What NOT to do while Role-Playing

Okay, this is where Star Boy and I shall be placing our "What NOT to do" examples.

So, now that they are up, I guess I should explain what exactly this is.

Things that will get you in trouble, plain and simple. Do not get caught having done ANY of this, or you shall be reprimanded (in big trouble.) Now, without further adu... something that is saddeningly horrible.

The work you're about to see is offensive not only to your eyes, but to your intellect as well (I hope). Please learn from this intense dramatization of actual events.

What I am displaying here is horrid grammar and spelling, so called "1337" speak, controlling another character's thoughts and all around not being fair, and trying to get in a full-fledged battle (well...kinda) within a RP.

"im jim and u r not suuposed to drank" the main said. "shut up" i said and joshjosh and jim started to fight in the bar breaking lots of tables and tearing up everything jim was weak a stoopid tho so joshjosh broke his face with a chare. jim got up tho b/c he was still alive even though he got hit in the face w/ a jagged chare so wen jim got back up i stabbed h im in the heart with the dder antler that my farthers farthers farther gave him when he was a baby in the jungle.

"My heart is hurting" jim thought to himself when he looked at the antler in his right ventricle "josh-josh is so much stronger than me that i can never ever beat him" so jim becomed josh-josh's man servent.

Holy mother of God. What in the Seven Hells is wrong with you people? Have you lost your minds? I have never seen such rampant abuse of the English language in all my life! Heck, even Gaia pales in comparison to this! *sighs* There's so much wrong with this that it would take forever to point out. >_< Well, I'd better get started...

1) Only a few captalized letters, and none are where they should be.

2) HORRIBLE grammar with almost no punctuation.

3) The post was only one line long.

4) All three sentences were poorly constructed, and one didn't even make sense.

5) Vulgar swearing where entirely unnecessary.

My God...how so many literary atrocities can be crammed into just three sentences is beyond me. LinkMS, that post should go in the Hall of Shame or something. I, er, congratulate you on your, uh, success.

1) 1337, the tongue of n00bs. (Hypocritically enough.)

2) Again, very poor grammar and awful punctuation.

3) While I think one capitalized letter was in the right spot, the rest were everywhere else.

4) You attempted to control another player's character's thoughts. This is strictly prohibited in role-playing.

5) No storyline whatsoever. This mistake should be avoided at all costs.

6) The characters engaged in direct combat, and this was the focus of the RPG...if you can call it that.

7) The turnout was so horribly ridiculous and pointless that it should be set aflame. Alongside Bill Gates.

8) His what came from where?

There were countless things wrong with this post that I cannot go into deep detail on because they are more deeply rooted in the English language. In short, both of these people should have read the rules and gone to the Battle School. If any of this reminds you of something you've done, then please, for the love of all that is good, go to the Battle School. I'm begging you.
