The Pearl of the White Knight (Anyone)

OOC: This is a thread basically going to be used to help upgrade one of my other characters. Yours may come along for the ride. A lot of this quest will take place underwater, so take that into consideration. Using Raziel, link in sig. Any number of people may join, as well.

BIC: He approached the sands, his heavy footsteps sinking into the soft grains. The sun's bright glare twinkled off the endless water, causing him to shade his eyesight. His thick clothing stuck against his rather tan skin. The air hung with a thick sense of humidity, for some reason the sun enjoyed giving this day a blistering heat.

As he neared the lapping waves and a small rocky outcropping near the deeper part, His mind wandered back to his friend's wise words.

"If you want to learn magic Raziel, you'll need some help. Most artifiacts have been discovered by now, you know."

"I know that." The lycan shook his head, his neck-length dark blue strings of hair waving wildly. "You don't understand, Kimiku. I'll do anything. I have to have something to protect with. Even if it means against myself."

The witch gazed up into his dark brown eyes, seeing only determination. "There is one way. I know of a pearl that contains magical tendencies here. If you find that and bring it back to me, maybe you can learn. Then, and only then, I'll teach you what I know."

"Where do I go?"

"Go to the ocean and dive down to the deepest parts, where there's no more light. Once you pass through a cavern, there'll be a shipwreck. This is all a rumor, but they've said to have carried a pearl on their ship. This pearl contains magical tendencies."

"But how will I dive down through the water to retrieve it?"

"Some things I cannot help you with. I suggest you give up the whole idea of it now."

"I won't give up." He stated, leaping from one rock to the other, pausing near the outcropping to glance at the map she had scrawled for him. "This looks like a good spot to start. Once I'm underwater, I should be able to find those markings she warned me of. They will guide me to the cavern, and once I'm through that, I can find the shipwreck and the pearl. There's only one thing that presents a problem." He sat down, his cape dragging in the wet tidepools behind him. "How will I hold my breath that long?"

I'll us may character Zoralo. I have a link to him on my sig. I don't have time right now son I'll post it later.

"What are you doing near may home," a zora asked walking to the beach. The zora pulled out a sword ready to attack.

"Y....you....your home? Sorry, I didn't know." Raziel said as he was trying to escape. Then an idea hit him. "I'm looking for a pearl, at the bottom of this ocean," Raziel explained, "do you think you can help me?"

"Depends. First, what's your name," the zora asked

"Raziel"

"I'm Zoralo. Now this pearl, you said it was at the bottom of this ocean," Zoralo asked.

"Yes, I heard it has magical powers. I need to get it so I can get more magical strength," Raziel explained.

"Yes, I've heard of this pearl. Saw it with my own eyes, but you'll never be able to get to it. One, you can't breath under water. And two, it's guarded by a mysterious force. If I couldn't get it, no one will."

"So it is down there for sure? Can you help.....no I have to get it one my own."

"Heh, pathetic. Yes it's down there and stop being so mocho and ask for help. No, I can't help you, but I will give you permission to search in my area. I'm sure we'll meet. So long, for now." With that said, Zoralo dived into the ocean an swam off.

"So it is here. Now I really can't wait to find it, but I still can't breath under water." Deprest, Raziel sat on the rock and continued to look out into the distance, trying to find a way to breath under water.

OoC: Using Sara Wildfire.

BiC: Sara strolled quietly through the wood in a happy mood to day. The trees stood tall over her almost covering the sunlight. The dirt path she walked made her jump over fallen branches. The young women had just left another city after over hearing about a wonderful pearl. She just had to see this jewel for herself, the thought of the pearl made her move on faster.

Vines hung off for the treetops and her view was getting brighter. She could make out a sandy beach out in the distant. Getting closer to the end of the forest see saw a man sitting on one of the many rocks. The man’s blue shirt waved around with the light breeze that blew around the shore. He seemed to be in deep thought about something.

“Get someone else is here. Well maybe they know more about this pearl?” Sara said walking closer to the man. “Hey, you there!” She called out waving her hands in the air.

Raziel turned around only his head to see the young women waving her hand then stop. Sara stopped moving forward after noticing that the person was a man. Get just my day to run into a man, she thought lowering her head. She wasn’t really angry just disappointed that it was a man. She thought back to why she was there before saying anything else.

