It was a warm, summer day, and Viratious was stepping out a dimensional portal right into a place where he could rest, it was a nice place, a big rock in front of a great shade-giving tree, he put down a sword he stole from a weird guy, an old guy with a weird unbuttoned blue shirt and salt and pepper hair...
Just as Viratious was starting to sleep, he saw a figure, a female figure, approaching him...
I better protect this sword, I did promise to give it back...
He got up, grabbed the sword, and leaned against the rock, still basking in the shade.
"Hello?" He called out...

OoC: I guess I'll join in as well. I will use Xantez.

BiC: After a long day of travel, the wandering soldier had found himself walking up a hill. Xantez came to a large rock next to a tree, and decided that he deserved to rest for the time being. He placed his swords down beside the rock, his handguns following after, and he himself sat down with his back leaning onto the rock. He closed his eyes and relaxed, reminiscing about his recent past and his childhood memories. Not long did an image of him and his father come to his head, and he saw himself with his father walking. He was 10, and they were taking a stroll through the park. It was one day I found out alot about him. God, I could never forget that day...

"Dad," he remembered himself start off the conversation, "Why did you choose to be a soldier?"

"It was something my grandfather did for a living," he replied to me with a smile. "He was a great commander, a great leader. I felt that I should be like that to gain respect from him." He looked at the 10 year old Xantez. "That's why I joined, son."

"But you always told me that the best way to gain your respect was to do what my heart led me to do." Xantez asked with confusion in his voice. "Wasn't it what grandpa also taught you?"

"Yes son," he replied, "But at that time I was too naive because of my young age. After awhile I realized deep within me that it wasn't to gain his respect, but something much more." He stopped walking, as well as I did, and continued to speak. "I decided to join because it was what I wanted to protect. It was you and your mother. My family. My friends. Everyone in this world. That was my true reason."

Xantez smiled, following after with a sigh. It was one of the only moments in his life that he really loved to remember. Of course, there were times that he wished he could forget.

"If only it were that possible to forget. would be truely satisfied."

Xantez sighed, and moved a bit to find a comfortable position to sit in. When he found himself in a comfortable position he heard a voice from the other side.

"Who's there," it said demandingly.

Xantez reached for one of his short swords to be ready for a fight. I don't want to fight today. I wish this could wait until maybe tomorrow. He then spoke out. "It depends," he replied, "Are you friend or foe?"

"That also depends," the voice replied back, "What is your intent?"

"Nothing but a relaxation against this rock, on top of this hill." Xantez gripped the hilt of his sword even tighter. "What about you?"

"The same thing, I suppose." The voice softened a bit, as well as the soldier's grip on his sword. "I do not want to fight today, so do not think of me as your enemy."

Xantez let go of his sword completely, and rested with his back against the rock once again.

"So what's your name, stranger?" the voice asked.

"Xantez" the soldier replied. "What about you? Do you have a name?"

"I'm Viratious."

"Viratious?" Xantez said with a fascinated in his voice. "That is an interesting name."

"I guess," he replied. "I have never heard of a name like yours, though. I find your name to be more interesting than mine."

"I have a normal name," Xantez told the voice. "Your name is longer than mine. I find long names to be more interesting than any other kind of name."

"It seems we think opposite, then," Viratious said with possibly a smile from the tone of his voice. "I thnk that short names are more fascinating. I think there is more mystery that surrounds a short name."

"To each is own," Xantez chuckled, relieved that he did not have to fight today. Finally, something I really choose to do instead of fighting. Just a simple talk.

"So where are you from?"

"A planet called Earth."

"Earth?" the stranger asked. "Never heard of a place like that."

"It's not part of this world," Xantez explained. "It isn't even in this galaxy, no doubt."

"I see," Viratious replied, understanding what the soldier meant.

How about you?" Xantez asked curiously. "Are you from around here?"

"Actually, I'm not. I'm from..."

Xantez noticed something bugged the stranger. He thought he asked the wrong question, so he wanted to apologize. Just as he was about to speak, he was interrupted.

"Someone is coming, Xantez," the stranger warned. "Let's hope that it's not an enemy."

The soldier reached for his sword once more. Damn, did this really have to happen? And I was just having a nice conversation with a stranger...

OOC: Lol!! That's awesome...

BIC: Viratious got up as did the stranger, on two different sides of the tree...
Viratious picked up the sword and thought: As long as I have it I'll use it! The stranger, as he noticed was still female, but he prepareed himself just incase, as for there were many females that tried to kill him in the Interdimension Palace, was this one of them?

