good at dodgeing swords...how?"
"I can feel emotions..." Misaki replied as she attempted a blow at Wave, hitting him in the shin.
'Interesting..." Until next time.... Wave said as he hopped to one of the buildings, and into the shadows

OoC: Hey bladewave 13, it says in your characaters personality that he's nice...he sure doesnt sound like it. Also Deadeye is blind too (In case no one reads the characters descriptions), but he uses his mind to see, and he is immune to bright flashes, darkness, smoke bombs, any of that sort.

BiC:

Deadeye dusted himself off after the mysterious elf ran off. He was just careless that time. He was so used to fighting people without skill, he almost forgot was it was like to face someone with it. He then turned to Marl and the girl who the elf called took a paticular interst in.

"Who was that fruit cake?" Marl asked as he examined the bodies.

"Someone with an over inflated view of himself obviously," Deadeye replied.

Before Marl could reply he found one of the thugs that was still breathing. Marl lifted the man up from the ground and slammed him into a wall, glaring at him angrily. The man was terrified and struggled to break free, but it was useless.

"Okay punk, I dont have time to waste, so dont even try to waste my time! Who are you working fo!?" Marl screamed to the man.

"Like Id tell you..." The man wheezed out.

Marl then threw the man to the ground and nailed him in the gut with a hard kick. He then leaned down next to the thug and put his pistol to his head.

"Im gonna ask you one more time before I lose my patience! Who are you working for!?" Marl screamed.

The man didnt reply, but continued to lay there. Marl angrily slammed his gun across the mans head, causing him to start bleeding even more.

"This is not hard! Tell me who you work for, and I leave you alone. You dont tell me, and you become pain for this sidewalk!" Marl said angrily.

"I...I work for...a man... a man named....Ruby..he runs...this part of town..." The man managed to wheeze out.

"Much obliged Marl said" as he reholstered his gun. He then stood up and kicked the man one more time, and walked off.

"You know I can read minds right?" Deadeye asked.

"My way is much more funner," Marl replied.

He then turned to face the girl who had helped them out earlier.

"Okay missy, whats your name, and whats your story?" Marl asked calmly....

[Chari]

"Oh, I'm Misaki. I just came here about an hour ago, that's all" said Misaki calmly, thinking it was a satisfactory story for the man, "I'm also blind". She said the last part almost in a whisper. The girl looked up to the men, feeling their emotions. There wasn't anything interesting burried in all of those emotions in their heads, she just knew they had particuarly good intentions for the town, unlike most of the people. One of them was mostly frustrated, the other seemed rather calm.

The blind girl sensed somebody coming, a few people actually. She felt bad intentions from them, like with most of the others in the city. Misaki glanced in that direction, while the other two with her were talking, silent, she didn't even really know.

"Oh" said Misaki calmly, "There is a bunch of people coming over here, six at the most. They don't look like they're on our side."

From the shadows of one of the alleyways, Wave watched a group of six people appraoch Deadeye and Misaki. truth is, Wave hadn't really gone to far... he wondered why all these people had taken an intrest in these two.

One of the men spoke, "Hey, have any of you seen a blue haired elf around here?"

That actually caught Wave off guard... they were looking for him?

"Yeah, he dissapeared in that direction..." Deadeye said

Knowing that Wave still had the element off surprise, he aimed his scan spell... his name was Ryon... and he worked for some dolt named Ruby... apparantley, there was a bounty on his head.

"In that case...I don't have to play nice, STORM OF ICE!"
Wave said as the spell was cast. Hundreds of ice beams struck the men and froze their legs and arms. He dashed out and looked at everyone. "looking for me? He asked.

"You... your the one Ruby wants..." One of the men asked.

"Okay then...quiz time! Who on earth is Ruby and why is there a bounty on my head?

"Like we're telling you..." THe second man said...
"Allright...you asked for it...Oh Leviathan...time to play." Wave said as his giant dragon appeared, causing a flood in the area.

''You tell your boss this...If he wants me...tell him to come and get me..." Wave told one of the men as he let him go, leaving the rest to perish.

OoC: There are three of us actually, not two. Deadeye, Misaki, and Marl. Just lettin you know

BiC:

Deadeye couldnt bear to watch as the Leviathan devoured the men whole. Misaki on the other hand could probably sense the fear of the thugs as they were swallowed whole by the ravaging beast. Marl however merely shrugged and turned to walk away.

