Can you hear the shadows calling? (One experienced female character)

OOC: A tale of darkness, hope, despair, love, and good old fashion humor. I'm using Exin... And I asked for an experience charater so I may learn a few things... I'm not letting this die

Bic: Exin walked quietly along the shadows of some unknown land. He had absoultley no clue how he got here. The only obvivous gthing was the fog surrounding him.

A days ago, he was taking a stroll to one of his neighboring villages. along the way, he had sensed magical enegry coming from a hill above, strong enegry at that. He went to investigate, but all he turned up with is a strange, green gem. he stuck it in his pocket and continued on, wondering what that enegry was.

About an hour later, Exin noticed immense power lurking within the gem. It was way too evil of a power, a type of power that made Exin's bones shiver. He had decided to throw it away, but somehow, he couldn't. It was around this time when dark enegry seemed to come out from the earth itself...

A gaint dark hand rose from the ground and took Exin, burying him in shadow itself.

OoC: I shall join! I shall use my characer, Yuna. Oh yeah, that and I have expierience ^_^ There's a link to Yuna in my sig.

BiC: "Faster, faster!", Yuna yelled as she rode. Talius, her gurdian dragon, just glared at her, embarrassed, and said "Yuna! You've been on that toy horse for 45 minutes now! People are starting to think you're a crazy 15-year-old kid!"
The two of them were in the Walmart Super Center lobby, Yuna riding on one of those 25-cent rides that's shaped like a horse. The sun was shining through the sliding doors and the sky was as blue as it's always been. People are walking in and out of the store, the usual hustle-and-bustle.

Yuna continued riding the toy-horse, and said "Don't worry about it, Talius. No one here knows us anyway! Besides, I just want to ride it one more-"
Cut off from her sentence, the ride breaks down and smoke starts to come out of it. Talius just blinks, and said with a laugh "....I'd hate to say I told you so. You're too old for those things. But do you listen? Heck no!"
Yuna just crosses her arms, and replies "Fine. I get your point. Let's get out of here and see if there's a near by village to crash for the night of something."

Talius agrees, and the two of them leave the Walmart lobby and head out for the nearest village. As they ride in the aquamarine-colored sky, the wind blows in Yuna's hair and eyes, making her squint a bit along with the sunlight blaring in the eyes as well. Several minutes later, Talius locates a village, close to a small lake. Talius lands on the ground, in front of the village enterance, and says "Well, here we are. Now let's find that inn-"

Taluis was cut off from his sentence, just as Yuna was a little while ago, but this time by a glimpse of a green light. Yuna sees it too, points to it, and says "Talius....what's that light coming from? We must check it out!" Talius sighs, and replies "It's probably nothing serious, Yuna. Perhaps its some firefly with a huge, glowing-"

Once again, Talius is cut off, but because Yuna ignored Talius and went ahead to check out the strange, green glow ahead.

BIc: Exin continued to walk towards a green glow, just as he had for sometime now. He almost made it...
Just a few more steps...A little more...almost there...and... Before Exin could take another step, he felt a lurking, mystacial presence. It seemed to be tugging at his mind. It seemed to be whispering to Exin, "Fall asleep, young one... the shadows are coming for you."
Exin drew his staff, "WHo's there
All at once, Exin passed out, but not before seeing red eyes emerge fromn the darkness to attack.

BiC: Yuna and Talius continued to walk toward the green glow, until they reached a slightly wooded area. "Um, Yuna....what was that green glow that we saw?" Yuna shrugged, and said "I haven't the slightest clue. Come on...let's keep going".

Several minutes later, as Yuna and Talius kept walking, they finally reached what they were looking for...a strange green glow. "What the heck," Talius asked as they stared at it, "what is it??" Yuna looked at it...but it seemed to have red glowing eyes coming out of it too. She stepped a bit closer, but also saw a person's body standing there on the ground and was stopped dead in her tracks. A shadow/demon-like object came out of the green glow, towering over Yuna, and said in a raspy voice "Grahhhh!!! You will die in seven days.....I want a cookieeeee!!!!" Talius just blinked, looked at Yuna, and said "OK...I really think you should attack it."

Yuna agreed, and used her "Earthquake" spell. The ground shook violently and started to crack, and Talius whipped the demon-like thing with his tail...sending it down the cracks. A minute later, the cracks sealed up again, and the demon left. But...the person's body still remained there. Yuna stepped closer, getting a better look at the person.

