Love Waits for No One... But Zorlo (Sakume)

OoC: After a very, very, very, excessively long wait, we are proud to present you the next installment of the Zorlo and Selene love affair. Here goes. ^_^

BiC: The Aura Master stood upon the plateau, overlooking the forest that Kurenkento had trained him in since his younger days. Although he wasn't here for anything of that sort. In fact, he had returned for a very different reason entirely. He wasn't here to get back to the roots of his training, or to visit his Master's grave this time. He was here because he had left someone here, and he had returned to visit her, but not just that, he had something he had to ask her.

The plateau overlooked the massive forest, but he could just barely see a house in the distance. He could get there fast enough, but it'd take away from the dramatics of his entrance. Anyway, Zorlo had to formulate what he was going to say. After all, the only thing that had driven him here were the words of a friend. They echoed in his ears ever so loudly now, and he couldn't hold them back. He'd see her soon enough, and by then he'd know what he was going to say.

The words of the fencer's friend resonated again, and he repeated them softly, smiling to himself. He rather enjoyed saying them, since they held a great truth. "Don't put it off, because if you take too long, she'll be gone," he told himself as he leapt from the plateau and started walking towards the cabin in the woods. He knew she was there... or at least he hoped she was there. He just prayed that no other had come along and taken her with him.

The last he'd seen of her were images from the Dome in the room where he watched over her from. He always told himself he'd return soon, and now he was finally doing it. The Dome was covered, and his students wouldn't have noticed he was gone, right? Even if they did, his replacement was a good, hands on guy. Hopefully that would keep the students under wraps, and Kenjii wouldn't make him very dead, that would be bad. Even so, the fencer couldn't worry about that now. He had to get this done first, and then he'd get back to work.

As he waltzed through the forest quietly, he wondered what she was thinking at that moment. Was she waiting for him, or had she given up and gone looking for someone else? She wouldn't have done that. If she felt as strong about him as he felt about her, then she'd certainly be waiting, or so he hoped. He'd be there soon.

Step by step, the cabin became larger and larger, slowly taking form and revealing the lovely garden that Selene had planted. Such lovely flowers, and planted by the most lovely woman in the world, it was only natural, wasn't it? Even so, he walked towards the front door and stood before it smiling. It was now or never. With a slight sigh of happiness, he knocked on the door, waiting and hoping to see Selene's smiling face that greeted him.

Selene stumbled slightly as she climbed a hill towards home, knowing the door was unlocked, but she always left it unlocked since so few people even neared the place. She had gone to buy some food since she knew little was left. She held the two bags in front of her with great difficulty, but seemed to manage.

The door to the cabin easily swung open once knocked upon, revealing a great portion of woman's touch added to the homely little place. Selene had apparently been knitting and decorating quite a lot, since the windows had a floral curtain pattern about them, and the bed had a cover with a large heart on it. On the bed lay a suitcase, half full of Selene's clothing. Zorlo didn't know this, but she had been planning to return to the Forest of Whispers, where they first met, just to see how things have been going.

She approached closer, and saw the door open, not knowing Zorlo must have gone inside. She gasped softly. Someone must have been trying to break into the cabin. But why? She slowly approached, grabbing a vase from a windowsill after setting the groceries beside the open door. She inched along the wooden wall, holding the vase high so it was ready to knock some sense into the intruder.

Although it had not been too long since she and Zorlo had seen one another, Selene had changed slightly in appearance. Her hair was longer, and more wavy than curly. She had been shopping, and attempted to look more like a human with her tan shorts and white blouse. She rounded the corner, the vase outstretched. Then she saw him.

All the color drained from her face for a moment. "Z..." She dropped the vase, which shattered below. "Zorlo?" She squeaked.

The green haired man listened to the sound of the shattering vase, and turned slowly, knowing full well this wasn't an invader, but rather, someone he cared deeply for. He turned to face her slowly, closing his eyes as a smile slowly appeared upon his face in the most normal way it did. "Yes, milady, my love, I'm home," he told her, opening his emerald eyes slowly.

Her boundless blue eyes swallowing him within them, tears welling in her eyes as she looked at him lovingly, slowly taking a single step forwards. A second step as she started crying. Finally, Selene burst into an all out run and hugged Zorlo tightly, crying into his chest. "Y-you left so suddenly. I'm happy you're home," the crimson winged angel whispered to him as she nuzzled against his armor happily.

