Fight Three: Brawl Showdown

Battle Date: Saturday-Sunday

Judges: Nénuë and Jinny from Team Lassie and Nolan and Mattocks from Team Lads

Contestants: TheBuzzSaw, Kistune, and bitterlime from Team Lads, and CourageWielder, DekuQueen, and <3! from Team Lassie

Rules and Regulations: Each Team will select its finest Brawlers to do combat against the other gender in three brawls, each Contestant fighting one opponent. Matches will take place on Final Destination, no items turned on. Each match will be a four stock match, no time limit, with no restrictions on characters. Each brawl will be composed of three matches, with the person wining two out of three matches being the winner of the brawl.

Judge Guidlines: One person from each brawl is to record the matches on video and upload them to YouTube. Judges will be given the links to verify authenticity. Once authenticity has been determined, the Team with the most brawls won will be declared the winner. Unfortunately, there is no way to keep the winner secret, so secrecy is not required in disclosing the winner.

So how do we deciede the matchups?

No time limit? are you serious? that pretty much means whoever picks snake already won.

Uh, are you aiming that comment towards me? If so, you don't get what I'm trying to say.

Of course snake takes skill to play, but the time limit was added into major tournaments for a reason: with a good number of characters in this game it's far too easy to run away and spam projectiles in certain matchups and on certain stages. Good snake players are possibly the main reason that the rule is there.

Basically, the point of playing FD with no items on is so that no one character has a landslide advantage outside of their moveset. Well, playing on no time already gives certain characters that advantage.

I just realized that I'm trying to talk about fighting game strategy on ZU. As if I haven't learned my lesson before.

Hopefully tomorrow I'll get to my friend's house.

Once I get a list of the women's team, Anime_Queen and myself will match up people by shooting three hobos with specially tipped arrows. Depending on which arrows hit which hobo, that'll determine the lineup.

I'm not sure who else is going to be in the Brawl, but I think I am, Shot.

Shame there's no way to do an online tournament match setup thing. Really kinda lame, as that's the main focus of multiplayer battles with many people online...

Brawlers will be paired based on proximity to try and reduce lag, and to see if we can make sure everyone can get their matches recorded.