"Who are you??"
"I told you, Xantez!" The other stranger said in an annoyed voice as he appeared to Viratious...
"No, I mean the gir... Never mind!!"

OOC: Ok, if someone with a female charater could come in right about now, it would help!

BIC: "Hello" murmured a voice behind a tree. There emerged an Eighteen year-old girl carrying a staff with a pearl perched atop of it. The girl had been listening in on the conversation behind the tree. She heard nothing she had been hoping to hear, so she might as well reveal herself.

The girl looked at the boys. Looking at the taller boy, she decided to answer the question asked a little bit ago. The taller boy looked more tense then the other man, she was a little more worried if the boy would strike her.

"I am Kika, just a girl of no importance" murmured Kika shyly, "I won't hurt you guys, I was just listening to your pleasent 'chat'". Kika examined the boys, just to make sure they weren't hostile. The taller one didn't seem to be as tense as when she popped out, so that was a good thing.

"Your names are Viratious and.......Xantez, right?"

"That little brat!!" Dybia yelled in the ruined street. "I'll take my sword back if I have to ring his neck until his limp body let's go! but I have to get out of here first."

He kept looking for a way out of the city quickly, seeing as a ground force would probably be mopping up the remains of this place soon. Dybia found a motorcycle with a corpse laying next to it, the owner must have been trying to leave too, but he'd had a piece of debris lodged into his head. Dybia took the goggles the man had been wearing and slipped them on. "Thanks for the ride." Dybia said raising the motorcycle, which was still running. He quickly took off to the east.

After about an hour of driving Dybia felt a spark in his hands. Enola was close, and Dybia knew it. He kept riding out through the country until morning, and finaly he arrived to a strange sight. A large purple vortex in the center of what looked like a large stone display(like stone hinge I mean). Dybia revved the engine and pulled his hood up before he zoomed through the portal sensing his sword was beyond.

The next thing he knew, he was in the middle of an almost identicle stone display, except this one was on top of a small hill, with a sunny valley below. "I'm close, very close." Dybia said, as he Drove foreword to a large tree he saw in the distance.

OoC: Well, how the crap else was I supposed to even get in this than to make a plot device like a vague portal? seriously, you just say you steal my character's weapon and run away with no way to follow.

"No.... My name is Daerht!! And his named," he indicated Xantez" is Suoiverp!"
"Oh... Really?" The girl looked shocked at what Viratious had just said, completley ingnoring the obvious sarcasmn in his voice.
"You were listening in on our conversation, what do you think??" Viratious, again sarcasticly, said.
"Hmm..." Xantez pondered, "Where'd ya get all that nice stuff you have hidden in your robe, ya steal it??" Xantez laughed.
"Uhh... How'd you notice?" The girl seemed a bit scared.
"It was too obvious, there were many bulk spots under your robe, it didn't fit... Of course, you study black magic, don't you?" Viratious looked directly at the black book that everyone now noticed she was carrying.
"Uhh... Uhh..." The girl looked worried... Viratious and Xantez both laughed...
"I study magic, too... I'm pretty good at, wanna test our skills real quick??"
"Uhh... No... Not today, some other day, yea, some other day..." The girl was so obviously worried about anybody discovering a secret she had.

OOC: In case you hadn't noticed, "Daerht" and "Suoiverp" is "Thread" and "Previous" spelled backwards, respectivly.

BiC: "What are you worried about?" Xantez asked as he tried looking at her face. Kika kept on avoiding eye contact with him, and it made him wonder more about the black mage. Could she be hiding something from us? Xantez wanted her trust to avoid any conflicts with the girl, so he tried his best to do so.

"Don't be so shy now. You are among friends," Xantez attempted to assure the mage. He looked at the boy and they both nodded, agreeing with what the soldier had said. "You don't have to be afraid now. Can we all just gain each others' trust and have a discussion?"

"Well," Kika began, both Xantez's and Viratious's eyes looking at her as they waited for an answer. The girl became shy again. Damn, this is harder than I expected. Xantez scratched his head, thinking of a way to make sure that she would just calm down. She seems so tense, so what's bugging her? Is she actually hiding something from us? He did what came to his head at that second, which wasn't one of his bright ideas, but it might've worked. He walked to the girl, and put his left arm around her shoulders.

"Look, it's obvious you're hiding something from us." The soldier nudged the mage lightly as he attempted to get on her good side. "But we aren't here to hurt you. We came to rest here, and you should come join us. Instead of us fighting, why not just have a little chat as we sit and relax for the day?"