"You guys coming? There's nothin else to see here," Marl said as he walked further into the city.

Deadeye then read one of the man's thoughts and was baffled! Apparently "Ruby" was the code name for "Dr. Red". The one who ruined Deadeye's life about ten years ago. Deadeye was for sure the man was dead! He shot him between the eyes and left him to die in a burning building. Whatever the reason, Deadeye now had a mission to accomplish.

"I know a place where we can search for Ruby, lets check his old office," Deadeye spoke.

"Where would that be at?" Marl asked.

"Its deeper into town, right through the dangerous part. I burned the top floor down a few years ago, so maybe we will find a clue in its ruins. Or maybe Ruby fixed it up and is hiding out there now, whatever the reason we have to check it out!" Deadeye answered.

"Alright, Im in. As for you, are you coming or not?" Marl asked Misaki....

OoC:

EDIT- You guys can speak for, or control my characters, so long as you pertain to their personality. That way our posts wont be so short. (From waiting for the other person to reply to a question.) Remember Deadeye is a good guy, and tries not to kill, but will if he has too. (He's also a smartass) Marl on the other hand will kill baddies without a second though, and has a rather rash attitude. (He's a badass)

OoC: Mind if I hop in here?

BiC: Vitros quickly jumped, building to old building as he examined the streets of the town he had just come into. The town looked as evil as the people in it, but he knew that was a false statement.

The young teen quickly jumped from the building, landing in the middle of a littered street. A group of thugs quickly must have mistaken him for someone else as they all ran at him, knives withdrew. Vitros quickly poped a mint into his mouth as he breathed into the air and used ice magic to completely freeze the three men.

Laughing, Vitros approached. "I think you got me as the wrong guy morons," he said as he flicked his nose and started to walk farther down the street. Then, he saw a group of people coming from behind a building that supposingly blocked sight from where they came "from". He felt a strange presence. It was strange, but it was also familiar. He then started to walk toward the group or three.

[musical zombie.]

OoC: SUP DOODZ. I might have to go in a little while, but I'm joinin' in, by request of Hero. ;D I'ma using Fenn Tirren.

BiC: With his cloak pulled completely around him and his hood up, Fenn walked silently along the streets of the ruined city, staying in the shadows. There were strange people all about, eying him as though a dog would eye a steak. He sighed under his breath, and walked a bit faster. He was too close to use a bow, so he drew one of the knives he perpetually carried, from out of the folds of his clothing. Keeping it close in hand, he let the light glint off of it so that anyone who would be tempted to act would be warned.

His keen ears heard cries in the distance, and he ran towards the sound. Coming upon a small area, he saw a man harassing a child, for the child had some food in a small bag. The man, who was considerably large, was yelling something unintelligible at the child. Drunken fool.. Fenn thought.

Quietly walking up to the man, his put his knife to his throat, and quietly told him to get away from the child. "W-what are you doin'?!" The man's voice wavered, and as soon as he talked the stench of alcohol filled his nostrils, causing him to crinkle his nose in disgust. "Walk away from the child." He said this slowly, so the man would understand. Looking bewildered, the man stumbled away. Looking back, Fenn saw that the child had taken opportunity of this situation and ran as well.

Turning his head, almost at once he saw another fight, on one side, a mysterious girl and two men, one with a gun, and some more of those drunken thugs. Dropping to one knee, he pulled out his bow, but he saw that the fight was over. Pulling his hood swiftly up again. He started to walk towards them.

As he came upon them, one man turned around, as did the mysterious girl. Strangely, they seemed to know he was there. Pulling does his hood to expose his face, he held up his hand.

"I mean you no harm. What has ravaged this city to the point of which drunken thugs will attack women and children?"

"We don't quite know." The first man, Deadeye, spoke. "This is my home city. Who are you to question us?"

"I'm but a traveler, Fenn Tirren is the name." He did not smile, nor hold out his hand.

Along the shadows Wave walked, careful not to let anyone see him. If there really was a bounty on his head, he had to be ext remaly careful. Nearly everyone was on Ruby's side...

