Dunno if she's gonna end up deciding or not, though, she also said something about possibly discussing ideas here first.

And to be totally honest, Valentine's Day didn't once cross my mind until it was mentioned here. Even if I still had the choice of theme, I don't think I would have even thought of it.

Well, that's stupid. :/

It doesn't matter if it's stupid-- and Valentine's Day is not even that notable. It's less notable than Halloween-- it's like St. Patrick's Day in the US.

Regardless, Holly has the final say, so if she wants to do it or thinks it's worth it because other people want it to be, then it'll be Valentine's Day. But she doesn't have to. I quite liked her other ideas, which have more potential than Valentine's Day does.

Try looking stuff up, maybe that'd answer your question.

^Well, I can certainly tell you I won't be entering if THAT is the theme. This "Mardi Gras" thing just doesn't interest me.

That's perfectly fine. Nobody is forcing you to.
But you do not have the choice of theme, the winners do.

We don't need to be negative, or provoke the negativity as it is. If you don't like the theme, then just ignore the thread and wait for the next one.

I wish I could, but I'm not gonna be around the site for it. I really liked one idea in particular she had. But I'm not gonna say any of them, because that's for her to do. But it's one theme I wish I could have joined.

I very well know that, thank you. I just wanted to voice my opinion on what I thought it was most likely going to be, but apparently I am wrong.

Um, well I actually completely forgot about Valentine's day so its safe to say thats not the theme I was thinking about.

The theme I have in mind is Water because I love the vague entries where you can make it into whatever you want as long as it somehow fits the theme. Hey, you can even put add some romance with the theme if you wanted to!

So does everyone like this theme or not? :3

I wish I could join this one, I love the idea of a water-based theme. There's so much you can do with it, and I find water to be one of the most beautiful things on the planet.

EDIT: ...despite how much I detest actually swimming in it.

I'll go for water! :]

I wonder what I should draw though.

Well I'm glad that the theme isn't Mardi-Gras. Water has so much potential for abstract art. The people here at ZU are so amazingly talented. I just had a search through the winners circle and older art contest threads and wow.

You guys are amazing. And the fact that many of your return each month with new ideas is awesome. I'm really excited to see what gets composed this month.

Yeah I suppose, I was just throwing it out there. Because there are new members, like Dina, that didn't know about it until I told her. But I think if they see the voting thread they will know about the contest altogether.

I'll see if we can get a mention in the podcast. I know we do mention ithe contest results, but we haven't been so good at saying "it's in the Art forums, in "art arena" blah blah blah, so yeah. That's my bit
