This thread is actually just an opportunity for members of
the DOGG to write up their profiles when they become to long to fit in a social group post. It should be known straight up that
this thread is not for discussion. We just need to use some space for our needs.
But now that I think about it, since this section is all open and exposed, it could be a good opportunity to advertise the DOGG. Let me explain.
----- The -----
/------ Definitive ------\
< ONLINE GAMER's >
\--------- GUILD ---------/
As the above text states very clearly, the
DOGG stands for the
Definitive
Online
Gamers'
Guild. It's a fresh new social group dedicated to building a community of online
ZU gamers. I've rigged it up with a nice little reputation system, so it offers something other 'online meet-up' groups don't.
No, the DOGG is all about reward online players for their skill and talent. You simply
join the group, register a profile in the Friend Code Plaza, set up games in the Battle Coordination Thread and then, if you wish, talk and chat in the Gamers' Lounge. At the moment, the group is still small-time, but the concept is tried and true and could become a very fun new way to challenge your fellow ZUers in your online game of choice. Be it Smash Bros., Call of Duty, Halo, TF2 or any of that, you can challenge other DOGGers and earn points for wins.
Of course, the DOGG is also about the community; we offer opportunities to give advice about the system, how the group is run n' such. I take comments seriously, and I'm always ready to improve it.
Here are some of the features of the DOGG:
<: FEATURES :>
>
Friend Code Plaza:
Using a simple ranking/reward system, you can update your profile with wins, losses, friend-codes, ranks and the games you play. To register a profile, head over to the Friend Code Plaza, and read the simple instructions.
>
Gamers' Lounge:
The casual hang out spot for anyone in the group not setting up battles or anything like that. In the lounge, you can discuss anything you wish without it getting in the way of the actually battles n' such. You can regale tales of your great victories or just debrief with a battle-partner.
>
Group Management:
Quite simply, if you have any quips about the running of the group, post them in 'Group Management'. I'll try to remedy any problems or issues we have based on your opinions.
>
Battle Coordination Thread:
In the BCT, you can set up your battles and meet-ups among friends. Once the group accumulates a bigger user-base, we may hold tournaments in this thread, offering prizes and rewards (banners ). Head over there to get the ball rolling.
>
Alternative Lounges:
Aside from the Gamers' Lounge, there are four other hang-out spots devoted to specific publishers. In these threads, you can discuss things like games, consoles, hardware, software and upcoming products. But only those related to the specific console. Think of them as fan-boy/fan-girl clubs.
----------
ANYWAY, the purpose of this thread is so that users of the DOGG (and DOGG users ONLY) can post their extended profiles.
If you have any questions about the DOGG, then chuck me a line.
Or, better still,
join up with the group and help it grow, experiencing the magic for yourself.
At the moment, the users permitted to comment in this thread are:
> Lord Insizor
> King Zoma
> McDuck
> Xiphiidae
> Triforce of the Gods
> Twilight Wolf
> Darius Andreas
> brokenjoker
so, to those people, if you wish to extend you DOGG profile, do so here.