Except for that bunch Wave met earlier... they seemed to be the only ones that cared. Now, he was enemies of both. Shrugging, Wave switched tasks to finding this Ruby person. Following the path the thugs used to get to Wave, his scan spell found where they had walked... After a mile, it led stright to some sort of warehouse... that was typical, really.

Even for a warehouse, the place was guarded tightly, with partols in every step. Even Wave knew when he couldn't do something. But knowing he had to get the bounty of his head, he grapped his mirror and warped inside.

The inside seemed to be schored, but guardcs were repairing it, so they were to busy to see Wave. He quickly karate-chopped the guards and snatched a card key. He stided over to a door and swiped in a card key, and the door.

"Yes, what do you want?" A man said from the desk, on a chair that had his back facing Wave.

[Hero]

Deadeye could sense no deception coming from Fenn at the moment, but Marl on the other hand wasnt so thrilled.

"Okay I dont like traveling with people Im not sure of, and right now, that includes all of you. Im gonna clean the north side of this city myself, because I hate traveling in groups with people who just want to chat. Good luck with whatever you guys do," Marl said as he walked off.

"Damn...I could sense good intentions in that guy too..." Deadeye said as Marl walked down the street.

Marl wasnt a bad guy at nature, and compared to many he was a saint for all that he had been through in his time. Losing his family, being thrown forward into time due to a mistake he made, and the constant loneliness eventually would get to someone. But somehow Marl still managed to play the Hero.

"So your an archer too huh? Nice bow...." Deadeye said as he examined Fenn's bow he held in his hands.

"Anyway I have to get going to Ruby's old haunt. Or as his real name is...Dr.Red," Deadeye said as he turned to walk off.

He wasnt sure if the girl or elf would follow him, but it was there choice in this matter. As he rounded a corner he heard of the thoughts of a familiar friend. Deadeye then smiled to himself, as he saw his old friend Vitros standing at the corner.

"So we meet again so soon huh?" Deadeye said to the warrior....

The warrior stood up straight as he walked toward the archer he knew so well after all they traveled. "Well I didn't mean to meet up with you here, since all I really do is randomly travel," the teen said as he laughed inside his head.

"True, nevertheless, it's good to have you here, we could use all the help we can get," Deadeye said as he looked toward the direction he needed to go.

"Don't have to explain, Dr. Red, beat his ***, I got all I need to know from that amazing mind of yours," the warrior said winking.

Vitros then looked behind Deadeye at the three newcomers behind him. "May I ask who you all are? Always glad to see people willing to help."

[Chari]

Misaki looked towards the carefree figure in front of Deadeye. She decided to answer, since he felt good enough.

"Misaki" she said with a monotone voice. She felt a lot of people around her, if any more people were to join this little group, she might have to leave and go solo. So many emotions fluttered into her head like bees to a flower.

That's when her mind began to feel some pain from all of the emotions her head recieved as some of the 'bad guys' traced in and out of her sense. The girl let out a sigh of relief as they left her mind, those emotions weren't that great to feel herself. Yet she knew if she stayed longer, even more then a small group would come to the group she resided in for now.

"I think I may want to leave the group for now, if none of you object" spoke Misaki softly, then she began to walk away from the group. She wouldn't go that far from the small group, but it would be less painful to be right in it. The girl walked into an alleyway and she didn't feel them anymore, and a blanket of relief covered her mind as everything relaxed. She only felt herself, and only herself. It was a good break from the contact with other's she had.

"Ow..." said Misaki as she bumped into a wall, while trying to turn, thinking she was out of the alleyway. The girl held her head a little, then the pain went away, since she didn't hit it as hard as she previously had done.

"Damn walls" the blind girl mutterered under her breath. Then she felt somebody approach, one of the 'bad guys'. She felt the bad emotions flow into her again, the anger, lust, and other feelings drove into her skull. When she tried to walk further into the alleyway, she got a dead end.

"Damn it" Misaki whispered, as she turned around to face the figure, "Hello there!" Misaki grabbed her daggers and held her arms loose.

"'Ello, Missy, would you like to come with me for a moment?" asked the figure, a man. Misaki implanted a smirk on her face.

"Not a chance in hell, bast**d" said Misak happily. The man had sparked some anger in his mind, then approached her some more.

