Why is it called Signature of the WEEK then? If it goes longer than a week, that pretty much defeats the whole point of the contest.

No, I'm not. I'm being realistic. If it's Signature of the Week, it should go for one week. No more, no less. No excuses. Making it longer isn't fair to those who rightfully won in a tie until someone comes in too late and breaks the tie. I would be saying the same thing even if someone else was in first instead of me.

e_alert's vote should NOT count, whoever was in first or not.

You never complained until you were being affected by it, it's always been like this, Pani takes a little extra time to get the stuff done, who cares?

Personally, I don't give a sh-t either way.

I care. I have to win. I'm not trying to win just to win, I have a reason. Pani keeps denying me my graphics teacher status, and I think if I won a sig of the week or two, she might give it back to me thinking I improved enough. Also, I didn't notice this before. It's a good thing I did though, because I would be saying the same thing if it happened again, whether I came in first or not.

Stony, the rules of SotW aren't that strict. I should know, I wrote them. Voting ends when the thread closes. Besides, a good number of the threads have been left open for an extra week before due to lack of votes.

Oh, so suddenly this is about being a teacher. Honestly, open you eyes. You're trying to look impressive by winning SotW, and in doing so you're whining and complaining in this thread. Take a step back, and tell me: Is this more helpful or harmful to your chances?

Obviously none of you got my point. I didn't mean sig of the week makes me better. If I got a lot of votes, that obviously means my sig was very good. I never got first place before, and now I have. That means I have improved. If this keeps up, I would have improved more.

Anyways, I think the rules are going to stay where they were. The point of SotW was to have a constant, easy to enter, easy to follow contest that everyone could participate in all the time. Not to stuff it full of rules and start fights. It's meant to be fun, and laid back. Not start wars and become the most competitive thing on ZU.

I see your side. You don't want EA's vote to count because it was made two hours after the official end of week and think it's unfair only because you wanted to win.

Now you're exaggerating, Doggy. I didn't say to stuff it full of rules or start fights. And like I said, I didn't want to win for the sake of winning. I wanted to win to see my improvement. If I do better than I've done before, aka, get stuck in second every time I do get a place, then that means I've improved. Second place is boring for me now. I want something different.