Exin woke up in a clean lit room...was this...what heaven felt like? As he tried to sit up, he felt a pain in his stomach...nope, not heaven.
A woman in a ninja suit came in carrying a wash cloth and looked shock to seee exin awake, "Oh, hello... it's good to see you awake. Name's Yuna, and you have been asleep for two weeks now."

"Two weeks...woha, to be honest, i thought i was dead..." Exin said.

"When me and Talis found you next to that green glow, we thought you were dead as well... It's good to see you're up..."

"You've been taking care of me all this time? I can't thank you enough. My name is Exin denama, heir to the throne of Denshan." Exin said as he bowed.

"A prince?...wow, never met a prince before. Anyway, you rest, me and Talis are going to see what caused that light...I'm not sure it was that demon..."

Exin smiled, "Do you really think You're leaving me behind?"

OoC: Just for the record, Yuna is 15 years old...if you didn't know that ^_^

BiC: It's been two weeks since Yuna saved this guy, Exin, laying there on the ground where the demon was. She wondered about Exin, about his whereabouts, his past, all that crap. He seemed like a nice guy to her, and not to mention ultra cute....to Yuna anyway. With that smile of his, how could she deny it? Anyway, Yuna just looked at Exin for a minute, thinking if he should really come with her and Talius in his conditions. She figured he must be in pain a bit, but she considered his thought.

Yuna nodded, and replied "No, I wasn't going to leave you behind, I just didn't think that you were up to it. That's all". Exin just blinked, and said "Well yeah! I'm not about to stay here... I wanted to see about the green light as well." Yuna shrugged, smiled, and said "Okey dokey then...let's get a move-on then."

Exin started behind Yuna, but a thought suddenly entered his mind he reached out with his mind, "Tensai...can you hear me?"

"It's about time you contacted me!...what the heck happened?" Tensai replyed angrly...

"Apprantly, I was out for two weeks, but some ninja girl rescued me...do you think you can get over here?" Exin replyed

"Already on my way..." She replyed.

Mean while, Exin, Yuna, and Talis had reached the area where Exin fell... "I'll take care of this..." Exin said as he readied his earth staff, and opened a crack in the ground, the same one that had sealed the demon earlier. With a growl, the demon rose in the air. Before he could do anythink, however, Exin got out his water staff and sent a storm of icsicles to rain down on it, completley encasing it...

He went up to the demon and asked him, "Who's idea was this?"
"You think I'm telling yo-"
"WHO IS IT?!" Exin yelled angrily.
"I'm not saying..." The demon said mockingly... and that was the last straw. He removed his gauntlents and broke his spirit cuffs, creating a strong light.

The demon howled in pain, "grr...fine, it was some sort of power hungry person up north... He commands the shadows..."

"Thank you...good bye..." Exin said as he cast starburst, casusin a star to appear from his hads and hit the demon. WIth a cry, he dissapeared.

"Let's go." Exin said as he started to leave.

"Waait..." Yuna said, "The demon dropped somehthing.

Yuna looked at the item that the demon dropped, and she walked toward it. She kneeled on the ground, and saw that the demon dropped a necklace-like item complete with a red-colored gem in the center. She gazed at it for a while, got up, and ran to Exin.

"Exin! Look what the demon dropped!" Yuna said to Exin as she showed him the necklace. He looked at it for a second, and said "Hmm...that demon must have had that for some odd reason. Haven't the slightest clue." Yuna nodded, and replied "OK. Well, I'm going to hang onto it until we find out what it's for or if it was stolen by the demon from someone."

Yuna walked ahead, and said "So....where do we go now?"

"We head north....If someone is after the throne, i have to stop them... but first, we're going to an Inn" Exin said.

"umm...okay." Yuna just shrugged as she put the necklace away."

After a few hours Yuna said, " Do you feel a breeze?"

Surre enough, a powerful gust came through the air, "Oh, that's just Tensai...she probaly found us." He said as Tensai cam to land beside exin.

"Yuna's eyes lit up, "a pegasus... you are full of Surprises." She said as they all got on."

"It's going to be a bumpy ride." Exin said as they flew north.

