August Monthly Contest!

Welcome to this month's contest!

This month's theme will be Macabre! Ooh, interesting huh? It'll be fun to see what people will come up with. :>

The contest will start on the 14th and will finish on the 31st. Though I've already gotten an entry so yeah, the moment you find out what a theme is go ahead and start.

Recently, I've been asked about ratings for the entries. Like G, PG, etc. In my opinion anything up to MA15+ will be fine, but anything over will be really pushing it. If you're not sure the picture goes into the rating ask me.

If you have any other questions/complaints/obvious mistakes that need pointing out, please tell me in this thread, in the discussion thread or to me directly!

I like this theme. Although, it is really hard to draw Macabre.

What the hell is MA15? Is that like PG-13?

The MA15+ rating is restricted to those 15 and over meaning those under 15 cannot legally view the film/picture/whatever without being accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. It may contain strong bloody violence if justified by context, strong implication of sexual activity, and strong impact coarse language (though “very coarse language” should be infrequent), and “strong themes”.

In otherwords everything you think a 15 year old can handle.

If I'm lucky I have enough time to enter something more sketchy.

So inbetween PG13 and your R.

Basicly nothing too over the top I guess.

SO i started something that has a macabre-esque theme. but. I have no idea if I'll actually submit it. haa i think it might end up pushing the rating.

but if i get something of mine back from a friend then i may draw something else for the contest. :3

I'm almost finished with mine! It looks very crappy cause I don't know how to really draw Macabre. I never drew something grotesque or yucky or scary so I'm winging it all. :3 Can't wait to see all the entries.

I've finished mine already, because I knew the topic in advance.

I'll start working on mine soon enough, since I seem to have a good picture in my mind of what I want to draw.

Awesome, now I won't have to wait till Halloween to do this kind of subject!

I finished mine! It looks really rushed and sloppy but oh well. I like it.

I am so pumped for this contest! Right now, I haven't started (I'm working on 3 other drawings at the moment), but I have an old sketch of mine that I can use as reference for this theme.

Wow looks like there will be some very tough comptetition again this time.
I'm being quite slow for some reason and hope I can finish it in time.

It would be awesome if we got many entries in again!

I've got an idea for this - I hope I can bring it to fruition in time. :3