"I'm happy to be home. I'm sorry I left so suddenly after the ball... I was just... hurt, I suppose," he told her, a single tear dripping from his eye. Not one of sadness or regret, but one of happiness. He couldn't believe he was finally home, and he wondered why it had taken him so long to finally return. The Aura Master knew that Selene would wait for him, now and forever. For that, he would always return to her.

Memories of what had brought him here flashed in his mind as the fencer stood there, embracing his beloved like there was nothing else in the world. Images of battles long past, old friends, new rivals and countless others entered his mind as he looked ahead, his heart beating with all power. As images of battle left, he was filled with a specific kind of bliss. His hand reached into his pocket and took the diamond ring from his pocket. It was time.

Zorlo dragged one arm down Selene's arm and smiled at her, lightly removing one of her arms and lowering it. "Selene, there has been something I've been meaning to ask you for a long time... but have been putting off for stupid and foolish reasons," the fencer told her as he cast a smile and stepped back, bowing to one knee.

No better time then the present, was there? Well, the time to ask was now. He slowly slid the ring onto her finger and looked up at her with brilliant, emerald eyes flashing in the scarce light. "Will you marry me, Selene Vlaxen?" he asked her as his heart thudded louder. He'd wait and see, and hope for the best.

Already? Selene dreamed of this moment night and day, but nothing could prepare her for the shock of it actually coming true.

Her voice left her, and for a moment, she couldn't reply. The obvious answer to the question was, of course, yes. However, Selene couldn't help but give this a bit of thought. She had to make sure it was meant to be before she actually committed.

Married... what does that mean when we finally face my father? Zorlo will become the new king of heaven... but is that really what he wants? It's true... isn't it? What about his job at the Dome? And what about his traveling? She couldn't bear to leave him once they were wed... of course, Zorlo was better than Xiaver any day, and she did love the fencer with all her heart. What was more important than love? She tilted her head downwards to view the sparkling ring on her finger and looked back up at Zorlo.

Her deep blue eyes shimmered slightly as her lips formed a blissful smile. "Zorlo..." In a fit of excitement, her lips parted to reveal her white teeth. "Of course I will!" In flashes of light, her wings appeared, and she tackled his form on the floor, hugging him tightly. She kissed his cheeks, his forehead, and finally, his lips, more deeply than she ever had before.

She squeezed him once, resting her head against his chest. "I love you... I love you." She repeated over and over again. "Never leave me again... my lover... and my husband."

Zorlo's eyes went wide when she asked him never to leave her again, but that soon faded. Well, that just meant that he would have to take her to where he taught. Simple enough logic, right? It certainly enough was, and that would be the first thing he would attend to, albeit shortly.

He swept his arms under her legs and lifted her up, kissing her one more time as he cradled her, as the husband normally carried his wife after the wedding. True, they weren't married yet, but he was too enthralled to simply let her simply walk with him at this moment. He held her close for a moment, recalling the long days they had spent apart. Now was the time that they get close again, after all, they should since they were about to get married.

He carried her towards the door and started walking with an ardent fervor that none could hope to contend with. Bones and Nikudemon had learned this the hard way and had both wound up having a nearly impossible match up on their hands. Now that all those long battles were over, all that remained was to be with Selene. At least until something came up where they would have to part companies again. Such was the way of the Dome teacher.

The fresh smells of summer radiated into Zorlo's nose as he walked with a very content smile on his face as he carried his bride-to-be in his arms. Something about holding her like that gave him more of a sense of completeness then anything else. The fencer wondered if the beloved angel in his arms would wonder where they were going, since he had only started moving towards the door when she grabbed the door frame.

"Where are we going, Zorlo?" she asked him as she smiled up at him.

He pulled her close and kissed her again before whispering to her, "My home away from home: the Dome," he said absolutely carelessly. He wasn't about to never let her know where he was again. For now on, if she ever needed to find him, she could, since she'd be where he spent a good deal of his time.

"I want it to become your second home," he told her with a careless smile as she pointed at the bed. His emerald gaze turned to the bed and saw what she had packed. "Where are you going?" he asked with a hint of wonder about his voice. Has she been planning on leaving before he came back? Well, it didn't matter, he'd find out where they were going soon enough.

She paused for a few moments, considering a response worth giving. Well, what was wrong with letting him know what was going on?

"I was going to return to The Forest of Whispers for a while... just to see how things were going. I've felt a little disturbed for a few weeks, and I wondered if it had to do with the senses I've had from being the guardian for so long." She couldn't keep from smiling, since it was such a beautiful moment, but still, she felt a little nervous.