Eventually, Tensai landed on the ground next to a small inn, though perfectly crowed. Every dismounted and made their way in. Exin hopped on a stool, "Dobule Ale plese." The bartender handed him a drink.

He then went over too one of the tables he stopped Yuna and said, "That's Shadow...he'd kill his own brother if the price was right. Follow my lead and don't say anything."

Exin sat down beside Shadowm "Hello, Shadow...I have a job for you... a big one."

"...sure, meet me tommoroow while I prepare."

Yuna overheard Exin talking to Shadow...this person she didn't know. She wondered what job Exin was going to give him. ...What if it was to do an assassination attempt? No, doubt it. As far as she was concerned, she didn't care as long as it didn't have to do with murder or something like that.

Talius, on the other hand, was too busy staring at Exin's pegasus. With it's white feathery wings and soft mane, how could he complain. Yuna laughed to herself about Talius liking things of different species, it was just odd. She continued to drink her ale, until Talius spoke up and said "hey..do pick up lines work on winged horses?' She just stared at him for a second, and said "I doubt it, Talius", as she laughed.

As for Exin, he kept talking to Shadow about the job he's going to give him. "OK. I'm going to expect you tommarow....don't be late!" Shadow nodded, and left the bar.

The next morning, Exin left the inn they were at and headed outside to meet Shadow. He was in his stealthist uniform, armed with a bag of shruikens and Katana's. Exin handed him a green jewel, then watched Shadow head notrh.

Later that night, Yuna and Exin were sitting on a bed playing a board game, when Shadow entered the room, "I'm back."

Exin looked up, "And?"

"You were right, something is really wrong at the castle. Your father has taken Ill and now the cheif of Millatary is forming their groups for war.

Yuna, sitting there with a game peice in her hand, had no idea what they were talking about. Exin and Shadow were discussing the options they had, what was going to happen, etc. "It's none of my business anyway", Yuna thought to herself, "but I hope everything will be OK for his father." So she just sat there, minding her own business.

"War?! But....so sudden?", Exin stammered as he sat there half-shocked. Shadow shrugged, and said "Yeah, war. Generals are being hired and soldiers are enlisting. I don't know what you want to be done...but that's up to you."
The conversation continued, Yuna still sitting there, then Shadow finally said "We'll figure things out later. Godd night for now, Exin.", and he walked out the door. Exin sighed, sat back down, and Yuna asked "Is everything alright, Exin? If I can help in any way possible....I'm willing to."

" I am glad you said that. With my father sick, Regent Lyon is acting as ruler. He is a master of the shadows, he controls the dead itself...I can use as many people to help find a way to stop him, because if not, It's going to end up in war, and with everybody on sides, it could get ugly fast. I need help getting there and reclaim the throne before an attack is launcheed. Shadow has agreed to help in any way possible."

"What can we do?" Yuna asked...

"I just don't know..." Exin said as he slid in his chair.

Yuna thought for a second, thinking of what she could do. "Do you know the illness that your dad has?" Exin looked up, and said "Heh, I'm pretty sure it's bronchitis. Usually, there would be medicine for him to take...but the local pharmacists went on strike recently. I'm worried for my father..." Exin began to become depressed about the situation, not wanting his kingdom to go down the drain. Yuna stared at him again, stuck at his cuteness. Or at least...that's what she thought he was. Anyway, she remembered that she bought a bottle of medicine a while ago, which could hopefully cure bronchitis.

"Exin! I have an idea! I bought a bottle of medicine that might be able to get rid of that illness of your father's. Do you know where he is right now??" Exin nodded, and said "He's probably in the kingdom's sanitorium." Yuna nodded, and said "Yeah, I figured. But this is important to me...and I want to see if my medicine can help him. Do you think Shadow would be able to give it to him? It says that it can cure almost anything."

"...yes, i'll see. But even though it may be bronchitist... i wonder how he got it... i think Lyon did this, so he would take the throne. Come on Yuna, We're leaving." Exin said as they left and flew on Tensai until they reached castle Denshan.

The castle looked just like it did when he last left...beautiful. The marble wsettings, the elegent architecture... Exin glanced at Yuna and Talis, who were looking up at the size of the castle.

"Big, isn't it?" Exin said as they approached one of the guards.

