It's not a "Look what I made". This is something where people can all get together and design something together. IFthis was really meant to be a one person job, I wouldn't have posted this here.

Those art boards are usually only for people who made things themselves.

Re: ZU Community Center: Got an idea for a project? Read First Post!

But the point isthat it's like a collaborative art project.

I think that I need to make some changes to the process here, because the longerI do this Comunity Central thing, the more I realize the need for a modification. I'llshare here first though. Here's what I'm thinking-

Not every group project needs to be ZU sponsored.
If you propose your idea, and enough people show interest, then go for it. now things still need to get approved or every shmoe with a lame ideathatthey haven't thought through yet could come in here expecting everyone to love his idea, then take up space with a thread, and BWAM (B**ch, Whine, and Moan-thanks zien) when the project fails.

SO I see this idea having potential if you can get any support. why not makea thread inthe art boards? thenyou could get team members, and maybe use a social group to comunicate, and have a "gallery/database" thread in the forums somewhere, like theart boards or here in CC.

I can't say whether this wouldbe an official ZU-promoted/supported thing, but it could be fun, and you should see if anyone's interested.
start in the art forums

It's just a way to get artists to collaborate. we have art competitions, why not a collaborative project? Then it could be like the Signatureof the Weekcontest in the GD forum. each week there could be a new theme like "zelda cards" or "death mountain" or aquatic enemies"
and people could all make a card. hell, you could even turn it into a little contest.

See, I'm just flowing with ideas, so run with it and see what you come up with!

Alright thank you. This can also mean I can introduce it to other places too.

Anyway thank you. I'll take it to the art board, when I have more time and set up some mroe things.

You said "collaborative art", well, it got me thinking. I'm just bouncing ideas but here me out. First person picks the theme, draws the lines for it, second person colors, third person details, picture is done. Or something to that effect. Or like those old paper games where you fold the paper. First person draws the head, second draws the middle of the body, third draws the bottom. Make sense?

I might be crazy, but it sounded fun to me. LOL

Re: ZU Community Center: Got an idea for a project? Read First Post!

I have a project idea! There was a Christmas carol contest. I want to start a Mother's/Father's Day songwriting and singing contest. Songs about the mother or father of the person who wrote/sang the song, or songs about generic mothers or fathers. I actually admit that I already have something I could use, even though I don't think it's fair that a judge would enter something . I won't enter it to win. Speaking of judges, I'd need a few more people to be judges with me. If this gets approved, I'll "advertise" in the Bulletin Board.

Maybe that would be a good idea as something for you to introduce into the art board. I really like the idea, though, and it sounds like fun! =D I think it could bring a new element to that sector- collaborative (instead of individual display or a contest). Maybe check with one of the art mods to see what they think.

I love the idea, though!

That's why you have meeeee enlisted! =D I've been tackling a lot in the Meetups board, as well as the Gender wars,

so it's kinda consumed a lot of my time on ZU. I like the suggestion! People just need to get an idea started and then seek approval from us. =)

That TOTALLY made me XDD. I like the idea, too. Now, that sounds like something similar to Goron's idea in that it might be a good idea to add to the GD board and change some of the atmosphere. If we want to expand it in some way, it might work out to be a fun community project. =)

We DID have a similar idea when this board first began which we might want to pursue in a little while. Someone starts with a few sentences, the next person draws a picture based off those sentences, then the next person writes a few sentences based off that image, and so on and so forth. In the end, you come up with this bizarre story that makes no sense. XD

Well, this kind of contest would be greatly appropriate for the art and writing section of ZU. The Poetry and Originals would probably be the best place. I suggest you ask a mod there if they would be in support of a small contest like that. It would draw attention to the board, which doesn't get a whole lot of loving right now.

As far as I know, there is something going on with Six Flags, and the meetups.

Okay. Thanks.

Hey, Margar! I think this section's kinda interesting. I can't believe I never came here, honestly.

Is there currently any meet-up project involving Florida, specifically Tampa?

Kinda. Currently in kinda planning is the ZU Meetup Extravaganza, which was going to have several meetups on the same day, all over the world. But there doesn't seem to be enough interest, so I don't know if it'll actually happen or not. But that's the only one I know of near Florida.

What about a ZU App for the iphone? So we can access ZU on the go.
There's an easy option for this - > if you've ever tried going on to eHow or gamespot or the likes on the iPhone, the page reroutes to a mobile phone version. This is an easy way to make ZU iPhone applicable without having to manage a downloadable app. When you access the page a m.'pagename' is access instead, formatted for phone-viewing. I propose very low megabyte sizes and a mobile-version navigation that is different to the one here.

Yes, creating a downloadable App can be troublesome, and it costs a bit of money (of course we could charge 99 cents for it). But having a "mobile version" might be easier. I'm not sure that'd be possible with vbullitin... does anyone know?

Cause I would love to go on ZU via my phone, but it sucks really hard, so I don't.

Uh, guys? There's already a ZU mobile. Select it at the bottom under site skins.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but I doubt we could even make an app with our current finances. But maybe I'm wrong; I'm no webmaster, after all.

As for a Florida project, how about we get together everyone from Florida, south Georgia, and other surrounding states and go to Disney, Busch Gardens, or Adventure Island?
It would be fun!