"You can come too, if you like, Zorlo." She said after a minute, leaning into his grip, easily carried by his strength.

"Of course I will." He replied, stroking her blonde silky hair carefully. "When did you want to go?"

"Sometime after we're legally married, perhaps... I can wait, now that you're home. But why are we going to the dome?" Not that Selene didn't appreciate the fact that Zorlo was a teacher, but she wasn't sure about going so soon back to his work. "Home away from home? Maybe my third or fourth," she said shyly. "My first home will always be in heaven... even if I haven't seen it in the longest time."

She paused before continuing. "I secondly appreciate the Forest of Whispers. You know how much it means to me. And then the cabin, and then this... dome..." She closed her eyes. "I can almost hear them now... the way they used to call for my encore when I would dance... before I was sent away to the Forest."

"I would love to go wherever it is you go, milady," Zorlo replied, a pleasant smile still planted on his face.

"Good, I'm very glad... and Zorlo? I'm amazed at how you can always be such a happy person." She laughed while hugging him again. "Continue to be happy, okay? I like it when you're happy."

The fencer laughed slightly for a second, and then decided to explain why he wished to return to the Dome. "I do not want to go to the Dome for the sake of teaching, but more since it has the amazing power to find what a person desires. "Milady, I wish to be happy with you for the rest of our lives," he told her as he placed her on the bed. "As for why we're going to the Dome, to find a place to relax, not so I can get back to work," he told her as he cast a kind smile.

In his mind, the Aura Master pondered how things in the Dome were going, but he didn't really care. He knew the monkeys could take care of things. They were skilled at that. After all, Armond knew what to do while Zorlo was on missions and doing other things. Not to mention that strange guy that they had put in to fill in for him. Strange guy that was, but even so, he knew what to do, even if the monkeys knew better.

The fencer placed his lover on the bed after clearing a place for her and sat at the edge of the bed, smiling. "Milady, if you do not wish to go to the Dome, we don't need to. I was just thinking of finding a place for us to relax, like a cruise ship or something," the green haired man said as he rubbed his hand against her cheek. a kind of relaxed silence came over and he stood up, taking off his jacket with a half smile.

The Aura Master placed his jacket down, followed by his sword. He sat at the edge of the bed again and looked at Selene happily, unable to shake his smile. The only time he stopped smiling, it seemed, was when he needed to be serious about something... which rarely occurred. "So, what do you want to do?" he asked her, laying next to her, looking into her eyes lovingly. Still, he couldn't shake the feeling that something seemed wrong... not between them, but something that was outside of their control.

She lifted a hand to his cheek, carressing it for a moment, thinking about things in the future. "You'll be okay, Zorlo..." The hand dropped for a moment. "I think that we should go where you wanted to go. But wait, what? A cruise ship?" She repeated in slight confusion. "What's that? I mean, I know what a ship is... but the only ones I've heard of are the ones that catch fish."

She heard Zorlo laugh softly as he continued to stroke her cheek in return. "I'm sure you'd love it, my only. It's important that we make this moment as happy as possible."

Selene cocked her head, thinking again before replying. "Sounds nice. I think I'd like to try that. And look." She pointed to her suitcase. "I'm already packed."

Zorlo laughed at this, enjoying his loved one's company. With very little effort, he picked up the pack and hoisted it in one arm. "Come, milady. Let me show you the way to the Dome. I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself."

"Oh, yes. I'm sure I will, too." Selene picked up a great sense of happiness from Zorlo, but something she also picked up made her raise an eyebrow. Strange. An almost nervous, unsure feeling eminated from her soon-to-be husband. What was it about, she wondered? Hm. She'd ask him later. She followed behind him, wings disappearing once more. "Oh, maybe I can meet your students, too?" She asked hopefully.

"Perhaps." Zorlo responded, looking over his shoulder to see her beaming smile. "We'll see if they're close or not. I'd be happy to show you all around."

As they got closer to their destination, Selene glanced back to see the cabin disappearing in the distance. What a strange turn of events brought her this far. Since she appeared human, maybe if Dark Selene cooperated, she could perform again. Not in a dirty place, of course, for Zorlo would certainly be utterly crushed. She would maybe try her hand again where she used to. Surely they wouldn't recognize her. But she'd speak with him about this at a more relaxed time rather than now.