A young beautiful woman with long light brown hair walked into the city of Giden. The place was a rundown old poor city. The people were dirty, under feed, and some sick, but the Sara knew this was the best place to look for something to do. She strolled the city listening to the stories being told around the streets.

Sara was about to leave the place when she heard a man talk about a beautiful pearl any women would die to see. She stopped and listened to the tale of the great pearl story about what it could do. Half of the things she heard were to stupid to believe, but some of the stuff sounded real.

That’s right I set off to see this magical pearl. So, I guess I could put up with a few man. Though, I never did try using my Triton spell to push lower water pusher and form air water around me. But the sea god will answer my call and make sure I’m safe.

She sighed a little and then finally walked closer. “What are you doing on the rock like that?” It took everything she had not to sound like she hated him. “My name is Wildfire Sara, thought you can call me Sara and yours?”

OOC: Sorry for the shortness, but it couldn't be helped.

BIC: "Raziel." He responded, still slightly disheartened. The fish-like person, which had given him a near heart attack at his quick entrance and parting, had refused to be able to help. Cocky fish-person, wasn't he? Oh well.

The girl seemed to give him some hope with her smile, though she didn't seem to look very cheery once she saw what he looked like. "Sara. I like that name. I'm waiting for some help to come, a sign, maybe."

"For what reason?"

"Well, if you must know, I need to find this pearl."

"The pearl of magic? The one that's supposed to contain a lot of enchantments or something when used by someone who knows what he or she is doing?"

"That's the one." Raziel supported his chin in his hand thoughtfully. "I need to to protect others, even myself. I don't want any more harm to come to those I love. This will give me great power, I think. Not something I really want, but something I may need. I want this."

Sara seemed quiet for a few moments. "So you don't want it for yourself?"

"Well... I am going to take it and use it, but not for me. I feel it may do more bad than good, but the good overweighs the bad that may happen to me."

"... I think I can help."

Sara was confused by what the young man was trying to tell her. There was something but him that was different from the other that didn’t make her want to walk away, but at the same time she didn’t trust him. While thinking about how to get her pray to work like she wanted the young women walked towards the sea. The beautiful blue seawater splashed up against the rocks. The tide was coming closer into shore and the small light breeze died down.

Sara closed her eyes with Raziel following right behind her. She walked in a straight line down towards the water keeping her balance. “Lord of all water, Poseidon!” Underneath her feet the ground start to glow. “I wish that you lend us the power to across under water.” Sara foot stepped in the water under her feet an air bubble formed. The women upped her eyes and yelled, “Lets go!” Grabbing the Raziel arm and dived into the water.

The air bubble fully formed around both of them. Sara body became light as if she was still in the water. “Stay close but lead the way. Are body acts light we are swim but we are breathing endless air.” Sara said keeping her body under the water.

Raziel moved out in front swimming deeper into the water. Sara looked at the fishes as she passed by. She had never seen anything like the glowing green sea floor. “It’s beautiful.”

“Come on lets hurry up.” Raziel said picking up speed in. Sara also picked up her speed looking at the sea life around her.

Raziel took a deep breath, assuming he would accustom to the whole "breathing under the water" thing eventually. Before he did anything, however, Raziel practiced some of the mannerisms he knew. He turned to Sara, lowering his head and voice slightly. "... Thank you."

"You're... Welcome?" Her voice gave the hint of surprise.

Raziel did not doubt she had heard little of gratitude from men these days. Most males he had met hardly knew the meaning of "polite." He only knew from the point of his mother's teachings. His eyesight took in what he noticed, so many vivid colorings, so many different creatures. God must have been very creative. A sea turtle swam past, and Raziel smiled. "Hey, look. That means we're getting a little deeper."

Mutliple fish swam by, ever color and shape Raziel could think of, some he couldn't. "According to myth, it's supposed to be where there's no more light, the pearl is like a beacon in the dark, a lighthouse underwater, if you see it that way." He paused for a second. "Hold on. We have to let the blood in our bodies adjust to the pressure or we won't live long." He turned to face her. "Why are you helping me, anyway?"

"I'm not sure." Sara replied.

"Hm. Well, in any case, thank you. It's very kind of you to offer. Without your assistance and knowledge of how to do this, I wouldn't be getting anywhere." Raziel began to dive deeper, the fish becoming less and less colorful and the swirling variations of reefs dimmed down to a few. "We may be running into a few problems." Raziel commented after a moment, coming to a drop-off that led into darkness, the water pressing on until he could no longer see.