"Halt who goes- ... Prince Exin?" One of the guards said, dumbstruck.
"Yes it's me. Let me in..." Exin said as the guard stupidly moved aside for them to pass.

"Allright Yuna, keep your defenses up, Lyon's a master of shadows, and can posses people if you're not careful. Keep a weapon hidden at all times. Exin said as he got out his earth staff, and headed for a big set of doors. Using his staff, he created a sort of rock wave that burst the door in too, the proceeded angrily into the throne room.

Lyon was indeed there, but when he saw Exin, his jawws dropped open, "My Prince, what calls for you to bless us with your-" He tried acted to act pleasent.

"Stow it Lyon. I'm not very happy. You have a lot of explaining to do."

Lyon stared at Exin, flaggergasted at his greeting instead of the old "Oh, greetings to you to Lyon" or some other cliche response. "W-what ever do you mean, my dear prince?", Lyon asked as if he was an innocent bystander. Exin shook his head, arched his forehead, and replied "Don't play dumb with me, buddy. I know that you have been trying to screw things up for my father just so you can have his throne."

Lyon then said "I did no such-" But he was cut off by Exin who said "Bull crap you didn't! You're so hungry for power that you'll do anything to get it, even getting my father sick! But guess what...this ends now!"

Lyon drew a staff with a dark orb in it. "What do you plan to do?"
" A magical duel. Two-on-two. I just know you had help, so bring him out."

"...i don't want to my prince...but if you insist." A crawly man appeared out of nowhere.

"Allright, me and Yuna against you two."

So from there, the battle began. Exin uses a spell from his staff on Lyon, making Lyon shriek like a little girl. "Grahh!! It burrrnsss!!", Lyon screamed, "make it go away!!" Exin ignored Lyon's girliness, and threw him in the air and kicked him in midair. As Lyon was being beaten up by Exin, Yuna was beating the crap out of the crawly guy. "I...like....milkkk...", the guy muttered, "and you will...tooo". Yuna was creeped out by this guy, and headbutted him, making his nose bleed and probably break. Then the guy threw a shadow ball at her, but she used her acid shield to block it.

As Exin was kicking Lyon's behind,Exin asked, "Why take over the castle?"
"It's not the castle...You experienced a demon earlier? I take it you took the necklace?" Lyon asked.

"Yeeah...why?"
"Fool! Do you not even realize the celestrail triad?"
Exin's eyes widned, "time out!" He said as Lyon and Exin huddled and started whispering. Then they both leaped to their origanal position, "Yuna, what ever you do, don't let Lyon have that necklace!"

Yuna looked at Exin for a minute, realized what he said, and replied "Will do!" as she threw the other guy she was fighting. She took the necklace out of her pocket, and put it in the chest area of her ninja suit. As Exin was beating the crap out of Lyon again, Lyon started to get away from Exin and to fight Yuna for the necklace. He made a fist and tried to punch her, but she dodged the attack and kicked him in the face. He stepped back in pain for a minute, but quickly went to try again.

"Give me that necklace...you have no reason to have it", Lyon exclaimed. He then reached for the necklace in her chest area, but was quickly whipped away by a dragon's tail. The tail of Talius, her guardian dragon. Lyon was hit so hard that he was knocked into the air and landed against the castle walls. "Thank goodness!", Yuna thought to herself, "saved by Talius from a perv."

Lyon, by this time, was breathing hard for air. Exin walked toward Yuna, and Talius walked in front of Lyon. "Now...that's no way to treat a lady, you pervert!" Talius scolded as he watched Lyon sitting there. Yuna then said "Yeah! Who do you think you are anyway? Trying to touch a girl!" Lyon started to get mad, and said "I am NOT a pervert! I was set up! That's where she put the necklace." Then, castle guards came in, and asked "What's going on here? Who's the pervy shadow master??"

Everyone pointed at Lyon, so the guards cuffed him and started to haul him away. "Wait!! I'm not a pervy shadow master! I swear officer, I didn't know she was 15. And I was set up!" The guard just rolls his eyes and says "Yeah yeah, that's what Jiraiya said when he was looking at girls at the waterfall! Let's book him!"

So from there, Lyon was hauled off to the brig. "Nice thinking Yuna!" Exin said to Yuna, even though a bit disturbed from the whole incident. Yuna just winks and says "Yeah, I know I'm a genius."