The fencer continued carrying his lover, the red winged angel, towards the Dome... er... more where he thought the Dome to be. The annoying part of the Dome was that it forever shifted its position and doors, but the fencer didn't mind, he was used to it. In fact, the Aura Master could, given proper focus, maybe force a door in existence out of thin air... but did he really want to materialize the door to his room... with all of its dangers?

No, he couldn't do that. Even materializing his door after he and Selene wound up in his room wouldn't work, since redirecting the door took time. He'd simply need to find another way in, the only question was where would the door spawn next, and where? The fencer didn't know, he was smart, he wasn't a psychic. All he needed was to find some trace of the Dome.

"Milady, how do you feel?" he asked Selene as he walked silently, cradling Selene in his arms as the two walked on. "I'm sure we're somewhere close," Zorlo said confidently, not quite ready to admit he had no god damned clue where he was going. The green haired man held Selene close, kissing her softly as a door suddenly appeared under him, and as he stepped upon it, falling through the door.

As the kiss finally broke, the fencer stopped walking and looked around. He was in the Dome? The heck? The fencer didn't really ponder it and smiled widely. "Milady, we're here! The Dome!" he told her, kissing her again as he started walking again. Now, to find some place to take her for a non adventure, he thought to himself as he moved in front of a door with blue waves on it.

He swallowed hard as he turned the door, smiling brightly, although a bit nervous as the door opened. He stepped into the room, and found only a cruise ship. A massive cruise ship at that. The fencer looked at the room he had just opened a door into, and it was a cabin, and he could see the ocean outside of the door. "We're here," he told her, snuggling her a bit before laying her on a bed. "Care to go for a look around?" he asked her with a smile.

This is the Dome? It seems impossible... but then again, Zorlo has told me amazing things about this place where he works. She got up from the bed after a moment, glancing out the window of the ship, curious about something. Dark Selene had not shown herself in a long time now. Although Selene had, at times, sensed her talking to herself about something, as if trying to convince herself about a decision. She noticed Zorlo was staring at her, still smiling.

"Thinking about something, my love?" he asked.

"No, nothing to worry about," Selene replied, smiling. "What is this, anyway? Where are we?"

"It seems we've landed on a cruise ship, my love." Her husband-to-be glanced around. "A rather big one, at that."

"A... cruise ship?" Selene repeated, unsure of what this meant. "What is a cruise ship?"

"Haven't you ever been on a boat, milady?" Zorlo asked, a somewhat surprised look on his face.

"A.. boat?"

Zorlo chuckled and took her hands, leading her to a window and gesturing. "Look outside! We're on the ocean."

Selene paused before surveying the vast aqua rolling waves, no speck of land visible. "How are we not sinking? Doesn't this... cruise ship weigh a lot?" She asked innocently, blinking a few times. She had never heard of anything like this, and it was quite interesting for her. "In heaven, we have lakes and rivers, but no oceans. Is an ocean like a lake?"

"Yes, only much bigger." Zorlo laughed as he took her hands in his own. "Come and let us explore!" He swung open the door and Selene tagged along behind him, smiling as she came upon one of the multiple decks.

"Oh! Oh! Zorlo!" She dragged him back so suddenly, he nearly stopped. "Look! Those animals! They look like they're in trouble! Shouldn't we help them?"

He looked in the direction she pointed, and began to laugh. "No, no, my love. Those are dolphins. No wonder you've never seen any. They don't live in lakes. They're jumping like that because they're happy."

"Oh..." She paused, putting a hand to her lips, enlightened by this new information. "Well. If they're happy, than that's good! Hello, dolphins!" After a moment, a shrill squeak erupted from one. "Did you hear that, Zorlo? They said hello back!" She was thrilled.

Zorlo loved the fact that his future wife was so innocent, almost like a child in some ways. "Any more questions, my love?"

"Yes!" Selene exclaimed. "What's that?" She pointed to a nearby tank which was used for the more friendly inhabitants of the ocean, and the guests to touch them.

"It looks like it's a place for a person to touch creatures that live in the ocean." Zorlo replied, smiling. "Would you like to find out, milady?"

"Yes, very much!" Selene exclaimed, slowly approaching the glass and leaning over. "So what is this? It looks like a star."

"That's called a starfish, so you were close." Zorlo took her glove and slipped it off. "You can touch it if you'd like; it won't hurt you."

"It dosn't look very much like a fish. Why isn't it moving?" Selene said as she poked it with one finger.

"Well, they're very slow creatures. I believe they become more active at night. Like... owls." Zorlo stated with a smile. "You know what owls are, right, milady?"