"Such as?" Sara asked, blinking as she treaded beside him.

"For one, it's extremely cold, we could possibly freeze to death if we go that deep. Two, there's not enough light to see where we are going, and three, the pressure will be too great for our bodies as we are now. Any suggestions?" He asked as he treaded water as well, air bubbles escaping his mouth while he spoke.

OoC: Mind if I join?

BiC: Talon had decided it was time for fish. He was getting hungry and fish sounded very good at the moment. He leapt in to the air and spread his massive wings. With one flap of his wings he shot up a good hundred feet. Talon glided along heading for the ocean. He had the perfect spot in mind for his favorite fish. After a couple of miles of rolling green hills later he reached the ocean and plunged into the water. The fish he was looking for lived far below the ocean surface. Talon stayed close to the ocean floor as it descended deeper and deeper.

Then something caught his eye. It was the most unusual thing he had ever seen. With his dragon eyes he was able to see them from his far distance. There was a man and a girl floating over a deep drop where the water started getting to dark to see, for them at least. They appeared to be in little bubble suites that must have allowed them to breathe and survive at these depths. Talon decided to go over and investigate.

“The pressure will be too great for our bodies as we are now. Any suggestions?" Talon heard the male say.

He snuck up on them was amused by their surprise when they noticed the blue dragon that seemed to have come out of nowhere.

Then is struck Talon that he had no idea what to say. “…Hello… I’m Talon… what are you two doing down here?”

The two of them didn’t say anything for a moment. Finally the man spoke up. “We are looking for something… A magic pearl. Have you heard of it?” he asked

“…Nope”

Oh, well… I hope I’m not out of line, but any chance you wouldn’t mind helping us find it? I hear it’s protected by a mysterious force and we could use any help we can get.”

“um… …sure, I guess I have nothing better to do…” he said thinking about the delicious fish he was forfeiting. It wasn’t that he was dieing of hunger, he just had a huge craving.

“Um… do you have any idea how we can get down further without the pressure of the water… killing us?” asked Raziel

Talon thought for a moment. “I don’t know… I might be able to create an ice sphere and take you down lower but that’s not a very good idea cause you’d be stuck in it… until we got up here again that is.”

Great other one, Sara thought thinking of a better way then what the dragon what's them to do. "I'm sure I can come up with a better idea then that." Boys, do they think things through? She looked around to see the beautiful sea life swimming around.

"Well what is your idea then Sara?” Raziel asked.

"I got it. We’ll just ride a wave down to the bottom. The wave would be so strong to move the ocean enough so that the presser will not be a factor."

"How do you plan on summoning a big wave that's strong enough to do this?" Talon asked.

Sara just smiled to the question and closed her eyes. "Powerful god of the sea and water, I call upon your aid in battle and in life. Triton give hope back to the world and call your powerful waves of water,” She chanted. Up in the sky big dark clouds formed and the water became harder to see. Then a big wave of water parted the ocean grabbing the three in its wake.

The wave of water took them down to the lowest part of the sea. The ocean floor was soft mud as the three rode the wave into a cave. The wave ride stopped just a little ways into the dark cave. Sara shook herself cold from her wet cloths and legs. "Well, were in." She said pulling her white cross sword out. “Oh, great serpent of the sea guide me to the heavens in your sea of flames.” The sword became full of flames light the place up a bit.

The black cave wall dripped with water. She looked behind her to the water level not going any higher up. "Bbberrrr, it's cold in here." She said shaking looking for the other two. The other two landed a little ahead of her and where just getting up.

OoC: I)ragon11, please don't go OoCing in the middle of your posts. Please it just breaks the flow of the post.

OoC: Sorry for the delay, but I need to work on other things in my life as well… And I think Sara is right. Boys don’t think things through.

BiC: A wave? Raziel thought deeply, smiling. She’s smart.

"How do you plan on summoning a big wave that's strong enough to do this?" Raziel turned to look at the new acquaintance and then to Sara. He had never seen any power like this; he began to doubt if it were wise to anger her. Very much surprised and woozy from the wild ride down to this cavern, Raziel took a moment to control himself.

“Whoah…” He pushed himself up to his feet, leaning against the cavern’s slick wall. “How is this possible? An underground cavern that isn’t full of water? It should be right, since it follows the legend, but still, it’s hard to believe.”

“Not for me.” The new person claimed, seemingly unfazed, or not as much as Raziel. The werewolf smiled at Sara as she lit up the dark void in the cavern. “Why does it smell like wet dog in here?” Talon asked.

