Here are my comments, repeating some of the earlier comments, but also some new ones. Liked the demo, keep up the good work! Your demo made me post my first post btw!

Positive things

- animations of smoke out of chimneys, dying enemies, charging sword, explosion of bombs
- nice splatter animation when killing Chu Chu's
- LOL at the end of the credits
- love the 'discovered a secret' tune!
- cool that you can block rocks of octoroks with your sword!

General
---------
- intro: Link with purple hair: WTF?
- when going from one screen to another, Link stands still in the new screen (instead of keep on
walking) happens when you roll the direction which you are going (e.g. in one screen, I roll to
the left side once, walk all the way to the left, go to new screen -> Link stands still). When
just walking, there's no problem
- spin technique bug: when sword is fully charged (red) and spin is released, the thing just in
front of Link is not hit when Link is facing up/north (it does work with the partly charged spin
attack though) |Works with bushes and grass, not with octoroks|
- swordbeam bug: hearts fully charged, no sword beam when stand near a wall, facing left or right
- No slowing down animation for going up stairs, Link does slow down in the grass though
- no game over theme yet
- no bomb and/or arrow drops from cutting bushes/grass after obtaining bombs/arrows
- pressing left/right before talking to a person, and then talking to the person (while holding
left/right) prevents Link from going left/right
- color of 10 rupee rupee: should be red instead of yellow to better suit previous games
- no drinking potion animation + no refill hearts animation
- can use potion even if at full health
- after buying heart piece, option to buy shield disappears
- NPC's walk through doorways, very annoying if you want to use that particular doorway
- movements of Keese's awkward: they fly a very short distance after sitting down again.
- when Link blinks after being hit, his shield doesn't blink with him
- recoil time (time blinking/invincible when hit) is on the low side
- power of blue charged spin attack is as strong as the fully charged one (isn't logical)
- no sound effects for charging sword (nice animations though!)

First Building

- Top floor beginning building: right hand corner: color of the wall doesn't match the color of
the rest of the wall + window on the right side shouldn't be there, looks like a solid wall from above.
- Link looks like he's floating while walking to the left/right: looks awkward

----------------
Haven North
----------------
- small rocks that can be picked up seem to be floating due to shadow
- map of Haven North does not work (the name is shown, but no map)
- impossible to see whether you can enter a house or not (maybe open the doors)
- Cuckoo's can walk over bushes (near the fountain at least)
- first room academy: it's not very clear that there's a doorway on the right
- academy first floor: reading the two notes: the action says speak, read would be better + you
have to face the poles to read the notes, location to face the notes should be fixed
- animation for going down the stairs: looks like Link is going up the stairs
- Cuckoo's get stuck at the side of building when hitting them
- guy near fountain that is looking for his brother Elliot does not look very Zelda-ish
- sometimes there is space between trees to walk, it's less confusing if you could not walk in
some parts
- shop: prices of shield and heart piece are not aligned after buying the shield and going back
in
- immediate buying is strange + now knowing what you buy (for instance, you don't know you get 5 bombs until you buy them)
- Sanctuary: windows inside do not resemble design outside (i.e. 3 large windows on the right, 5
smaller ones on the left)
- transition glitch: when you walk just above the sanctuary to the left, you end up in hyrule
field.
- price of red potion: 68? doesn't fit with the rest of the prices

Hyrule Field
---------------
- Treasure chest with the bow: corner sprite is walkable
- closed cave in hyrule field: you can throw rocks through the closed door.
- can throw bombs off screen (on the connection between two screens)
- when entering hyrule field from north haven, go the right and leap down once. There's a bush
there with some grey. If it's not part of a secret, it's a bad sprite.

------
Cave
------
- bats in cave cannot fly over small rocks?
- no walking animation for going down in the cave to the bottom level
- enemies fall down pits, but not rupees (downstairs cave)
- downstairs cave: volume goes up in the room with all the pots (downleft: bombs, upleft: arrows,
right: hearts) after picking up the key and/or heart piece out of the treasure chests
- octorok rocks blocked by sword above pit don't fall into the pit, but smash on nothingness
- ledge to the right side of the crystal ball switch (underground cave) looks too sharp (not
correct sprites)
- same for boss room: small hole in the ground, right side
- boss fight: close off the area when the battle starts, like in darknut battle room.
- after beating boss of cave, when you leave the room, the room gets reset and you have to fight
the boss again. And you get a full or an empty treasure chest as a reward (depending if you got
the arrow upgrade before or not)
- throwing bombs at the switch in the cave does something strange with the bomb animation

Nameless Forest
--------------------
- green and red Chu Chu's have a zero floating above them
- bombing the three cracked block near the treasure chest where you get the bombs: it takes one
bomb from the bottom to blow the three blocks, but two from the top: that's strange!
- red chu chu's are as strong as the green ones, that's strange
- first pond incredible nameless forest: water seems to be moving to the right, but that's odd in
a pond
- you can get stuck on the cracked blocks if you don't have bombs (you can jump on the cracked
blocks from above)
- sprites at the bottom of the waterfall on the right side of the grassy area (with the green and
red Chu chu's) are messy.