"Yes!" Selene exclaimed happily. "Owls used to love The Forest of Whispers." Along with protecting the treasure, Selene was somewhat of an animal guardian, and cared very much for the local wildlife. "Well. It certainly doesn't look very happy. Does it look happy to you, Zorlo?"

The fencer wasn't sure how to respond to this. He'd never been asked to analyze a starfish. He leaned forward for a moment, deciding it may be best to agree with his love on her opinion. "Well, I suppose you're right."

"Come, my marine friend!" Selene snatched up the starfish, and before Zorlo could stop her, dropped it off the side of the ship, watching it fall into the ocean below. "Be free!"

"Honey?" Zorlo took her hands and laughed slightly, trying not to attract attention. "It might not be the best idea for you to do that... you see, they're happy here, they really are. Starfish just don't have much expression."

"Oh." Selene seemed to consider this. "Okay, then. What's that?"

"That?" Zorlo glanced where she had pointed through the tank. "It's a...a stingray. Now those could hurt you, but these ones won't."

"Oh, Zorlo! Can you feed it? I want to watch!" She looked so excited and intimidatingly cute that the fencer could not refuse.

"Okay." He took a piece of the feeding material, or squid, and lowered it under the water, keeping his hand still. The stingray floated over towards his hand and above it slightly, and with a sudden sucking like a vaccum cleaner, the squid was gone. "Whoah!" Zorlo had never fed a stingray before, and the sensation was strange. Selene had reached in above it and was slowly petting the animal.

"Oh, it looks so nice! And it feels very smooth and slippery!" She giggled.

"Sure does." Zorlo agreed after shaking his hand, trying to rid it of the feeling.

Selene skipped past a few tanks to reach the end, where a very dark water lay inside a tank. "What's this?" she asked curiously.

"That... I rightly have no idea." Zorlo said after a moment. "Let me see." He bent down to read the plaque of information on the animal. "It says here it's a... Hick-le-back? A carniverous fish that has unique abilities and is currently being researched by top scientists."

Selene squinted as she peered closer and nearly jumped as the fish appeared out of nowhere. It was rather large in size, at least three feet in length. The colors consisted of a somewhat tan brown, with several ridges of dark brown running along the sides. It had rather sharp teeth, but didn't look intimidating. At least not to Selene. The angel cocked her head as she surveyed the fish, and the animal soon mimicked her.

"Zorlo..." She whispered, taking the arm of her love. "This fish looks so sad... don't you see it?" Truthfully, any person could have seen that this Hickleback was capable of expressing slight emotion, if anything.

The tone in his love's voice touched the fencer's heart, but he didn't want to break any rules while they were here, and stealing a fish that was owned by the government was probably a bad idea. "Well... yes, I suppose so. But I'm sure he has good care..."

Selene turned to look at him, her sad expression simply wrenching the green-haired man's gut. "We have to help it..."

The fencer looked at the tank, and then back at Selene, who gave him big, bright eyes. Man eating fish, or the woman he loved... worse case scenario would be he had to kill the thing. Even so... that wasn't a good option, since Selene wouldn't like it. The only decisions here sucked... greatly. The fencer still smiled, although nervously, at the concept of helping the man eating fish, but still, it wasn't like it could hurt the fencer any.

"Zorlo, please help it," the red winged angel said, and the fencer let out a sigh as he turned towards the tank.

Damn empathic fish, Zorlo thought silently as he placed his hand over the tank, and suddenly...

Snap!

The green haired man looked at the brown fish attached to his arm at the middle of the forearm, grinding its teeth into his chain-mail. It was obviously a very stupid creature. Suddenly, the fencer recalled a good deal about this creature and tried to shake it off, accidentally sending it flying across the room.

"ZORLO!" Selene yelled as he pointed at the fish. The creature stood like a dog and walked back towards the two and sat down like a dog. "Oh..." Selene said as he moved towards the fish and started petting its head. "Did that mean Zorlo hurt you, huh fishie?" she asked, completely disregarding the fact the fish had bitten Zorlo. Even so, the fencer only smiled as Selene looked back at him. "Zorlo, say sorry to the Hickleback."

The Aura Master narrowed his eyes at the fish, and the fish narrowed its eyes back. The green haired man wasn't about to apologize to a fish... but in this case, he might have needed to. "All right... fish... I'm sorry..." the fencer said as he extended his arm and the fish chomped down on his hand at the wrist. The fencer almost, but didn't, winced as the fangs lightly broke his skin. A seriously stupid creature.