“Thank you.” Raziel said to Sara, shaking himself much like a canine would as the water dripped from his hair and clothing. Truth be told, he didn’t mind at all. He liked the ocean, so being drenched really didn’t bother him all that much. “That smell would be my fault, I’m afraid. I can’t control it.” He tried to stop the creeping flush that exposed his skin as pink instead of normal tan. “Let’s keep going. Past this cavern, towards the end, there should be a hole for water leading to the sunken ship.”

“Okay.” Sara nodded, and spread the light to a greater amount, helping them to see better.

“I don’t think I ever got to introduce myself to you.” Raziel said, turning to face the dragon. “I’m Raziel. You’re welcome to continue to join us, if you’d like to settle your curiosity.” He jumped past every few tide pools he came upon, marveling at the strange creatures entering his sight.

Bah, a wave. It wouldn’t have lasted forever. My idea would have been better if this cave weren’t here. Talon looked around at the slippery cavern. “I’m surprised I’ve never seen this place before, I’ve swam around it enough.” he followed behind the two humans observing the strange insects and such crawling through crevasses and into the pools. Talon noticed a particularly tasty looking bug and snatched it up.

They walked on for a little ways when Talon stopped., “…Do you guys here that?” they both turned to look at him.

“Here what?” asked the girl with a look on her face that said, are you trying to waist our time?

Raziel’s ears seemed to twitch and he squinted behind Talons shoulder. Talon looked behind him and with his dragon sight he could make out a strange movement. Suddenly two immense centipede looking insects shot out of the dark. They both lunged strait past Talon at the two humans, their speed taking them all by surprise. Just as they passed the dragon he grabbed the end of one with his ax tail and swung his tail around smashing the insect into the cave wall. He looked back at the other two to see that they had dodged the bug and two daggers where sticking out of its head. It squirmed in agony and slammed its front into the left wall where Sara stood. She ducked low as the centipede passed and held her flaming sword over her cutting the insects head clean off.

Talon then felt a sharp pain in his leg and looked back to see the second bug sticking its mandibles into his back leg. He roared in pain and stabbed his tail into it and raked it with his claw. It squirmed but did no let go. The blue dragon pulled himself over to a wall smashing the insect hard against it, still to no avail. Two daggers struck into its head as Sara wildfire leapt on its back impaling the centipede with her flaming blade. The insect jolted hard flinging Sara threw the air into the ceiling. It had finally let go of Talons leg as he reared back his head and unleashed a blast of ice that threw the bug against the wall, incasing it in a thick layer of ice.

OoC: Not fair Sakume. I think thing through before I do them, but the guys in this rp really don't seem to be thinking ahead. Now more talking and traps less fighting random bugs please. I think Sara can do the rest of the yelling. :p

Bic: “Can we go now or do you want to embarrass yourself some more,” Sara snarled, as she turned away from the dragon. The bright orange flame grew bigger lighting up more of the cave ahead.

“What’s your problem Sara? You’ve been nothing, but mean to me since I met you,” Talon asked looking at the back of the young women.

“You are dumb a’’ and will get me killed if you keep it up!” she yelled turning around, and glared at the Talon. Hells fire could be seen looking in her eye. “Have you once thought about how strong this cave maybe!?” She took a step closer towards the dragon. She switched how she was holding the sword. The flames were died down slowly as she got closer to him. “Swing your tail around like that without a care in the world! What the hell do you think would happen if you broke the cave wall!?”

Raziel jumped in front of Sara, getting in the middle of her and the dragon. He grabbed the young woman arm with the sword holding her back. “Ok, calm down. If you start to fight now Sara you’ll be doing something your mad at him about.” He said to her staring deep into her dark brown eyes.

Sara snatched her arm away from Raziel. “You should learn a thing your to from Raziel. I wish all men were a little more like him. Even so Raziel you’re doing things without thinking too. So don’t start thinking your better then him,” She said and turned back around.

The group walked in silent down the dark cave. Water dripped down from the walls, the cave floor now with a thin layer of water. Clear crystal rocks absorbed in the light from the flames. The rock lit the path ahead of them clearly. A room could now be seen ahead for them off in the distant.

Sara mind weakened from walking so long with her spell active. Her eyes become heavy, her pace became slow, the fire died out. Her body fell against the rock wall and finally the guy knew something was wrong as she continued down the cave.

