Scrapbook XVIII: ENTIRE ZU IS BABIES

I just came back from the great wild woods of Götaland. I didn't bring my camera, because of obvious reasons, but I took some cellphone pics. I think I will have to upload some not-so-bad pictures here one day, to show that I do take nice pictures sometimes.
Here's my trip, mostly brought to you by Oliver the dog.

The journey to the woods took about four hours. We hade craploads of luggage, considering that our stay in the wilderness only lasted for two days.


Our wildlife trip consisted of 25 kilometers of canoeing and 25 kilometers of "dressin" (kind of like a very small train that you push forward by pedalling. like a multi-wheeled bike on railroad tracks). The dressin ride was TERRIFIC. We drove so fast (too fast, double the allowed speed) and felt the wind in our hair and oh it was lovely. We had to go fast because we stopped so often to pick some totally nice mushrooms for dinner.


The view was quite nice at times.


Canoes! My best friend and I went to high school together. We became friends seven years ago, when we, during P.E, got to share canoe. She said "Ah, seems like we are the only ones left. Wanna share a canoe?" So this trip was sort of like a seven year celebration.


The first day of canoeing was quite pretty. It was golden evening sunshine (the best kind of sunshine) and the distance wasn't very hard to paddle.
Canoeing was: A) tiresome. B) very fun (we had such high morale in our canoe, great times really). C) super annoying (especially on the second day, when we paddled for ages without finding a camp site and we were so very tired) and D) butiful.


The first camp site was DA BOMB, in retrospect. We had a wind shelter and a nice fire and sunshine. I hate sleeping in a tent, but this location was OK.


The second camp site was not so great. No wind shelter, a poor fire and bad weather.


On the second day of paddling, we got the hang of the technique. On the third day, we did some AWESOME paddling. We paddled skillfully and it was sunny weather and we saw a baby moose running in the water (with an anxious mother waiting in the woods) and yeah. We had lunch on some nice cliffs before we paddled the last hundred metres to civilization. We reached Gothenburg four hours later, and went to buy PIZZA yeahhhhhhh. And we showered. Oh how we showered. With shampoo and shaved legs and moisturizer and dry towels mmmm.

Went to a manor we rented out on the weekend with my boyfriend and ~15 of his old high school classmates. Was quite nice~

Lady Sunshine, Eek and Tootsierool, you gals are drop dead gorgeous in my book, my jaw literally dropped to the floor when I saw your pictures (I really like your dress a lot, Lady Sunshine)

Ahluk and Boy, you guys are extremely handsome, (I love the picture of you and your dog, Ahluk what breed is she/he?) and Boy, you and your gf look like an awesome couple


Couldn't really good pictures of me though, I don't like the way I smile in a few in them.

And I would also like to point out that sometimes I hate my glasses (they are a bit imposing), but yesterday I liked them. They are my babies, I wanted my old glasses to break so that I could go get my Wayfarers (I'm hip like that ok).

When I got home, I brought 55 pounds of Hatch Green Chile bought in Albuquerque, New Mexico and delivered all of the way to Waldorf, Maryland.

MMMMM. They're roasting right now, so they smell good.

Also, I lost 30 pounds this summer.