"Come on, he's right," the boy assured her. "None of us want to fight today, so let's just relax and take a break. We all need it, so come join us and talk with us."

"Well..." Xantez looked at the mage's face when she fell into deep thought. He could not take his eyes off her. Damn, she's hot.

OoC: Hey, what can I say? He hits on ladies, so of course he thinks they're hot when they are in his mind XD.

"O-Okay" said Kika quietly. She had been listening to them for one reason only, to either steal something from them if she heard them speak of anything in their bags, and something else. The mage didn't want those people to know that she wanted to steal from them, they would probably not trust her anymore. Or worse, turn her in for stealing so many times. As she sat under the shade of a tree, she turned to look at Xantez, who was looking at her. He gave her a kind smile.

Kika was silent as she sat, the others seemed to be silent too, as if waiting for her.

"What, you want me to tell you guys?" asked Kika. The boys seemed to knod very patiently.

"Well....." murmured Kika quietly. 'I guess I can trust these guys' thought Kika, 'After all, Altra also trusted me when I told him'.

"I was listening in your conversation to try to steal your things, if you had anything valuble" Kika said rather bluntly.

"AHahah!!!" Viratious laughed! "All I have with me is this sword, which is stolen..."
"Wait... If you're here, then who was that?" Xantez questioned. Everyone looked at where Viratious had just saw the girl...
"She's gone.." Viratious replied, he then just saw a figure, apparantly on a motorcycle, coming towords all of them..
He looked at the girl and Xantez and commanded, "GET OUT OF HERE, NOW!!"
"I'm not taking any orders from a kid more then half my age!" Xantez removed his left arm from the girl's shoulder. He was tense.
"Look, I know exactly who this is and why he came, alright? Now get out of here or I'll kill you!" Just then, a voice from Viratious's past said,
"When we have business to settle, you can't kill anyone other then me!"
Viratious turned around and laid his eyes upon a fifty-somthing year old with an unbuttoned blue shirt and gray hair.
"You!" Viratious replied in a dark voice!

OOC: A little mini-battle may take place here, don't worry, it won't take over the whole story!

Dybia did not stop when he saw the kid in front of him. He kept up full speed, straight at him. The boy jumped dodging the motorcycle but Dybia caught him by the ankle as he went by. "Not so lucky huh?" Dybia said, The boy tried to fire another blast at his face, but Dybia grabbed his hand and shocked the hell out of it.

Dybia caught sight of Enola in the boy's other hand and snatched it back, before even thinking about anything else. "That's all I needed," Dybia said turning back to the tree, "Now you can go back." He yelled as he threw him at a girl that was standing next to that tree. He stopped a little ahead of there and yelled back, "That's what you get for acting like a common thief, later!!".

Dybia took off to what he assumed was east firing random blasts of lightning in all directions with Enola, cackling as he rode off at 40 mph.

OoC: Not much but it seemed it wouldn't move along unless I posted, so I'll probably come back in later.

Bic: The girl dropped Viratious to the ground, Viratious immediatly got up and yelled "DUMBA-" Viratious was cut off by Xantez putting his hand over Viratious's mouth,
"Don't cuss in front of her." Xantez sounded stern.
"I'm gonna kill that old bas-" Viratious looked at Xantez, "idiot, I meant idiot..."
The girl started laughing!
"I'm really amazed your head didn't smash into that tree when he grabbed you!" The girl said as she fell down laughing...
"Yea, who was he?" Xantez asked, joining the girl on the ground, but not laughing...
Viratious quickly looked at both of them together, snickered, and replied: "He was someone I got into a fight with earlier, I got his sword, and now he has it back, and a motorcycle, apparently."
The girl stopped laughing for some reason and spoke, but this time looking at Xantez, "Ahaha... That was so funny! Did you see that young guy get stabbed??"
"Are you dilusional?" Xantez asked as he stood up and backed away from the girl and more toward Viratious...
Viratious looked around, "Why is everyone I meet here so much older?"

OoC: Finally, it's continuing.

BiC: "It's not that everyone is older, you are just younger," Xantez replied to the boy's remark. "You are a bit young to be someone who could protect himself in circumstances like this one. The thing is, though, is that I'm impressed with your strengths." Xantez stood from the ground he sat on, and walked over to the tree. He leaned onto the tree trunk and rested, closing his eyes. "One more thing is that you also make a lot of enemies in your travels."

"That I have to agree with," the girl said, coming into the conversation. "I am guessing you have more enemies than just him."