"Wrong answer" said the man, and Misaki felt him get something out of his jeans. Based on how light it was on his arm, it was either a dagger or a pocket knife. The girl ran towards the man, she jumped over the man, then stabbed him right in the middle of his spine.

"That hurt?" Misaki said mockingly as she heard the man scream. She took her dagger back out, and kicked him in the crotch. He fell to the floor in pain while Misaki chuckled.

"The weapon of choice for everyone" said Misaki playfully as she began to walk away from the man.

[musical zombie.]

"Nice bow you've got there."

He turned around and saw that Deadeye had talked about his bow. He nodded slowly. "Yes, thank you. Yours is quite nice as well." He didn't smile.

The man with the man-killer gun walked away, saying something about cleaning up the north side of the city by himself and the fact that he didn't want to travel with people who just wanted to chat. If Fenn didn't feel like talking, he would've spoken out, but he just shook his head slowly.

He watched slowly as the spiteful man with the gun, apparently named Marl, walked away, as did Deadeye. Lifting his eyes, he stared at the sky as he sighed. "What has driven this city to such hate?" He wondered. He decided that he'd go after Deadeye. Looking around nonchalantly, he went in the direction that the two men went.

Running silently, he caught up to Deadeye and put his hand on his shoulder. The surprised man looked around, ready for a fight, and when he saw Fenn he relaxed.

"Hello, Fenn. What're you doing here?"

He was silent for a moment and pulled back his hood to expose his shimmering blond hair and pointed ears. A wind blew, and tossled his hair around as though it were a leaf upon an autumn brease. Pausing, he then spoke in his strange elven voice.

"I'd like to help you clean up this ravaged city. Such devastation has always affected me, ever since my home was brutally robbed. That is, if you wouldn't mind me helping. I can tell the other man with the gun does not want me here."

He looked around slowly, and turned back to the man, waiting for an answer.

"Are you Ruby?" Wave asked

The man turned around, "Yes... and you are...Wave... correct?" He said
Wave drew his sword, " Why do you want me dead?" He asked

"I don't want you dead... I mearly wanted to talk with you." Ruby said
"About?"
"Joining me... as you probaly guessed, I now preety much own the city... If you joined me, you could get anything." Ruby said with an evil glint.

"Yeah...sorry, not going to happen." Wave said as he stapped Ruby in the chest twice. He fell to the ground, gasping for breath. Wave picked him up and threw him against the wall. As soon as he hit it, Wave kicked him the gut, then cast his storm of Ice magic, pinning him to the ground with several Ice bolts.

"Now listen to me..." Wave began, "You either give me complete control of your gang, or you die where you lay... what's it gonna be?"

[Hero]

OoC: Im gonna control Dr. Red aka Ruby in this post okay? Dr. Red or "Ruby" is one of Deadeyes villains and I dont want him to die....yet.

BiC:

Ruby held his chest to stop the bleeding, but it continued to flow out like a fountain. He knew that resisting the creatures offers would result in death, so he decided to play along....for now.

"Fine...you may have the gang...or at least the ones...who are...loyal to you..." Ruby weezed out.

Wave smiled to himself, and picked the rather bulky man up off of the floor. The elf held him there, almost as if he was going to stab him and end his pain, but he decided his suffering would be worse. Wave then dropped the smirk and threw him out the window.

Surely the fool wouldnt die. It looked as if his forehead had been stabbed before. He may arise to cause problems for him later, but he was nothing more then a man who wanted power, not one who actually had it.

"Attention all personel, you are now under my orders, anyone who disagrees with what I say dies where they stand. If you dont want that too happen, I suggest you follow my orders..." Wave said into a loud speaker.

The thugs then began to murmur to one another. Hope Wave wasnt so foolish as to threaten the group, without paying them off. After all crime is like a system, each person is paid off in order to perform their dutys, not threatened....

Meanwhile Dr. Red awoke laying inside of a dumpster. His back started to hurt everytime he tried to get up, and he could not turn his head back towards the front. It was nothing an operation couldnt fix, but for now, he was powerless...

OoC: Hope that was okay. Sorry I didnt reply, but I was Offline for a bit. Oh and I will be for some time to come, sorry...Please continue the battle, if not, I will when I get back.
