Free-Style Barrage

We may be off to a bumpy start, but things are still moving along as we get into out second event of the Gender Wars. This thread is for any comments and discussion regarding the Free-Style Barrage. For more information, rules, or to submit/listen to entries, please visit that thread.

Let the battle begin!

The darkness came out of the seal
The daimaou fortified with zeal
His kingdom is the Dark World
And the clouds unfurled
Over the little kingdom of Hyrule
Nestled between mountains and trees
He waited in his makai for a duel
Having entered without using the keys
Trident in left, deception in right
Deceived the King and took control
Ganon in dark, Agahnim in light
Received the thing that shook his soul
Power by theft, power in sight
Sealed the daughters of the ancients
Stolen spark, strength at height
The worlds spiraled into descents
Who will rectify the curse of curses?
So the fortune of Hyrule reverses?
Will the Hero triumph on Cataclysm's eve?
Will he win the three symbols of virtue?
Is it the great Master Sword that he will retrieve?
Will the Hero keep the Knights blood line true?

Prepare for destruction. Power Shot's writing a poem-rap to combat anything the girls can come up with. In a Scottish accent.

You're bringing the black girl out of the white girl, Power Shot. You dayum well better be prepared.

I've been coming up with random raps in different topics for no reason as preparation for this.

I think I've stated 5 times that I can't do this... And last week I got a PM from power shot about me being in this.

So the lassie's have posted, but the "men" are no shows. Does that make us winners by default? I kinda hope not. It would seem like effort, well, not wasted but not uncontested. . .

It's old man Shots and Battler that are posting for the boys, right? The deadline's past- get a move on it!

It's now 12:10am in EST. But didn't Eve keep saying to stick with PST? And that would give about three more hours for the guy team.

(Also, Shots is supposedly working on his entry as we speak. So hopefully that'll happen soon.)

There was no Scottish accent, mostly because mine is loud and my folks disapprove of my vocal talents at such an hour, but I got it in. It is a poem I tossed together in about ten minutes and it is why I am an awesome mock poet.

It is called "Your Horoscope: Female Love".

Listening to that made me want to curl up with a cup of tea and crumpets. . . then turn around and hurl them, all while smiling pleasantly ^_^.

Can I make sort of an appeal to the judges?

I work at Starbucks in the busiest locale in my city, and Wednesdays are fairly busy. I thought that would be alright; I had a decent shift, and I would come home, and finish my freestyle in about an hour. However, I ended up having to stay much longer than I intended, because the night was just as busy as we expected, but it was busier MUCH LATER than we expected. The big rush came in just before I would leave, at about 7 PM. I had to stay and we were extremely busy for almost two hours straight, until about 9:30, and the masses of people died down by 10:00, at which time, I thought the submittals had ended.

Right now, I am extremely tired and in no mood to work on it right now. I hope you all understand why I did not submit it.

I'm not sure about the other judges, but my vote is that we go by the rules and say that late submissions don't count. I would not be surprised in the least if all the other judges agree with me.

I work in a place where people come in rushes, so I know what it's like.

However, rules are rules, unforunately. :<
