Gavin's Debut (Anyone)

OoC: Just to let you know, Ill be using Gavin (I guess I have to; it's my only one), and that this RP is sort of like a contiuation of his Biography story.

BiC: Night had long since swept over the watery expanse of the sea, and the nocturnal breeze gave Gavin's face a slight chill. Ever since he left the city of Polton behind, Gavin had been in continuous flight for several hours. Eventually, he would have to find somewhere to land, and just as the thought crossed his mind, Gavin spotted a cluster of lights far out at the horizon. The lights attracted him like a magnet and he began to zoon toward that direction. As Gavin drew closer to the illumination, he discovered it to be comming from a decent-sized ciy situated on a very large island. The darkness shrouded much of the detail concerning the island save the burg and a few mountain peaks. Gavin turned his gaze toward the town and examined it. At the seashore was a harbor with several wooden piers. Further inland was a sort of downtown area with a few large buildings, although the buildings were not as tall as those in Polton. Stil further, toward the hills in the distance, he could see a few small lights which indicated residential areas. This city, and the whole island in general, looked ripe for exploration, but one simple factor stood in the way of Gavin's aspirations: it was just too DARK! He would have to find somewhere to bunk for the night.

After veering from his course a little, to keep from flying directly into the city, Gavin spotted a coastal highway leading into the darkness and landed there, on the side of the road. Leaning on one of the many pine trees lining the road's inland side, Gavin thought about a place to crash when the memory occured to him: he had brought no money with him. Insted of despairing, however, Gavin began to look up at the trees and grinned widely as the idea came to him. With that, he bounded into the trees. After walking a few yards, he came across a clearing in the woods. His original plan was to build a log cabin. He figured that it was possible for him: the memories of his set of Linkin Logs complemented this confident notion. But becasue he lacked some of the things required to make a good cabin, namely good furniture which included a BED, he had to start small-scale for this night. Unsheathing his dagger, Gavin began to cause it telekinetically zip through the air, slicing through many of the tree limbs. He called the dagger back to him as the limbs began to make loud thumps on the forest floor. After waving his hand at some of the limbs, they stood up in a small palisade fashion. Taking some other limbs, Gavin laid them acroos the gap formed by the two rows of vertical limbs, and after lashing them together with vines, he had created a small hut that would serve as a temporary shelter. He gathered some brush and made it into bedding. Exhausted, Gavin slipped into his structure and began to doze. The howling of wolves in the distance made him turn his head a little, but he reassured himself that he was powerful enough to take on anything in those woods that might try to attack him. With that thougt in his head, Gavin drifted off to sleep.

"Zeto?? Zeto!? Is that you?!" Gavin jumped up from his bed, thinking that Zeto had contacted him. As he opened his eyes, a bright light pierced his eyes. It was not Zeto's aura, however, but the sun. Morning had come, and Gavin came out of his small hut, refreshed. After rubbing his eyelids and stretching, he began to look around at his surroundings. He was indeed in a clearing, surrounded by thick groups of oak and pine trees on three sides, and looking seaward, he could see the highway upon which he landed the past night. With no further ado, Gavin leaped over the trees flanking the highway, and floated in the air, looking toward the city the highway was leading to. "This would be the first place to go" he thought. After floating downward and landing on the pavement, Gavin began to walk toward the city, amazed at the nil amount of traffic that traversed this road. Gavin had only walked a short distance when he came upon a bicycle, leaning against one of the trees lining the highway. "Why would anyone leave such a good bike out here?" Gavin thought. He couldn't argue with the convenience, however. He claimed the bike and began to pedal down the highway.