The fish sat silently, gnawing on the fencer's arm, intent on tasting his sweet blood. Selene smiled at the fish and looked at it with large, loving eyes. "Zorlo, can we keep it?!" she asked him as the angel took a step closer.

Zorlo looked at the fish on his arm for a moment, and then at Selene, and then at the fish again. He could simply toss the fish into the ocean and hoped they never saw it again, but he could also let her keep it as a pet and take care of it. The only question was which choice was the better?

Finally, the fencer submitted. "All right, you can keep him as a pet, Selene, but only if you take care of him. This fish and I aren't going to be the best of friends, of this I am already certain," he told her as he shook the fish until it came off his wrist and landed on the ground, looking up at the fencer. This was going to be a long relationship with this man eating fish.

She smiled and patted her fishie, noticing it acted somewhat like a dog. She then turned to Zorlo, showing him her thanks with a small kiss on his lips. "Thank you, Zorlo-kun. I promise I will take good care of him. He looks so happy now." Selene probably didn't guess this was because the Hickleback now had a supply of food nearby for the rest of its life.

"I'm sure he is..." Zorlo grumbled softly, rubbing his sore wrist.

"Oh, now we have to name him! But we should probably get home before that. This fish was being researched by the government. I don't think they'll like that we took him." Selene commented.

"Don't worry, my love. I'm sure there's more than one." Although I certainly hope not. Zorlo commented mentally.

"Hm. Well... maybe we can keep him in the bathroom for now. And we can spend time together alone. I like to be alone with you." Selene said, as the Hickleback jumped, or rather, flopped up into her arms. "What do you think?"

"Hm. Alright. I hope it's fine in freshwater." Although I wouldn't mind if it wasn't. Zorlo motioned for the way back to the room, filling up the bathtub when they got there and setting the new pet inside, wincing as it ground its teeth against his wrist again, its way of showing affection. "Be good while Selene and I are gone." Or I might pull the plug and let you get sucked down the drain.

The Hickleback jumped up once and then swam back and forth, seeming to be fine. Zorlo exited the room, shutting the door and facing Selene, who smiled. "How is the Hickleback?"

"Just fine." Zorlo answered, smiling through the slight pain of being bitten.

"Good! Well... now that he's fine until we go back... what do you want to do next?" Selene asked, tucking her hands behind her in a shy movement. "You choose, since I chose last time."

Zorlo looked at Selene and smiled at her, extending his hand to her, and her slowly reaching out and taking his hand in her own. "I think I'd like to spend some time with just us... in our room. How... does that sound?" he asked nervously, not quite sure what he was asking.

Selene blushed as she looked at him and smiled. "I think I'd like that," she told him as the two began walking towards their room. It wasn't a long walk, but still, at this point, time seemed to slow down as they walked. To make things better, Zorlo loved every second of it. The fencer didn't know what, if anything, would happen, but he'd embrace his destiny with open arms. Mostly because he knew that Selene was at every turn in that destiny.

As the two neared the room, the fencer began to think about something, or things, of interest. First, the fencer thought about the ice innate, Zachary, who he had left to train in the Dome with Cadenza. He'd be back soon, right? The teacher wasn't sure, but he knew that the two would be okay. After all, Cadenza was stronger then the Aura Master, something Zorlo knew to be wholly fact.

Still, the red winged angel and the green haired fencer continued their walk towards their room, and still the fencer thought about things elsewhere, and how they were to be dealt with and resolved. Zachary and Cadenza would be fine, but what about the fencer's other promises he had made? The Aura Master had to keep an eye on TDC to make sure he was okay and pushing on in life.

Aside from just that, there was another promise to that man. Gorin, the God of Wrath, had to die, and the fencer would be the hand which destroyed the god. He had promised to destroy the monstrous god, even if it destroyed the fencer. The green haired man would start up working on that shortly, but for now, he had more pressing matters at hand.

The creaking of the door alerted the fencer to the fact that he and Selene had arrived. The green haired man looked at his lover and smiled at her. "You go in, I'll be right behind you," he told her as she nodded and entered. The fencer smiled and looked out through a window at the ocean. It was time to see where fate had taken the Aura Master.

He entered his and Selene's room, and the door closed slowly. The last light of sun vanished. The clocks moved forwards, and it was time to see what the true feeling of love was. Now they were alone, in their room. In time, things would change, naturally, but it was time, for now, to embrace things as they were. Happy.