Her whole body fell back and Raziel ran up and caught her. The young women eyes closed and her breathing shallow. “Sara. Sara are you alright?” the young man asked shaking her awake. Talon looking over Raziel shoulders as the women opened her eyes.

“I’m fine. Lets keep going. Must have use my magic and little too long,” she said getting up off the wet floor. “Great I’m wet again.”

“Well she seem fine so let go on,” Talon said looking at the room just a few feet ahead.

“Really there is no need to worry about me. I would be more worried about Talon killing us then anything else. Now if it were the dragon you wouldn’t have caught him. So, lets go and see what’s up ahead here. I beat we must be getting close.”

“Well, if your feeling fine lets go.”

Sara stepped into a dome sector of the long cave they been walking for a while. The glass floor echoed their footsteps as the rest of the group made it into the room. The walls covered in the crystal rock that lit up the room. Under the glass floor the group could see a giant waterfall below them. In front of the group stood a large diamond Pedestal. “What a odd place we’ve come into. It looks like we maybe at a dead end if we don’t find anything.” Sara said wandering around the big room. She brushed her soft hands along the clear walls feeling the shape edges.

The other two when to the middle of the room staring at the tall beam. Raziel touched the beam but nothing happen. Then the Talon tried to activate some kind of hidden powers the room may have.

Sara continued running her handed along the rock wall. She stopped and bent down, looking at the glass floor. She saw herself through the glass, but looked on at the waterfall below. She glared on, but couldn’t see what she thought to be stairs at first. Her deep thought about what she saw, stopped by Raziel voice calling her. “Hey, Sara you find anything yet,” he called out.

Sara closed her eyes and shook her in disappointment of not finding anything to help. She continued on looking at the wall, as did the rest of the group. Raziel touched the wall and the sharp edge cut his finger. A drop on blood fell to the ground and words appeared written in blood.

On your journey below the sea one will find three gems. These gems will unlock one of three doors at the end of the road. To reach the pearl remember the ocean is fierce, but the wind will guide your path you seek. Staircase to the waterfall opened up in the glass floor.

OoC: Ok, Sakume, you can take it away from here.

BiC: “You are dumb a’’ and will get me killed if you keep it up! Have you once thought about how strong this cave maybe!?” Raziel flinched visibly at the sight of She took a step closer towards the dragon. She switched how she was holding the sword. So don’t start thinking you’re better then him,” She said and turned back around. Raziel nodded dumbly; hardly able to believe he had just been chewed out. Women…

Raziel walked on in silence for a while until he saw Sara stumble back in what seemed a swoon. He leaped forward and caught her. Her skin appeared pale. “Sara! Sara, are you alright?” the young man asked, shaking her awake.

“I’m fine. Let’s keep going. Must have use my magic and little too long,” she said getting up off the wet floor. “Great, I’m wet again.” Raziel mentally sighed in thanks, but he remained quiet.

Raziel eyed the woman carefully, cocking his head to inspect her further. “Well, if you're feeling fine… Let’s go.”

Odd, indeed. Raziel thought, glancing about the large room. He reached a finger towards the pedestal in the center of the room, when nothing happened, he sighed. He continued to examine the general strange room. I bet no one has seen this room for hundreds, maybe thousands of years… Boy, Lorelei would love it… “Hey, Sara you find anything yet?” The woman shook her head, and Raziel pursed his lip, running a hand along the sharp edge. “Ouch!” He shouted, bringing it back. A sliver of dark blood fell from his fingertip, words appearing on the floor as it struck.

I suck at riddles. Raziel thought, examining the words for a last moment before they disappeared. He repeated the verse over and over in his head as he saw the wall part and stairs appear. Staircase to the waterfall opened up in the glass floor. “The wind… Will guide your path. How is there wind underwater?” Raziel asked thoughtfully. “That doesn’t make any sense… Unless the wind means something else…” He furrowed his brow, running a hand through his dark locks. “But what?”

What, indeed… New words had appeared at Raziel’s question where the rhyme had been before.

“How… Wait, what?” Raziel blinked, and the words had gone. He stared at the spot for a few moments until Sara’s voice snapped him out of his stance.

“Are you coming?” She asked, motioning for him to follow.

“Of course! Just… Hm. Nothing. We should find the three gems, and then the gems should unlock one door out of the three. Well, this pearl is definitely well-protected, if nothing else.”
