Congratulations, Amy^^ It's certainly well-deserved. Our glorious leader of Farore.
I can't really say that I know you very well, but from what I know you're a wonderful woman. Humorous, intelligent, kind and hard-working (which you showed very well when doing the Farore awards).
Congrats tnf! Though we've only talked briefly in and out of farore it's clear that you put a lot into the community and farore especially. You're welcoming to members of farore old and new alike which makes it such a great place to be. This is well deserved, tnf C:
Hooray for Amy!
Contrary to what some people may have believed, she's an excellent mod for Farore and has transformed it into truly the best clan. Farore is a very fun place that can get lots of laughs, but we can and do have discussion about life and all of that other stuff.
For this week we'd like to highlight mattj. Chances are you wouldn't know who he is unless you frequent the Serious Discussion board. Now, he has had some run-ins and fights with the board in the past, but he's come a long way since then.
The staff, and the SD team in particular have been impressed with his contributions to the forum over the past year. Understand that our forums house many more people with liberal beliefs as opposed to conservative, and as a result he's one of the few (perhaps even the only) person who holds a certain belief.
Despite this, he has made excellent arguments and remained civil while in debates, even when he was presented with members attempting to mock or flame him. People may not agree with his points, but that doesn't mean he isn't good at articulating his thoughts. We believe he is an integral part of the Serious Discussion forum; he usually brings to the table a different viewpoint. At the very least, he is more than happy to share his beliefs on a subject.
He doesn't stick his head out of the Serious Discussion board that much, but there's more to him than "That conservative dude." He is a musician! He can sing and play guitar and stuff. We recommend checking it out and leaving a comment or two for him.
It can be difficult in this day and age to stand firmly in your religious beliefs--in fact, such a stand can be met with hostility or scoffing. But differences in beliefs aside, it's hard to not recognise the unwavering strength in mattj's beliefs, how diligently he stays firm in that, and that in itself is a beautiful and admirable thing to behold.
Congratulation mattj. I have to admit, through lurking in the SD and reading through this one thread, I used to not think of you very highly, but through lurking more in the SD, I see how you've shined with discussing things. It's nice to see another one of those members who really rose up.