"I guess you could say that," Viratous explained. "Since I am a bit of a thief, as you could tell by that incident. I don't do it often, but the sword just looked like it would be useful."

The three all chuckled, and when they stopped Xantez sat down onto the ground where he leaned on the tree, and sighed heavily. God, I really miss him. He wiped his head with his forearm and looked up into the sky, thinking of his father. I wonder if you're satisfied, dad. I became what you said would ruin me. I did ths for you, so are you happy...? Angry...? Sad...? Xantez closed his eyes, and whispered to himself. "I joined the army to make you proud. Are you truly proud up there, looking down on me?"

"Is something bothering you, Xantez?" he heard a voice speak to him. He opened his eyes and saw Kika looking at him. "You looked troubled. Is something wrong?"

Xantez sighed heavily once more. Kika sat down next to him, as if she wanted to comfort him. "You can tell me what's bugging you. I'll listen, and maybe help if I can."

"My father died during battle when I was young. He was a soldier, and a great one at that. He fought bravely on the frontline, and never admitted defeat regardless of his conditon." He looked away from Kika, sadened by the past. "I wanted to be like him, and he was aganst my choice. I was angry at him and he and never spoke so much to each other after that. Few years later he died when protecting my planet, and I want nothng more than revenge on the ones who killed him."

"Do you know who killed him?" Kika asked.

"Hell if I know," Xantez replied softly. "But t doesn't matter. I want them dead, and I will kill them, even if they will kill me. If they take my life away, I will only be reunted with my father. I will not die in vain."

"I know how you feel about your father," Kika told Xantez. "I have felt such pain, and still feel that pain. The only difference between you and I is that you did not see him die in your hands."

Kika burst into tears, and Xantez wondered what she meant as he brought his arm around her and trid to comfort her. I wonder what she means by that. In her own hands? What could have led to that?

"It's ok, it's ok. You have to be strong about these things, or else you will give into these feelings so easily."

She wiped her eyes of her tears with her cloak's sleeve. Xantez sighed wth relief, and began to speak. "What happened back then?"

OoC: There isn't supposed to be a fight, so I started a conversation. What else is there to do now? Besides, I'm new at this kind of RP'ing so cut me some slack.

Kika fell silent, trying to gather the information into her head of what had happened. She had only told the story once before, so she was not used to telling it.

"Well, I was ten years old. I was still studying magic...I wasn't good at it that much. My older brother always told me about the places where we would go if we went out of the place we used to live" Kika paused for a second, then went on, almost smiling from remembering, "When we had finally escaped from the 'cage' of a city, we were ambushed by a monster as we traveled. We never expected to find one at all. My brother had a broken arm, so he couldn't use his sword he had stolen. I decided to kill it with the most powerful spell I had looked at, but I had never practiced it at all. I did kill the monster, yet I foolishly had killed my brother in the process. His blood was all over me, and the only thing left of him was his skeleton in a puddle of his blood". Kika stopped, almost saving herself from being locked in the flashback.

Kika and Xantez were silent for a while, sitting next to eachother.

"Very sad..." Viratious had joined the conversation... "But, I now know where I've seen you before..." He looked at Xantez
"Huh?" Xantez was confused, "You, killed my father?"
"I didn't, my father, however, did..." Viratious was trying his best to avert Xantez's gaze...
"YOU MURDERER!!!" Xantez got up and was full of rage. He rushed at Viratious, who just avoided Xantez and shot him with a binding curse.
"Look! My father killed yours, it's in the past..." Xantez was still raging... "I have something for you, if you want it..."
"What?" Xantez was calm, but still bound to the ground.
"Yes, it was something... I have no clue what this is, but you can have it..." Viratious threw a silver watch on the ground in front of Xantez, "My father stole that after his death..."
"What??..."
"I hope you me are not enemies, but, if we become enemies, I won't hesitate to kill you..." Viratious lifted the curse of Xantez, he got up and looked at Viratious...
"Fine, it's in the past..."
"We're allies now," Xantez shook his head, "all three of us!" Viratious looked at the girl, "Your name was, Kika, wasn't it?"
"Yes, it was..." The girl called Kika replied...
"I have to go anyway, if that guy on the motorcycle comes back, avoid him at all costs..."
"If we're allies, we'll find each other again, right?"
"I'll be sure to come back to this dimension and find you two, don't worry!"
Viratious opened up a dimensional portal, jumped into it, and it closed...
Xantez picked up his father's watch...
"We're allies now..." Xantez whispered to himself...
