Gender Wars Singing Challenge

Singing Challenge

The first event is here! The team's contestants will post their recordings here for everyone to listen to. However, this is only for the contestants to post in. For comments and discussion on the battle, please leave it in the Singing Discussion thread.
Now to kick this battle off, I would like to give everyone a taste of last year's competition. But not just a small taste, the best (as scored by the judges).

For those of you interested in what will be marked, here is the rubric. Keep this in mind while creating your peice. (Remember, it should relate to the Gender Wars!)

Here we go! Boys of Zelda by me on voice and guitar

It's terrible quality, I apologise, my brother decided to take the good microphone on holiday (vacation) with him for some reason. I compensated by singing quieter so the mic didn't o.d., so you can at least understand the lyrics and hear the guitar, even if at times it's like it's underwater!

Now, it's a day late SORRY! I had a really bad experience with everclear, and a cold, and... lets just say I am still hungover from 3 days ago.

Still, maybe even though the voice sucks, we men can appreciate are vast superiority with this wonderful tune.

I already have ideas brewing for next years competition and I will need to remind myself to record it when I am sober! =)

I know this is the wrong spot to continue this discussion but... I must say letting me compete in anything against women is completely unfair for them. I totally understand the reasoning behind it.

Hey, everyone!

First off, thanks for allowing me an extension. For those of you who didn't know why, I was moving out of my apartment on the due date and was in the process of packing all week.

And now, here's my entry. It's based off of Jimmy Eat World's "Pain". Please ignore the guy singing in the background--I couldn't find a karaoke version and I couldn't remove the vocals, so I raised the volume on mine.
