And since community coordinators come and go, a social group works much more efficiently than having forum staff add and remove people all the time.

the BPP is not a group or organization, it's a project that hopes to get mor people involved. it's kind of hard for people to get on board when the whole thing is tucked into a social group.

I'm confused.

also, I'm the mod of this section, so It is confusing as to why I never saw this post. This in effect completely makes this whole entire forum irrelevant. where did that quote come from?

Yeah, why haven't we heard this? Also, I would like to request that we don't lose this section. At least not the hidden forum. We kinda need it. And having that thread in plain view would cause fights. Well, it already causes fights. And that's with only two dozen people being able to see it. I'd rather not have to suffer through the chaos of that. Also, social group menu is hard to navigate and easily forgotten. No one ever looks there. Which also means that the project is hidden away where we'll never see it again.

Australia. Still. Currently headed towards Pani/Bex/Shik. Blame Sabbo. And you're not going to get to see it for a while Margar.

Also, this has always annoyed me, but why does ZN always pop up quoting things that a mod should be telling us?

well I can totally understand the community coordinators hidden forum going away and just becoming a social group. that I don't have a problem with. but obviously, it would be completely dumb to make this public part of community central into a social group. And the BPP is not a group or organization, it's just a project. a project that is still open to new participants. so it shouldn't be tucked away.
the only drawback to making the coordinators area into a social group is that it's kind of on the back burner.. I think we can subscribe to the social group topics in the same manner as subscribing to threads, though.

I wonder if there's any sort of tutorial or run-down for the new features? I'll have to snoop around.

What's this about the CC being made into a social group? *hasn't really been on or able to read for a few days* That idea is really just stupid. Then no one would be able to find this area, and no one would pay attention to the posts because it wouldn't be right in front of their noses when the look at the mainboard.

Edit: Also, Sabbo. It would've been less worrysome if you had posted you sent it off to whatever land in the tracking thread. But it's alright, at least we have a clue where it is this minute.

No, he had it for about a month. And I did my best to remember to bug him at least twice a week.

It got delayed. And that was just trying to get the next part of the route in order. Which still might not be finished. Took a while to get everything sorted out.

It was a quote from Jason on my profile page. (...and no, I'm not in it with Jason.) I agree with all of you, projects are not "organizations", and should not be moved to dumb groups.

*Runs away.*

Re: BPP: Official Discussion Thread

this is the second time it has been sent back to a sender.
Either the Aussie post is retarded, people are illiterate and can't properly address a package, or people don't know their own addresses!!

blargh.

Re: BPP: Official Discussion Thread

It was the right address the first time?

Okay, this time I'm not gonna hand-write the address. -_-

EDIT: Okay, this time I got the person at the post office to write the address. They've got pretty neat handwriting too, so IT'SALLGOOOOD.

Now I just need to find somewhere to upload the photos for the tracking thread.

That's ok, that's kind of the point- to see the complete journey played out in that thread. the ups, and the downs

You can be silly about it if you want, blame it on the Aussie post or something. It doesn't have to be too technical. get "angry" about it if you want