Forest Dungeon
-------------------
- when you've rescued the messenger, his shadow looks like he's floating.
- you can redo the darknut battle after you first rescue the messenger, you should not be able to
do this twice
- pre darknut battle room: when you go down, there is a sprite of a stair, but when you enter the
next room, the doorway from which you come does not have a sprite of a stair, plus if you
press down too long, it's easy to fall in the pit in the room below.
- key in forest dungeon useless.
- first room of forest dungeon: after opening the door with the 'fire arrow': when you reenter
this room, you have to relight the candle again = strange
- nice shielding move of boss battle with darknut
- why are all the enemies gone after finishing the forest dungeon? (could be plot related)
- when raining, it's quiet inside all the houses!
- when raining, sometimes a rupee/heart shows up randomly on the field when entering hyrule field

Loving the game, I just downloaded it.
The clocktower elevator guy cracked me up, and the prologue was classic. If I could make a suggestion, include more MAH BOI!

Also, I noticed a fairly major problem with the water physics, you seem to be drawn into the water, which can get frustrating when trying to walk along the shallow edge in the early parts of the game

ANNOUNCEMENT

We've had a lot of help from the people who have done video playthroughs of our demos and they've actually been referenced quite a bit when discussing the demos.

While we do test the game ourselves it's apparent that you guys are much better at it. Therefore we've decided to put together the Tester Group.

What will the Tester Group do? Well, whenever we finish a larger feature (say Save and Load for instance) we will build a quick testing area for the Tester Group. The group will be relatively small, no more than five people and the files will be sent to each member privately.

This is an opportunity for those of you who want to help but don't have time to help out with developing the game or couldn't find a good place in our team. To be clear, the Tester Group is not officially part of the dev team and will not gain CC access but will still get in-game credits for their efforts and will of course help us a lot.

So what do we want from a Tester? You need to be able to record your gameplay experience and you should be able to play through the files thoroughly and finally send us the videos. A good example of this would be Zecora's videos.

The Tester Group will be subject to gameplay features that haven't been revealed yet and so, we expect you not to spoil these features for everyone else. In other words, the testing files we send you are meant for your eyes only.

If you are interested in being part of the Tester Group please send your application to Rarity through a PM. The application including a sample video as well as your PC specs. The reason for this is that we need to test the games performance as well, so having testers with different specs is preferable.

Wink Glitch/bug

I might be a bit late with this one, but I noticed you didn't have it marked down.

When you leave the Incredible Nameless Forest to Hyrule Field, and the you go up those stairs, you will see the place that you jumped down from to get there. in front of that, you will see a gate/fence. you can walk up that cliff and keep walking up until you get back to town. If you don't understand, I will add a video on YouTube and I will send it to you.

This a great start guys, but since I was born in the time of 3d Zelda, I am not very good at this game. That said, the controls are sexy and I like how you guys used a Twilight Princess- esque graphic style. Still, the graphics need a little more polish. One question though, Will the game be free when it is done, or will I have to purchase it?

^ As far as motivations go, nobody's in it for the non-existing money. We've made it clear that it's a fan-made, non-profit project and that's the way it's gonna stay. Besides, we wouldn't be able to sell it even if we wanted to, for legal reasons.

The full game is still a long way off. Don't forget that this is all volenteer time, and a lot of our team are still in school, have jobs, all sorts of stuff which does leave a ton of working time. So at this point we're really just doing what we can, with no specific date in mind.

1337 / (P x ApS + Sp x AspS + D x AdS) + ( A x AaS + 3M x AmS) + H'T


P = number of Programmers
Sp = number of Spriters
D = number of Designers
A = number of Artists
M = number of Musicians
H'T = Hombre's Time

AxS= Average Skill of position listed above (i.e. ApS = Average programmer Skill)

In layman terms: the more people we have on the team, the faster it will get done

LOLZERZ I live in a town called north haven! Besides that, I wish you all luck with the fangame. It would be pretty awesome if you could release it for mac, but don't worry about it. I have one question, what are you programming in?

By the way, you also have to minus the amount of time used for work/school, eating time and sleeping time per day. Then you have to multiply that by what you already have.

Also, with two variables, you shouldn't add the multiply sign. If you already know the number of people on the team and their skill, you should write that down.

You should have a blackbox tester: someone who wil try and destroy the game with as many glitches as possible.

This may only be a demo, but I can see the amount of time and effort put into it. Great job so far.

Also I liked how the story was introduced, especially that intro. =P

I actually only found out about this very recently, didn't realize any of the Zelda sites were involved in a project like this. So I'll be sure to help spread around the word in any way I can.

Played it and thought it was to hard to find dungeon.I still dominated but wizardrobe was a little hard
